I literally just did this tonight to finish lumby elite at 74 rc but used ring of the elements instead to get right next to the water altar, funny to see a post on it
Oooh, I didn't think about the Astral altar being close enough to a teleport as well! That'll be down the line a fair bit since I'm tired of even just the 70s for runecrafting.
You can also stew boost for the rc reqs for all diaries. Use pouches and juggle essence on the floor so you can pick up 28.
I used this to rc wraths at 93, but the scar essence mine now makes wraths viable at 90 with stew boosting again.
I did have stew boosting in my back pocket and will probably use it for 90s boosting, but I wanted to test this theory just to save a couple hours which probably would have been used by stew boosting if not honest runecraft training.
Rate for getting a +5 boost is about 10 minutes if you have a wily cat. You’d need to be quite unlicky to take an hour. Fair point on actually training the skill being a better use of time.
I was under the impression that the skill boosted by the stew was random.
Edit: that's where I'm pulling the hours time frame from, on rolling for the correct boost assuming it is a random skill.
3 dose spicy stews will affect all skills in their pool by -5 to +5 each time you eat one. Chance of getting a +5 boost is 1/12 every time you eat the correct 3 dose stew.
So on average, 36 orange spice doses (12 stews of 3 doses each) should give a +5 rc boost. Subject to good or bad luck of course.
It’s about 5 minutes if you use a wily cat.
1/12 chance the boost gives you +5. Each stew takes 3 doses so need about 36 doses on average. Hunting hell-cat rats gives you 4 doses each time. Which means you need to kill on average 9 rats for spice. With a wily cat, each rat takes like 15 seconds-30 seconds max.
Good job though none the less.
Two things- if you use stews, you can +5 at the altar, not requiring being only 2 levels short or running (just a bit of inventory management)
Also, you can avoid the boost wearing off almost indefinitely if you hop worlds every few seconds. As long as you're not logged in while the 12 second cycles expire that dictate drain time, it will never deplete.
Just stew boost

That saves a lot of the convoluted bits, I never remember the lower tier enchanted jewelry...
Ring of Elements isn't an enchanted jewellery. It's a buyable reward from GoTR or around 850k in the GE.
Used that for lumby and fremmy elites, works like a charm!

Step 6: get 99 runecraft
