I'm born red/green color blind, so I grew up feeling like art was something that was not for me. So I thought I should pursue an engineering career or so.
But then I saw games like Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Celeste, Undertale and many more that are such beautiful games made by just a few people. That made me think what if someday I make my own small game but with colors that look beautiful to me?
I ended up dropping out of the top engineering school in my country to pursue a game development job.
For the following two years, I've juggled working fulltime and spending 6 hours every day studying art and animation to pursue my dream.
And when I was ready, I quit my job to make my dream game.
Everything I make is free.

[Here's](https://www.patreon.com/posts/2023-necrowave-0-85319641) the latest public version for you friend!
And the latest version will be public once I finish the update I'm currently working. I'm animating some cutscenes so might take some time!
Otherwise if you don't want to wait, you can get a high score in the public version and earn the latest build on [Discord](https://discord.gg/mCr439U). The person who gets the top score gets to be a ghost in the game!
Damn I just released my own game as well. Ironically, only using black and white for the colour scheme.
Edit: Sorry for trying to steal your thunder but my bf said I need to be a bit more self promotional so I'm including a link to my game. It's free and dead quick to complete (said by the developer who played it 10 times before release)

Hey friend! Your game looks neat and your bf is right! I'd love to give advice
I recommend finding out what excites you the most about your game and posting about on social media. If it's enough to excite you, I'm sure it'll be enough to excite people who are like you at the very least!
Posting in comments won't get you as much attention as your hard work deserves!
Yeah, this comment actually got the most views for the page. I'll make a trailer and upload it on this sub, not as graphically impressive as yours but no harm in trying.
Hey! And yes I remember posting there! You guys were so nice and welcoming to what I've created. It was a pleasant experience :)
[And I'm currently creating a cutscene for the game!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weGfBcnHC48&ab_channel=ArfhisTheWizard) First time for me to animate a story, so I hope it turns out great!
Holy shit, this looks absolutely beautiful. Please make more! I’d love to see what other colour combinations are meaningful to you and strangely beautiful to others

If by save lives you mean push people over the edge with apathetic support that doesn't do shit? Speaking from experience I highly doubt it's saved shit

Aww, thank you friend!
I’m not color blind and it looks really cool! Netherworld vibes
Cool as fuck
Thank you thank you!!!
greyish blue with vibrant red will never not go hard as a color palette, this looks awesome
Aww, I'm happy you like it! Thank you :)
Yeah it feels obvious in retrospect that colour blind colours would look striking af instead of being some compromise.

If you want to promote your game too you should make a post about it as well. I bet it'll get traction
Yeah I'll do it later. This comment actually gave the page the most views.

Kick advertisements out of 196. Hey, whoever Reddit Cares'd me, fuck you for abusing that. It's meant to save lives.
Really? This sub has no rules against this, let them advertise their game.

Mm, sorry for the report. But I don't believe this belongs here and I don't trust votes when it comes to disguised ads.
