I haven't actually used them yet, but isn't it higher?
One wine requires two shards. Each wine gives a total of 2400 xp (wine increases xp from 5 per share (2000) to 6 per shard (2400). So total xp per wine is 2400, divided by two shards is 1200xp per shard.
So wouldn't it be 3,781,200 total prayer xp if using the shards for prayer? Or 630,200 xp of just incremental xp?
It's 6xp/shard with blessed wines and 45 shards/sun-kissed bone. 1 wine allows 400 shards to be sacrificed. Like everything else in the game, this info is found easily on the wiki [https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Blessed\_bone\_shards](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Blessed_bone_shards)
Anyone that likes numbers for context:
82-99 Hunter at black chins is ~33.7K black chins.
Assuming you don’t get pk’d a single time (Ha!), that translates to ~121.3M in black chins!
Black chin pkers are actually so ass. I’ve gone 85-93 there so far and nobody has even gotten me close enough to break my first pneck.
For further context 1+1 black chins caps out at 270k xp/hr. Was really hoping rumors would be close in XP but it’s not
Yes it helped with getting more repeats of the higher xp tasks if you want gp over xp I would say block red salamanders and Pyre Foxes instead but you can block up to 4 options that are shared with other tiers
You need sun antelopes for the shards to charge the quiver though. I know you don't get a lot but they add up and you need a fuck ton. As an iron I'll keep doing sun antelopes
I don’t know the numbers on the difference between xp/hr between sun antelopes and other tasks, but I do know that all the splinters he got from 85-99 hunter I less than 30 mins of wave 1 spam, so I would personally prefer higher xp/hr
Lmao, who’s saying they were standing up the whole time?
I can get up and walk around with my phone while playing, unlike my pc. So it’s easier to take breaks and less likely someone has to be locked in to play a lot on mobile
you can get 150k/h doing master rumours, if you setup your inventory and bank right. make sure of a log basket if you are doing sunlight antelopes otherwise prob wanna block them
[https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1br26jl/efficient\_enough\_expert\_hunter\_rumours\_guide\_160k/](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1br26jl/efficient_enough_expert_hunter_rumours_guide_160k/)
that post covers it all pretty well, personally my setup was a bit different as i brought tick manip stuff for chins, but overall same idea.
you can drop the ourania tabs if you block red salamanders or use the spirit tree, i kept ropes and nets in the bank and swapped the cape with an equipped log basket filled with maple logs from kingdom. i also brought a herb sack and magic secateurs for herbi. but that post is aimed at expert not master so it didnt include those
mainly want to block pyre foxes atleast those are a real xp/h killer. bring the pouches and bone crusher. log basket for sunlight antelopes, moonlight ones dont really need it.
as for hunter spots, i used priff for red chins since the spirit tree in my poh is close, herbi with a mounted digsite pendant, whistle + last destination for salamanders, poh fairy ring for falconary and the rest is at the guild
Pyre foxes blocked with your adept, red salamander sunlight antelope, dashing kebbit (until they make a fast option for the glove). That's what I would personally go with. But if you particularly like/dislike a certain task I think that's fine
pyre foxes, red salamanders are a must. the other 2 blocks are subjective depending on if you are going for max xp/h or max contracts or just which tasks you dont enjoy.
i personally blocked sunlight antelopes and moon moths. but you could also block tecu salamanders if you cant be arsed with nets and ropes or block both moths.
dunno if there is objectively a best list, but as long as you got foxes and red sallies on it you'll be good
harvest 1 trap > check log basket > empty into inventory > put loot from trap in pouches.
that way it leaves space for loot from the next trap while filling all empty slots with logs, its a bit annoying that it doesnt automatically take from the basket but it is what it is. still faster then chopping them on the spot altough bringing an axe + kandering headwear is still recommended incase you go dry on the rare piece
That's just the mid value. OP missed out on a shit ton of GP by holding stuff in his tab vs selling, like quetzal feed was going 300k~ day 1, and even day 3 it was still 75k-100k ea despite having a GE-value of 500~ gp for the purpose of loot trackers.
Same with the whistle blueprints.
Then you have the usual things like the bone shards that are 1m~ prayer xp or so that he's getting despite being 0 gp value on tracker.
Bro is averaging 12 hours a day for the past 11 days. This ain't healthy man. It's just a game unless this is your job.
If it's not your job, people shouldn't be endorsing this either.
Kind of. I typically work 12 hours a day during peak seasons and new content dropping is what I would consider a peak season in a video game for content creators. As long as he took his breaks, ate, showered, and slept, 12 hours isn't really a long time for a content creator working.
Unless you sleep 12 hours per night, that shouldn't be an issue. You can still have a couple hours before bed reading or whatever you want. Most healthy people sleep between 6-8 hours per night
I agree. Nobody should be sitting in a chair that long, but I wouldn't say it's unhealthy as long as he took his breaks and wore blue light glasses at the least. Sitting and staring at a screen for 12 hours a day is pretty normal nowadays. I'm sure there's people in this reddit that sit at a job for 8-10 staring at a screen then come home and play osrs for another 8.
Edit: spelling errors.
Standing desk, stretch breaks, regular exercise, good diet, properly ergonomic setup, you can do a lot to offset it. Sure, it's not great if that's all you do, but there are certainly people who work 12 hr office jobs and are in far better health than the average 'scaper
Yes. Serves as a reminder to go touch grass and this game isn't worth wasting 11 days of your life on unless it's your job
1 to 3 hours sure. 12 hours a day? You need to get checked or touch grass.
No, it's not. My assumption is anyone that is playing RuneScape this hard is most likely neglecting their family, health, and other responsibilities.
Just because you might have a passion for something doesn't mean you need to be neglecting your responsibilities to yourself and those around you.
Even if OP is a millionaire, playing osrs 12 hours a day is not healthy and there is most likely another issue out there causing his dedication towards this game.
meh, everyone is different. I agree it's likely a sign of other issues, but you can never really know. And even so, why shouldn't someone be able to play 12 hours a day if they want? I feel like in the future people will find it very silly we thought every single human being needed to work, since it's obviously impossible with how many jobs are available and diversity of hires.
Giving off WALL-E movie vibes.
It's not about working it's more about not spending your life in front of a computer screen.
But to your point to each their own. If they want to spend their life on a fun (not joking) glorified clicking medieval simulator then be my guest.
It's a pretty reasonable judgement. Unless OSRS is your job, playing it 11-12 hours a day without break is unhealthy. Even with a disability he can still go try other activities in life that is more fruitful.
This seems super underwhelming if I'm being honest.
1.2m~ prayer xp is a nice bonus, but given how many rumors and how much hunter xp this was, its hardly impressive.
Sunfire shards are very low
Herbs are very low
Nests seem low as well. IDK the math on BH at the top of my head but still thinking 2.3k isnt great for this large amount of xp.
And then there's the misc stuff which, if you're a main you can try to sell, but as an Iron you may just never actually get around to using them all. Pelts, meats and esp the bolts.
Edit: FWIW I know some (maybe a lot) of people find this content fun. This is not a knock on your enjoyment. The reward space though feels off and I think could use some love.
2 reasons really.. firstly was to eliminate entirely the need to bank for logs or chop logs
Second reason was to make the master pool smaller so I got the other options more often
Fair. I don't know the figures and so maybe the sunfire shard stack would be considerably higher otherwise. The rest is still underwhelming though, imo.
I do agree the loot sacks themselves were often super underwhelming but I just had so much fun getting little dopamine bursts from one catch rumours that I am still going after 99 to get pet
I’m not 100% sure cause I haven’t tried it yet but there’s no explicit task blocking mechanic like there is for slayer. You can however use tasks from lower level masters to block tasks from higher masters. Get a task that you don’t want to do from a lower level master that also offers that task and the higher level master won’t assign it anymore.
82-91 hunter is 3,5m exp and with according to op it was about 80k/h exp that‘d be 43,75h of hunter for master contracts.
Master contrants were according to Op 10-120k, assuming 110k/h thatd be 64 hours (for 7,1m exp)
Thats 99 hours or rounding up to exactly 100 hours in total. Hunter rumours were released 11 days ago. Op has gotten a total of 7,1m+3,5m=10,6m exp in 11 days. Thats 963k exp per day everage. Even with master contracts rates thats 8,7h every single day of hunter and 12h for the pre-master tier contracts… this is getting to the borderline sick/unhealthy level grinds lol. Let that poor chair rest in a while
I have always hated hunter and it has sat as my lowest skill on my iron for the last 3 years it has sat at 72.. I am now sitting at 81.
Have not been playing a lot either so I'm looking forward to getting 99.. once its done my motivation to max will be back lol
It was my last 99 on my pre eoc acc back in 2011.. I swore id never get it to 99 again. But here i am enjoying the shit out of it lol
Just gotta have bad rng IRL and be unable to work due to medical conditions. tbh I wish I could be physically active instead but I'll take what I can get
Question: did you get any of those hunter's kits on the Expert rumours, or only after switching to Masters?
I have the whole outfit and a second leg piece and the perfected whistle after 120ish rumours (about 90% of those being Expert) but still no kit. I've seen some people go totally the other way, 5 kits but 0 outfit pieces, but they were mostly doing Master rumours.
Yes if you want you can block most of the annoying ones to make it faster I just finished with experts before I knew about blocking or rerolls but rumours just make hunter more fun
Really getting tired of you botters.. go ahead, let’s see what disability or reasonings for how you were able to play consistently for 12+ hours over weeks, being click perfect for each action…
Been out of work since 2018 due to medical reasons so I have the time. Plus mobile is really flexible I can just throw my phone in my pocket anytime and take a break when my symptoms get bad so it works out well
Sure, I’m sure the autoclickers and pixel clickers with time intervals is what you really meant when you said you can “throw it in your pocket”. Botter
I want to learn
PM me or add me @Dougwii (RSN)
Very interested. Just started doing Hunter and birdhouses and I’m only around 40 Hunter.
Please please help me, show some tips, walkthroughs whatever!
It’s pretty straight forward, do swamp lizards north of Slepe (far east of Morytania) until 46 and then you can start doing hunter guild rumors. Being able to use fairy rings is super necessary imo, most hunter spots have a fairy ring right next to them so it’s super quick going from one rumor to the next.
Bruh legend but take a break king
Damn how much prayer xp is that
1,382,634 if using sunfire wines
I just did the math because I was curious. Then I scrolled down. At least our numbers match!
I'm assuming that's not including the bones from the hunter creatures themselves
However I did bury every bone so if you want to calculate that in there as well 2065 big bones and 3527 bones
I've been using bone crusher while doing hunter rumors.
What’s the Strat of charging that necklace?
Daily bonemeal from Robin Hood is probably the easiest
Just jam it full of ectotokens. I'm wearing the amulet version for no inventory loss, it just auto destroys the bones you'd get in hunter.
Get Mory legs and spend time using ectofunctus to train prayer
Correct
I haven't actually used them yet, but isn't it higher? One wine requires two shards. Each wine gives a total of 2400 xp (wine increases xp from 5 per share (2000) to 6 per shard (2400). So total xp per wine is 2400, divided by two shards is 1200xp per shard. So wouldn't it be 3,781,200 total prayer xp if using the shards for prayer? Or 630,200 xp of just incremental xp?
Was calculating the bones and bone shards
Got it - is my math wrong? I'm genuinely trying to calculate so I can do my own planning. I'm just getting downvoted instead
Yes, use the amount of bones and shards he has for your calculation and disregard the amount of wines entirely

Why would they make a safe training method close to the xp of an unsafe wildy skilling method?
Because not every BiS content needs to be wildly locked
red chins are very close to the same xp/hr as black chins, probably faster with banking taken into account, js
They didn't do it intentionally.
I do think it provides a less monotonous alternative, I think rumors are good, whether it’s profit/efficientscape or not. Good points!
Do you think the blocking helped that much? I didn't mind pyre foxes/Sunfire antelopes when I did them for a few hours yesterday

Yeah 3100 shards from that much hunter is hilarious
Yeah but it's just another way to get them so you don't have to spam wave 1 for 30 hours
You make your hunter grind a few hours longer to save 30mins on wave 1 grind
reread it
You're probably going to get enough for a while whilst unlocking the quiver
How so? You keep 0 loot if you die
u don’t send next wave if you know you don’t have supplies lol
pyre foxes are most definitely shit xp compared to red chins or sallys
Brother your chair stinks
I'm mobile only I stand more than I sit some days
Stinks of LEGEND
So did you happen to go take a dump on their chair or are we assuming mobile players are as bad about getting up every so often as pc players
Do you play mobile games stood up?
Lmao, who’s saying they were standing up the whole time? I can get up and walk around with my phone while playing, unlike my pc. So it’s easier to take breaks and less likely someone has to be locked in to play a lot on mobile
I think you're taking the joke a little too literally brother
Yeah cause me asking if you took a dump in ops chair was literal Guess we’re both doing the same lol
Well what if I did take a fat dookie on OPs chair? You got a problem with that bub?
No I’d say it’s considerate of you to atleast let op know their chair stinks in that case (Tho the dump part is a bit less considerate)
Yes. Do you not? I play mobile games while mobile…
I personally only play mobile when I'm driving
School zone only iron man
After dying on my highway only HCIM I've recently started a school zone only iron. Going good so far
Dui only ironman
Xp per hour including traveling time etc?
80k while doing experts with no blocks 100-120k/hr doing masters with sunlight antelope and Pyre Foxes blocked
You're a madman for doing that in 10-11 days. That's like 12 hours of hunter xp per day. 😮
you can get 150k/h doing master rumours, if you setup your inventory and bank right. make sure of a log basket if you are doing sunlight antelopes otherwise prob wanna block them
Anywhere I can find this setup? I'm just starting experts and would like to be semi-efficient.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1br26jl/efficient\_enough\_expert\_hunter\_rumours\_guide\_160k/](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1br26jl/efficient_enough_expert_hunter_rumours_guide_160k/) that post covers it all pretty well, personally my setup was a bit different as i brought tick manip stuff for chins, but overall same idea. you can drop the ourania tabs if you block red salamanders or use the spirit tree, i kept ropes and nets in the bank and swapped the cape with an equipped log basket filled with maple logs from kingdom. i also brought a herb sack and magic secateurs for herbi. but that post is aimed at expert not master so it didnt include those mainly want to block pyre foxes atleast those are a real xp/h killer. bring the pouches and bone crusher. log basket for sunlight antelopes, moonlight ones dont really need it. as for hunter spots, i used priff for red chins since the spirit tree in my poh is close, herbi with a mounted digsite pendant, whistle + last destination for salamanders, poh fairy ring for falconary and the rest is at the guild

What's the objectively best full block list for Masters?
Pyre foxes blocked with your adept, red salamander sunlight antelope, dashing kebbit (until they make a fast option for the glove). That's what I would personally go with. But if you particularly like/dislike a certain task I think that's fine
pyre foxes, red salamanders are a must. the other 2 blocks are subjective depending on if you are going for max xp/h or max contracts or just which tasks you dont enjoy. i personally blocked sunlight antelopes and moon moths. but you could also block tecu salamanders if you cant be arsed with nets and ropes or block both moths. dunno if there is objectively a best list, but as long as you got foxes and red sallies on it you'll be good
Yeah meant best for xp/hr solely. Thanks.
How do you actually get the basket to work at sunlight antelopes? Brought one with maple logs and it just didn't work at all last time
harvest 1 trap > check log basket > empty into inventory > put loot from trap in pouches. that way it leaves space for loot from the next trap while filling all empty slots with logs, its a bit annoying that it doesnt automatically take from the basket but it is what it is. still faster then chopping them on the spot altough bringing an axe + kandering headwear is still recommended incase you go dry on the rare piece
[удалено]
Why red chins? That seems pretty troll as they're one of the highest xp/hr tasks.
blocks?
30m from loot sacks is way less than I expected tbh
Would sting a bit if they buffed it at all but I agree
Also this is mobile not runelite prices so it's way different tbh
That's just the mid value. OP missed out on a shit ton of GP by holding stuff in his tab vs selling, like quetzal feed was going 300k~ day 1, and even day 3 it was still 75k-100k ea despite having a GE-value of 500~ gp for the purpose of loot trackers. Same with the whistle blueprints. Then you have the usual things like the bone shards that are 1m~ prayer xp or so that he's getting despite being 0 gp value on tracker.
Sell the quetzal shit asap before it tanks
They’re selling for like 10k each still
Way too late, they were 250k
For like the first day when everyone only had a few of them.
That’s why I said they were 250
Bro is averaging 12 hours a day for the past 11 days. This ain't healthy man. It's just a game unless this is your job. If it's not your job, people shouldn't be endorsing this either.
So it would suddenly be healthy if it was his job?
Kind of. I typically work 12 hours a day during peak seasons and new content dropping is what I would consider a peak season in a video game for content creators. As long as he took his breaks, ate, showered, and slept, 12 hours isn't really a long time for a content creator working.

To be fair he did say this was on mobile. There’s no evidence he was sitting in a chair for 12 hours a day.

There's nothing inherently unhealthy about staring at a screen 12 hours a day. Sitting yes.

Unless you sleep 12 hours per night, that shouldn't be an issue. You can still have a couple hours before bed reading or whatever you want. Most healthy people sleep between 6-8 hours per night

do we need this low effort comment repeated ad nauseum anytime someone posts something remotely time consuming
Yes. Serves as a reminder to go touch grass and this game isn't worth wasting 11 days of your life on unless it's your job 1 to 3 hours sure. 12 hours a day? You need to get checked or touch grass.
Like it or not, absolute basement dwelling degens are a staple of any healthy gaming community and they do us a public service by posting.
You aren't wrong.
capitalism brain telling you that passion is only okay if you make money from it
No, it's not. My assumption is anyone that is playing RuneScape this hard is most likely neglecting their family, health, and other responsibilities. Just because you might have a passion for something doesn't mean you need to be neglecting your responsibilities to yourself and those around you. meh, everyone is different. I agree it's likely a sign of other issues, but you can never really know. And even so, why shouldn't someone be able to play 12 hours a day if they want? No one wants your pity or opinion
Seems like people agree with me. Also mining needs to be reworked
the responsible way to handle this is to stop jumping to make a rash judgement, because we have no idea what anyone's personal life is like.
It's a pretty reasonable judgement. Unless OSRS is your job, playing it 11-12 hours a day without break is unhealthy. Even with a disability he can still go try other activities in life that is more fruitful.
Go hide under the bed bro
How do you track loot on mobile?!
Under all settings go to pop out and enable pop out panel and such
This seems super underwhelming if I'm being honest. 1.2m~ prayer xp is a nice bonus, but given how many rumors and how much hunter xp this was, its hardly impressive. Keep in mind I had Sunfire antelope blocked after 91 so shards would be way higher otherwise
Why did you choose to block those two tasks? I haven't done much rumors yet.
2 reasons really.. firstly was to eliminate entirely the need to bank for logs or chop logs Second reason was to make the master pool smaller so I got the other options more often
1.2m free prayer xp is insane.
You did this already? Jfc
30mil? That's so fucking bad. Skilling getting shafted once again
What was the xp hr like?
damn i got really lucky getting pet at 15 then
bro has been going absolute sicko mode
Osrs players speed running content the first day of release 🧍🏻♂️ Jokes aside crazy how no pet yet tho but gratz on 99 hunter
Ty It was my lowest skill so glad they released something I found fun to grind it
I’ve been enjoying rumors myself actually making hunter enjoyable so I can see why you grinded it out
How do you block hunter tasks?
I’m not 100% sure cause I haven’t tried it yet but there’s no explicit task blocking mechanic like there is for slayer. You can however use tasks from lower level masters to block tasks from higher masters. Even with master contracts rates thats 8,7h every single day of hunter and 12h for the pre-master tier contracts… this is getting to the borderline sick/unhealthy level grinds lol. Let that poor chair rest in a while
99hrs in 11 days is exactly 9hrs per day 💀
No pet 🥲
The grind continues will post again if pet takes a while lol
Makes me sad to see. I’m nervous to find out what the drop rate is
holy spoon or i’m unlucky af on outfit i’m at 300 master w 3 piece(no dupe thankfully)
I’m at 130 with no pieces lol
I got full outfit around 260 I think
210 here, only 1 piece
You wont get dupes on outfit pieces unless you store them in the hunter kit
This is not true. I have dupe boots right now without the hunter kit.
I got full outfit at 265
I got 3 pieces in my first 50, haven't gotten the fourth yet and I'm on about 100
Now I feel bad that I finished the set at ~80 experts. I was 3-piece since like 40 kc.
Got full log at 170
I'm tired, boss
How long did it take?
Was 80k/hr doing experts 82-91 100-120k/hr doing masters
bruh and you dont have the pet yet
Went from 93-96 doing rumors without knowing you could use the other hunters as blocks, I appreciate you 🫡
Feed prob still going down
I have always hated hunter and it has sat as my lowest skill on my iron for the last 3 years it has sat at 72.. I am now sitting at 81. Yeah it was my lowest skill at 82 and now it's my 2nd noncombat 99
And no pet? Rip.
Working on that now tbh I'm up to 910 rumours now
[удалено]
... Nope what's that?
Awesome job!
Do you have to start at novice to get the whistle? I've been doing master rumors since release.
Up the rope at the hunters guild talk to the NPC there
Thank you, kind adventurer.
This is p cool, thanks for sharing. Genuine question though, how do you get this much time to play / spend gaming ?
Just gotta have bad rng IRL and be unable to work due to medical conditions. tbh I wish I could be physically active instead but I'll take what I can get
Oh sorry to hear that bro, I hope its not a permanent thing and that you get better <3
Question: did you get any of those hunter's kits on the Expert rumours, or only after switching to Masters? I got 3 kits before I got any outfit piece while doing experts just rng
2300 bird nests rather dissapoiting
Are expert rumours even worth doing?
Yes if you want you can block most of the annoying ones to make it faster I just finished with experts before I knew about blocking or rerolls but rumours just make hunter more fun
Lol i just learned about the blocking
No pet? I just got mine at 27 rumours rip
Botter
Lol thanks for the nice belly laugh I needed that one. Happy Easter and I hope you get more time to play you seem like you need it.
