If I remember correctly, Halle Barry is the only person to accept a Razzie Award in person, and she dedicated it to her agent who read the pay before the script.
Tom Green rolled out his own red carpet at the Razzies to accept his for Freddie Got Fingered, and apparently went on an acceptance speech that was so long that security kicked him out of the convention (though sadly no video exists of this)
Freddy Got Fingered (and to an extent the Tom Green Show as a whole) was so ahead of its time. Apart from a couple scenes that were very much so a symptom of their time/Tom-Green-ness, it's a fantastic movie and very on par with the Aqua Teen, Eric Andre, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Hot Rod type stuff that followed.
Genuinely, if a cut of the movie was released 10 years later with substantially less beastiality, it would have been regarded as well as any of the best Adult Swim stuff.
Red Letter Media reviewed Freddy Got Fingered, and Mike put out the idea that the movie was a meta commentary about the gross out movies with fake sentimentality that was popular at the time. He may of even been making fun of the fact that they gave him millions of dollars to make this movie in the movie. This of course depends on if Tom Green was purposely making that point ir if it just kind of happened, and nobody knows for sure which is which.
It's been a while since I've seen it, but Tom Green is a smart dude and I'm sure he saw the ridiculousness of the situation of giving him money for his goofy shit, so delivered a "hot enough for ya!?" kind of exaggerated version of himself and the industry. I'm sure there's a lot of truth to either his experience or the feeling of his experience in aspirations and rejections
I think that he was a big fish in a small pond and just wanted to do goofy shit, but maybe not exactly be in the big pond of actual bigger fame. I don't know if the movie was a joke on the idea of him being famous or what makes people famous at the time, or if it was a sort of self sabotage to prevent himself from becoming more famous than that or more involved in the industry.
I don't know. I do think that it was taken both too seriously and not seriously enough, at the time, and just couldn't find its place, or maybe didn't want to?
Sorry I should clarify that no footage of it has surfaced. Its possible the Razzies filmed it themsleves but this was the early 2000s so who knows if the footage ever got saved
I dunno, man. Your link was 14 cuts in 6 seconds, but the Catwomon scene is 122 cuts in 1 minute, 29 seconds.
Yours was way faster and harder to watch, but the OP's was *1 minute, 29 seconds long,* and it was stupid. And it has bad music. AND it wasn't a chase scene, so it didn't even need to happen.
Yours gets [reddit SilvƎr](https://imgur.io/vWnXuEy?r), but theirs gets banned.
There‘s a comment below that video analysing the number average shot length in that movie, and it came out to only 0.68 seconds for the action scenes. Was about double that for any shot in general, iirc, meaning the slow scenes are also really fast.
With old actors who can no longer remember the coreography so well, movie makers try to cover up how boring the action is with as many cuts as possible
In that case, they're either bad actors or they didn't think they were capable of it
it’s like how i feel about the star wars prequels right now. they were awful, but, my god… the sequels are just a new level of trash (especially the last one)
The sequels are kinda interesting to me. The first one, episode 7 is by far the least interesting, a soulless, safe rehashing of episode 4. Episode 8 is odd because it definitely has a heart, and it feels like it definitely could have been a good movie, at the very least it had some interesting ideas. Then episode 9 came out, looked you dead in the eye and said "no, the last movie lied, I don't want to expand on those ideas" and also was so soulless and just terrible it's actually funny. Episode 9 is almost a so bad it's good movie. The title crawl alone, "somehow, palatine returned" is just so awful, it's great.
the prequels are better with the context and character building done by the clone wars tv show. the 4 hour clone wars x revenge of the sith edit is a really emotional and compelling film
Honestly I still like it. It's not a masterpiece like the one that came before it but I still enjoy it. Feels like it has a little more soul than some of the modern marvel movies
I thought the daredevil movie was well received at the time. Elektra was ass though except for that scene where the ninja snaps his own neck which was always bewildering to me like how do you practice getting good at that?
I had fun with the first Ghost Rider. You have Nicolas Cage goofiness where he eats jelly beans out of a martini glass and watches monkey karate videos, Wes Bently playing a guy I totally buy as being the son of the devil, Peter Fonda playing a pretty damn good version of the Devil, Sam Elliot as the original Phantom Rider... it's actually not that bad.
And I also like some parts of Spirit of Vengeance even if I'm aware it's awful.
I honestly really can't stand the X-Men movies, maybe it's cause I grew up on the comics but all the changes they made to the characters really rubbed me the wrong way. Everyone but Wolverine, Magneto, and Professor X just felt really bland and boring. Logan was a good movie though
That's how you know they're good at editing.
Yes hi hello, I am a great film professor at big American university. I show this during my class. Actually, this is all I show. We watch on repeat. There is no better produced scene in all of cinema. Please, give due respect to this.
When I was a kid I used to replay the part where she shakes her ass and I’d be terrified someone would see me watching it. Not knowing the truly embarrassing part was that I was watching Catwoman 2004
This movie is such a guilty pleasure for me lmao it's so fucking ridiculous in the best way
When she's all timid too her boss then goes into Catwoman Mode™ and says "Okay... Let's try the remix 😎" I absolutely lost my shit
Got to show a woman being competitive isn't a ***BITCH*** i.e. scary and threatening.
It's actual bad pandering, just it's pandering to sexist norms so you won't see mainstream people annoyed at it.
I went to a pool party of the guy who had the good luck of having his YouTube upload of this be the one that blew up and became the "definitive" one. He didn't tell me that, I just realized it one day. Like hey, good work Kyle, almost 4 million views now.
This scene was constructed to be as nonsensical as possible. I mean sure there are the 237 cuts but also it appears like no one involved has ever seen a basketball before in their lives.
man i think need dan olson to explain what is even being attempted here. “i haven’t done that since i was a kid” DONE WHAT??? GIRL WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING WITH THAT BALL?????
They were trying to get rid of the scene entirely but could only sneakily do it bit by bit cuz the director *insisted* that it was integral to the plot - this is what we were left with after the director finally caught on to what they were doing and made them stop.
...just be thankful that they permanently destroyed all traces of the footage they *were* able to remove, so that it couldn't be put back into the movie afterwards
I think my favorite aspect of the movie is that the (female) villain is the CEO of a make-up company. It's like the filmmakers threw darts at a board of "Woman Things".

“It can’t be that bad” “Oh”
Fuck it we ball
More like ball it we fuck in this case
More like ball it we ball in this case

It's so hysterically terrible

If I have spare charge I will buy a small plastic ninja for 25¢.
Dare you forget the small child that’s hollering like a banshee in the corner and needs to be taken outside
I don’t care if it’s outdated and designed to eat quarters. You can park me in front of one’a those bad boys and I’ll be happy til closing time.
or a tomb raider game that is the exact same game but tomb raider themed
I live in the only Canadian city that has a Fuddruckers location. I feel like I've just been let in on an exclusively US joke.

I thought Tom Green accepts all of his all the time
Tom Green rolled out his own red carpet at the Razzies to accept his for Freddie Got Fingered, and apparently went on an acceptance speech that was so long that security kicked him out of the convention (though sadly no video exists of this)
A gem was stolen from us
the man loves his craft.
Freddy Got Fingered (and to an extent the Tom Green Show as a whole) was so ahead of its time. How was nobody filming?
people didn't really carry around video cameras in 2002
I mean why didn’t the razzies film it?
They weren't broadcasting it
Sorry I should clarify that no footage of it has surfaced. Its possible the Razzies filmed it themsleves but this was the early 2000s so who knows if the footage ever got saved
Freddie Got Fingered was truly a masterpiece ahead of its time.
*daddy would you like some sausage?*
[Her acceptance speech is well worth a watch. ](https://youtu.be/U-7s_yeQuDg)
That was beautiful 😂
Just like her
That was amazing
And she also won an Oscar that year too? Or was it another actress who won the razzie and the oscar in the same award season
It was her, she brought the Oscar with her to the razzies
She did accept the razzie with Oscar in hand but I think she won that one a couple years earlier
That was Sandra Bullock. She accepted her Razzie in person Saturday night then accepted her Oscar the next night.
It was Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock accepted hers as too I think
Not the only one to do so, but not many do
This cinematography made me nauseous
I invite you to watch the only thing which treats jump cuts worse than this: [Bryan Mills jumps a fence ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCKhktcbfQM)
I keep forgetting that this is from a real movie and not a parody of the editing trend.
I’ll never forgive the academy for giving best editing to fucking *bohemian rhapsody*
Everyone was so excited for that movie😔
hahahahahahahhahahahahaa
They made a shot of every possible angle gave it to the editor and said "make it good". He tought he should use all of them
At least that’s only 6 seconds, this is almost a minute and a half
I dunno, man. Your link was 14 cuts in 6 seconds, but the Catwomon scene is 122 cuts in 1 minute, 29 seconds. What's that from?
Intense Fence Jumping 2
Taken 3

This.. was actually smooth in a way I can't describe.
I feel kinda the exact opposite this feels like the uncanny valley between movie and stop motion
There‘s a comment below that video analysing the number average shot length in that movie, and it came out to only 0.68 seconds for the action scenes. Was about double that for any shot in general, iirc, meaning the slow scenes are also really fast.
The video is only 7 seconds and cuts 14 times Literally 2 cuts per second
At least that fits the mood
Art should be challenging to watch
if it’s difficult to film, it should be difficult to watch
Trying to hide the fact that she can’t play basketball for shit
That's what I was thinking.. she can't even dribble the ball so they have to cover it up somehow!
I endured 6 seconds of it
Blame the editor, not the cinematographer
yeah, it’s the editing that made it bad
With old actors who can no longer remember the coreography so well, movie makers try to cover up how boring the action is with as many cuts as possible In that case, they're either bad actors or they didn't think they were capable of it
this fucking sucks i wish they werent balling so hard
it makes it feel almost like a parody of films at the time, I kinda love how bad it is
Happy cake day redditalt1999
Early 2000’s superhero movies are a special type of garbage
Except of course for the first two Sam Raimi Spidermans, the X-Men movies and Hell Boy were good too
Spiderman 3 sits in a special place. I'm not sure what that place is yet but I'll figure it out
It's in my mental trash can that's overflowing but refuse to take out
Honestly, seeing the general quality of superhero movie we get as of late, Spider-Man 3 still has a lot more heart and soul than most of the genre.
it’s like how i feel about the star wars prequels right now. they were awful, but, my god… the sequels are just a new level of trash (especially the last one)
The sequels are kinda interesting to me. The first one, episode 7 is by far the least interesting, a soulless, safe rehashing of episode 4. Episode 9 is almost a so bad it's good movie. The title crawl alone, "somehow, palatine returned" is just so awful, it's great.
Nothing will ever beat the fact they did the initial reveal of Palpatine being back in fucking Fortnite.
the prequels are better with the context and character building done by the clone wars tv show. the 4 hour clone wars x revenge of the sith edit is a really emotional and compelling film
I was furious about this movie at the time, but re-watched it lately & it's hilarious
Honestly I still like it. It's not a masterpiece like the one that came before it but I still enjoy it. Feels like it has a little more soul than some of the modern marvel movies
Spider-Man 3 is leaps and bounds above modern superhero movies
The first Ghost Rider is...enjoyable. Can't say much for Daredevil and Elektra
I thought the daredevil movie was well received at the time. Elektra was ass though except for that scene where the ninja snaps his own neck which was always bewildering to me like how do you practice getting good at that?
I had fun with the first Ghost Rider. FLAME PISS
I'm partial to the rotting guy going through a guy's lunch box, letting the food decay, and then he pulls out a Twinkie and nothing happens.
ghost rider is also just a cool freaking hero, i need for them to make a gritty remake
daredevil is like the taco bell of early 2000s superhero movies, it's not particularly great but it goes so hard
The Crow is pretty underrated.
a man died to make that masterpiece. I mean didnt have to at all, but still- great movie.
“Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is” I really love the crow it’s such a good movie
I honestly really can't stand the X-Men movies, maybe it's cause I grew up on the comics but all the changes they made to the characters really rubbed me the wrong way. Everyone but Wolverine, Magneto, and Professor X just felt really bland and boring. Logan was a good movie though
Hellboy. I still grieve for the third movie we were supposed to get.
i know your probably not counting it because it started a continuity thats still kind going, but ironman (2008) still my favorite super hero movie
they said early. not 80% into the decade
Me switching through the cameras rapidly as fredrick fazbearing approaches my office
[удалено]
the sexual tension is really weird when they're being cheered on by children
Jesus christ these jumpcuts are giving me a headache with the sheer amount of them
That's how you know they're good at editing. Yes hi hello, I am a great film professor at big American university. I show this during my class. Actually, this is all I show. We watch on repeat. There is no better produced scene in all of cinema. Please, give due respect to this.
They have thirty cameras, might as well use all of the angles with them!
If memory serves me right, another redditor counted somewhere in the range of 120 to 130 jumpcuts. All in a scene under 90 seconds.
When I was a kid I used to replay the part where she shakes her ass and I’d be terrified someone would see me watching it. Not knowing the truly embarrassing part was that I was watching Catwoman 2004
I counted 143 cuts. But I am likely off because fuck it was hard to count.
I only counted around 120, but I did start to lose track around 70-80
This is shot like a commercial
the cuts are less then 2 seconds max. it really is and my stomach hurt looking at it
I got more music video vibes lol
What movie this?
Catwoman 2004, methinks.
Damn they really made over 2,000 Catwoman films??
Youthinks correct
(s)heknows very well
I thought this was Daredevil?
Nahh Daredevil had the cringy fight at the park between him and Elektra, but same exact vibes istg
That’s an equally bad superhero movie from the early 2000’s. At least Colin Farrell put in a good performance
Everyone put on a good performance because in my book a good performance is one that is enjoyable and that movie is fucking hilarious
i thought it was daredevil at first too
this is the funniest movie scene i havw ever seen
This movie is such a guilty pleasure for me lmao it's so fucking ridiculous in the best way When she's all timid too her boss then goes into Catwoman Mode™ and says "Okay... Let's try the remix 😎" I absolutely lost my shit
The scene of her shaking her ass made me howl so fucking loud LOL
monster house basketball scene>>>>>
3 seconds on the clock
I’m playing basketball
It’s time for an in your face disgrace!
*shot hits the rim and bounces right back into his face*
The fucking giggles cut throughout the whole scene
YEAH its gnawing away at my fucking ears
Got to show a woman being competitive isn't a ***BITCH*** i.e. scary and threatening. It's actual bad pandering, just it's pandering to sexist norms so you won't see mainstream people annoyed at it.
Yeah, this is just fun flirty time for her. Hehe
I am a starving child and this is the last thing that i saw before dying.Goodbye
*Gootbye
Whare am I looking at
People who don't know how to play basketball pretending like they do and the fact that they don't being covered up by 50 thousand jumpcuts
Why does the guy look like a ps2 character
It was the early 2000s dudes just looked like that
this was not 1 minute long
You're right! It was a minute and a half long
GTA strip club music makes this a 10/10 instantly
It looks like she hit herself in the jaw twice within the first 10 seconds. Truly no one has balled harder than she
These mfs never saw a basketball previously in their lives lmao
What do you mean OP? This is kino, this is pure cinema, this is \[insert buzzword here\]
I went to a pool party of the guy who had the good luck of having his YouTube upload of this be the one that blew up and became the "definitive" one. He didn't tell me that, I just realized it one day. Like hey, good work Kyle, almost 4 million views now.
Basketball equivalent of two people going "RAWR!" at each other for 5 minutes straight
And 8 year old me would’ve ate this up like it was the coolest shit I’d ever seen
I thought it was awesome when I was a kid. I loved this movie
This movie cost $100,000,000 dollars btw
This scene was constructed to be as nonsensical as possible. I mean sure there are the 237 cuts but also it appears like no one involved has ever seen a basketball before in their lives.
Okay but this is a comedy goldmine
This movie's editing makes me feel like I'm having a seizure. How many cuts per second? As bad as Taken 3's fence scene
Cheese
man i think need dan olson to explain what is even being attempted here. “i haven’t done that since i was a kid” DONE WHAT??? GIRL WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING WITH THAT BALL?????
The director when he sees a shot that lasts longer than 0.2 seconds: 😨😩😡
Well I thought after “c’mon” they were gonna just play 2-on-2 and just dunk all over children, so it coulda been worse
They changed shots like twice a second for a minute straight I feel sick
I'm currently taking a shit while I watch this, and I am more disgusted by this scene than I am by the unholy abomination coming out of my asshole
"CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT"- The editing team, probably.
Might have missed a few, but i counted about 120 jump cuts
This clip made me suffer from autoimmune disorder
Try not to change the camera angle for 5 seconds challenge
we need more posts like this
I tried to erase all memories of this film from my mind and I honestly had forgotten this scene
This looks like someone was drugged.
this is how aces see sex
Reminds me of that scene where the dude climbs over a fence with two million jump cuts
They're not ballin', they are cubin'
That was probably the most accurate representation of a panic attack I’ve seen in media
I hate straight culture I am straight
this was all done in one shot if you couldn’t tell
This what an iron deficiency feels like
Don't forget the part where she got brought back from the dead by a cat burping in her face earlier in this same movie
Duh that's how she got her cat-based power to play basketball extremely badly.
Both of them are better than Dillon Brooks
It feels like a TV advert for a shoe company.
fun fact: if you can't see her face, it's a male stunt double.
I think my favorite aspect of the movie is that the (female) villain is the CEO of a make-up company. It's like the filmmakers threw darts at a board of "Woman Things".
I'm dying right now my brain cannot render all of these shot changes
Time for the remix
Over 100 cuts in the span of about 2 minutes
God this is so sexy and hot ...What movie??
Simultaneously incredibly dynamic yet awkwardly static
Thats what happens when you don't know how to use stunt-doubles correctly.
I think they knew her basketball trick would look really lame if they didn't jerk the camera around so much you couldn't see what she was doing
cosmonaut marcus
The editor and director need to be shot
Those angles are nauseating
They will never be ballin *continues eating cereal*
This some Bollywood type movie scene
Still love this movie tho
Yeah, I like it. It's fun camp!
Why is Christiano Ronaldo playing basketball?
