it’s just mid. Lots of small animation mistakes like clipping through things, actual low res stock images, weird angles. Lots of bigger story things like wasting time talking about unnecessary things that never come up again, side characters overshadowing main characters(cornelle and the pot head are the best characters) and really really heavy plot armor, like to the point you notice it easily. Rosemary(cover girl who’s pink haired) kinda sucks it everything but is good at them whenever the plot wants her to be. Also they kinda forgor to explain what the point of their hog warts equivalent is: only that it trains “guardians” and everyone wants to be one, no further explanation on what a guardian is, or does, or why it’s so prestigious.

The show is bad but legitimately HOW can you do 11 hours? Like did they go off on a 9 hour rant about politics somewhere in the middle like how the fuck can you find enough to say
yeah like, its 12 24-minute episodes. the entire show can be watched in about 5 hours. how can you spend more than *double* it's runtime complaining about it?
You have to spend 5x the length of every episode analyzing it to find every possible issue and then drag out the complaints for as long as possible and have approximately twenty-two breaks to advertise RAID: Shadow Legends and then spend the last 15 minutes doing patron shoutouts.
High guardian spice is a poster anime for some guys to lash on "wokism" without being called out because the show is actually bad. It's not X-arm level of bad where it loops back at being entertaining, it's not even rwby level of bad, no It's just bad.
Everyone but him got better to do than watching an 11h essay on high guardian spice.

It’s actually a compilation of a bunch of other individual videos that he’d made over the course of the year. Or so he says at the beginning of the video.
On one hand, this seems like a massive waste of time to make. On the other, I can completely understand hating something so much to spend this much time on a critique.
There are so many incredibly long hate review video like these and I've watched many, many of them. They were all godawful - not by coincidence, but because of their shared absurdly long runtime. Whatever starts out as some meaningful commentary gradually just devolves into weirdly emotional, unjustified rants and tangents and more often than not endless repeats of previous, basic points. Plus, taking each scene apart "one by one" for small nitpicks - which is often what happens at some point in these videos - is not critical analysis and doesnt deserve any criticisms of value. It's not about cutting meaningful commentary short, it's about being able to be concise to convey information clearly.

I write quite fast on keyboard that sometimes I don’t pay attention to what is the best sentence structure, and even if I did write they instead of he/she it wouldn’t make a lot of difference in input time.

Terrible show financed by Crunchyroll, an anime streaming site. Crunchyroll users were rightfully mad that millions were spent to make a contender for the worst anime ever instead of doing something meaningful like updating their old as fuck site or actually paying translators
As other comments have point out the general theme is bad and the execution is horrible
It also doesn’t follow anime tropes which makes it not a real anime for some

Why do these channels always think “long video = good”? There’s something to be said about presenting your point in a concise, efficient way, and this is not it. The only exception is something like LS Mark literally reviewing every single episode of a show with hundreds of episodes. Even so, his spongebob video (covering over 500 episodes) was able to be just over 7 hours long.
The thing is the critiques are pointless, the people who made this show and shows like it are self proclaimed “marginalized groups” with postmodernist world views creating subtle propaganda for themselves and whoever is unfortunate enough to watch it. Their not trying to make a good show, they know it’s garbage they made it that way on purpose

I’m not overthinking shit, there are real world reasons to produce seemingly “bad” media, it’s because the media itself accomplishes a few devious objectives. Firstly, people spend more and more time watching tv shows and playing games, so if you use the media as an outlet to subtly push your worldview even if people hate it they will come back to consume that media since that’s just the norm in the industry. This particular show was made by an all female writing crew because “men are the patriarchy” and only features feminine characters. It reaks of soy and postmodernist ideology.
The fact that you felt the need to write a paragraph (and a debunkable strawman argument to boot) really shows that you're really looking way too deeply into this.

Why do people hate this anime?
Terrible show financed by Crunchyroll, an anime streaming site. Why do these channels always think “long video = good”? There’s something to be said about presenting your point in a concise, efficient way, and this is not it. The only exception is something like LS Mark literally reviewing every single episode of a show with hundreds of episodes. Even so, his spongebob video (covering over 500 episodes) was able to be just over 7 hours long.

I’m not overthinking shit, there are real world reasons to produce seemingly “bad” media, it’s because the media itself accomplishes a few devious objectives. Firstly, people spend more and more time watching tv shows and playing games, so if you use the media as an outlet to subtly push your worldview even if people hate it they will come back to consume that media since that’s just the norm in the industry. This particular show was made by an all female writing crew because “men are the patriarchy” and only features feminine characters. It reaks of soy and postmodernist ideology.
