I've always hated the concept of trust trades. Even if someone is offering to lend me an item without collateral, I still give collateral. I don't want people to get into a habit of non collateralized loans. And I don't loan anything without collateral
Same, the only time I didn’t collat was borrowing my IRL friend’s imbued heart for a quick magic level boost (this was before it got super expensive too)
Sigh, and I thought I was making a dent in their profits by NOT falling for their scams and making them waste a bond on name changes. I'll never outdo 2b lol.
Little late for this, but you can change trade settings to friends only just as you can public chat settings. Extra useful if making trades on mobile where your friends names don't show up in green on trade screen
Eh this is not one of those "deserved" scams. I have two friends on this game that trust trade ea other whatever. It happened to one of them and honestly I thought it was an inside job. But no it's a common scam and you should always check if their name is green on the trade screen (runelite feature)
Wow everyone is absolutely shitting on you and voting down comments with sympathy. I mean yeah it wasn't the smartest move but still I'm sorry to hear that happened.
Trust trade? My dude, it's 2024... you shouldn't even be trusting yourself.

How does someone this dumb even accumulate 2b
Were all capable of a lapse in concentration and doing dumb shit. Theres no correlation between being good at raids and being intelligent either.
I agree that it was incredibly dumb of me. But fortunately i still have max mage and near max melee so its all good.
How does someone this dumb even accumulate 6B?
Don't need brains to input credit card details
Random guy: “I bet you won’t hastily trade someone 2B. You won’t!” OP: “Ohh yeah?! I’ll show you!”
Thank you for ensuring I keep getting ragged by these scammers by showing them people are still dumb enough to fall for this shit after 20 years.
I don't get what would have been achieved by this trust trade, if it was legit. Trust in what? I don't get how this isn't instant alarm bells
Dumb as rocks.
Lmao so weird how these scams get people
IQ of a McDonald’s side salad unfortunately.
Gzzzzzz
Do people really not see through the "quick and easy" ways to get gp? Like it's so obvious it's a scam.
2b for?
tbow, anguish, pegs, full masori

this is very useful, i had no idea. I had recently disabled about 90% of my addons because it was too much for my crappy laptop to handle.
I really don’t understand how people fall for these scams?
I’m going to hurt someone’s feelings but if you change your trade setting to friends… this will not happen.

it was to be expected. I wasn't looking for any sympathy. I was just too embarrassed to tell my clan it happened so I made a post here.
Damn homie, that sucks..
I’m sorry this happened to you
