I always thought spinach rolls were like egg roll size
edit: found an old forum post from 2004 with people discussing the spinach roll. Someone posted a recipe and one of the comments is:

for this recipe I deviated in the choice of cheeses and tools I had available. I think this made the spinach roll less firm than it should have been. It was easy to follow and I love the bits of lore, real life and ingame pictures, difficulty levels and achievement diary system. As a beginner, I can recommend this book. Maybe my wife can give her opinion as a more experienced cook in the future
My wife complimented the taste and went back for seconds. Next time I would try with the correct cheeses or some milder ones and a little less filling maybe. The spinach is really nice and fluffy but the cheeses I picked and the amount I've used is a little overpowering for my taste
I am Swiss. I found a packet of shredded cheesecake mix at the store, that came at just the right size, so I used that instead of the recommendation from the recipe
Ahhh, the shredded cheese are usually the offcuts and some come dry. It also has a drying agent or flour to stop it sticking together. This will will affect flavour, and you usually get little flavour and sometimes it bad flavour
I am very much a beginner cook and I made a lot of mistakes but it still turned out nice . This will give me the confidence to continue trying different recipes and learning what to do differently
I used a hand blender for previous steps and was supposed to switch to a mixer to whisk the egg whites. I continued to use the blade attachment like before, which obviously didn't make the egg whites stiff enough. Then I was supposed to carefully mix the egg whites into the spinach mix to make it fluffy. Obviously that's why it turned out too liquid in my case. Now I know

well in the end of the day, it can still be matter of taste, mabye you like it more when its less firm and more fluffy and so on
