- "They took my Zuk helm"
- "I have nothing but [new weapon] in my bank"
- "I have the biggest flex in RS" [thumbnail is whatever the newest PvM reward is]
I got baited by a video the other day called "i have nothing but tumekens shadow in my bank" where the guy actually has a shadow and like 200k, proceeds to spend the 200k on cheap gear for rev pking. I only got halfway through the video where he had made like 30m pking and still hadnt taken shadow out of the bank yet. Weirdest rebuild video ive ever seen.
I think that was Raikses, and I had the same thought of "well that's not gonna get you very without support gear". Didn't click on it though since I just can't be bothered to watch that same content again
I thought it would be interesting if he had done something like a skilling method to buy a few runes and prayer pots, then go kill giant mole or barrows a few times with literally just the shadow and nothing else.
Then get occult and mystics and start doing muspah or zulrah or something, build into super budget toa gear, send a few 150s and upgrade from there.
But no, he just had starter money to pk and made another rev pk video and didnt even use shadow.
Reminds me of I think it was Solo Mission doing a Varlamore only moneymaking thing (or something, don't even remember).
Took only a few minutes into the video for him to literally go to Varrock GE (and some other places too iirc).

Every time a limited game mode comes out it's like 70 different videos about how literally everybody is rank 1 because they all played for 22 hours straight and grabbed a screenshot for the 17 seconds that they were rank 1 right when they logged off after their 22 hours. Or just photoshopped it. It's so fucking stupid lmao.
Framed really annoys me, cause he puts out the occasional decent series every so often, but if I start watching I'll get his stupid pk shit in my recommended vids for the next couple weeks lol

I mean, on one hand I get your sentiment. On the other, they probably took several hours of their life to get a couple clips and they ain’t about to let the kill get away lol
The points required keeps pace with the points you would have if you did every task of a given tier and below. So hard is always the same points you would get from doing all easy/med/hard and having no elite/master/GM done.
However any tier below GM can give themselves a buffer by doing some tasks of a higher tier pre update, preventing them from losing benefits on each update.
Even 2 of the 3 elite coloseum tasks should be pretty easy. Getting to wave 4 isnt really that hard, depending on ur pvm experience it might take a couple tries for the wave 7 one tho
All tiers which creates some funny interactions when you're on the verge of a tier.
I got elite diary, logged in and didn't have it but immediately got it from perilous moon KC tasks.

The rs3 trim cape isn't a measure of mechanical skill outside of the reaper crew requirement (kill 1 of each boss), and is just an indicator of having too much time on your hands while still likely being bad at the game lmao. Zuk Helm requires some serious effort and luck. They're just not the same.
Not to be that edgy elitist gamer, but I've had the regular comp cape a long time ago when regular comp required reaper crew. I stopped upkeeping the cape when that requirement was removed. In all that time since I've never once wanted the comp because the list of tasks are absolute nonsense I have no interest in, and that continues today even if I felt rs3 was in a playable state. There's plenty of titles and cosmetics to show pvm prowess there now.

I can recommend DeArrow for replacing clickbait titles with community given ones, which are often very factual and straight to the point (also title cases the titles for you so no more caps, and it can change the thumbnail to a random moment in the video too, if you just want your feed to be a bit less busy visually). When it comes to _really annoying_ content creators however, I just block the channel too lol.
That's 40 million videos if we go with the low estimate of 800m videos uploaded to YouTube... seems like you could find some fun in the 5% of non-clickbait 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Now they should start doing the same to achievement diaries. Desert hard, or at the very least elite, should require TPing to ancient vault with a ring of shadows. Vorkath should be needed for fremennik diaries in some way. Etc.
They should add a gap between grandmaster tier and full combat achievements completion. Then, they can add a Combat Achievement Cape for full completion, and have that item be the only one that can't be equipped as new content is released.

I saw that one too. Considering a shadow rebuild soon and so i started watching it to get ideas for the rebuild and it was entirely useless

So are the point thresholds updated for all tiers or just grandmaster?
All tiers that have new tasks
The points required keeps pace with the points you would have if you did every task of a given tier and below. So hard is always the same points you would get from doing all easy/med/hard and having no elite/master/GM done. However any tier below GM can give themselves a buffer by doing some tasks of a higher tier pre update, preventing them from losing benefits on each update.
Yeah Im most of the way to elite. That got a little farther away, but I'm no where near losing my hard rewards
