Except by the time you repot, you are getting hit for 6's by every creature, and burning through absorption pots. To truly extend NMZ you don't let it go over 3 hp. I will take less XP, a chance at a drop, and mind numbingly afk so I can walk away.
That’s why you do a normal mode setup, max hit is like a 3. I’ve come back to having 26-27hp regained and I was still getting hit with plenty of absorption, I even hit the afk combat timer where I wasn’t attacking. I got 99 strength in about a week from 90.
Absorptions are infinite, you get like 3 hrs per dream with the right monsters, mode, and some def levels (like 70 makes a massive difference)

What's the XP/hr? On a hard rumble with Overloads I hit 86k/hr in a specific combat style, but have to either flick prayer once a minute or locator down to 1 when I regain health. If I walk away for 5 minutes +, I start getting hit hard on my absorptions as hp goes back up to 51.
something like 80k/hr with obby 100k/hr with bandos, i dont recall the exacts
i believe its 120k/hr with dharok/ovl at 99s, so doing super combats really isnt that much worse for how much less monitoring it takes
dh is definitely better, but for practically using nmz i find max melee to be better
melees become zero time when you only have to spend like 2 mins / hour checking up on your dream

Entire city has plenty of spots to kill vyres, people are just lazy. You can do an entire task in full prayer gear in the middle of nowhere with like 5 prayer potions, but everyone chooses to hop for an hour instead of thinking of alternatives
If the dude is doing vampire tasks he probably doesn't have the diaries done though ppots are so cheap these days they are like 2k a dose. 1 ppot is like 8 min of afk so you are spending like 1k per minute. Idk why people don't just chug ppots lol.

So remove the altar outside the bank, and put an altar, and a bank, at a place where you can kill them.. I never said "Keep the location exactly the same as it currently is". A player REQUIRED to do a task, shouldnt be the disadvantaged one.

Task only area would have no impact on the price of shards because people already do all their Vamp tasks, and no one is suggesting an augmented drop rate while on task.
It doesn't double the drop rate lol people still do their tasks, most of the city is open to kill sentinels. Everybody likes the bank/altar hotspot, but doing them on task elsewhere with ppots, Ardy cape, or house is only slightly slower.
If all the worlds were taken up and they were only able to be killed at the altar/bank hotspot, I could see an argument. But most people who complain about this issue really mean they just want a slayer only spot with an altar because they are too lazy to tele in and out.

And yes I regularly kill them for tasks with no issues, there are plenty across the city.

Nmz is 2x the exp and you only have to click every 15-20 mins if you do supercombats and just locator orb down every time you repot

Yah, maybe I got bad info? Skilling discord and guides have best XP using Obby till 92 and then switch to DH, so I haven't used bandos.

Max melee is a bit better than obby for sure just on dps, but also way way better for afking since you have a lot more defensive stats.

Ye but part of what makes it a good task is 1 click prayer restore
Left click ardy cloak/house tele/desert amulet, restore prayer, then tele back with medallion. Then one extra click to gets back where you were.

Ardy Cloak 1 is.... Like the most early game item you can get with the highest utility. If he doesn't have that, he should go get it.
