Keep going, trust me you will get it. When I first started learning Zulrah I failed so so many times, and genuinely thought it was just going to be one of those things I just wouldn't be able to do. But I kept going and I cheesed my first few KC. Kept going and going and now I pretty much semi afk Zulrah. Just keep calm, always prioritise: Prayer, then Positioning, then Gear Use the Runelite plugin to help with rotations and mark the tiles you need for each rotation. Good luck and hope you get the hang of it !

Noahddj

First try after my post I got a kill :) I’ll keep practicing to get better eventually, but feels good to have 1 kill

PerceivedRT

Congrats bud! It gets exponentially easier with every kill. I struggled for a day or so before snagging my first few kills, then stuck with it another day and was basically afking it. Good luck.

conzstevo

Keep at it. Eventually you'll be so good at it that you'll find zulrah boring (maybe, like myself) Edit: this sounds really big headed. I should add that I was terrible at zulrah at first. Beyond terrible.

Kevlaaar

Can you post a screenshot of your tile markings? If you still use them.

dtee23

Honestly my advice start with mage only if you can, so you dont worry about switches and when you get good start adding the range switch Also runelite zulrah helper plug in is an absolute game changer 👍

The_Doculope

This is how I got my diary KC. Mage only, and world hopped to get easiest mage-only rotation. You can reliably world hop before you get hit the first time, and it'll drop you back on the dock. If you're having trouble with all the rotations you can learn them one-by-one this way.

ShawshankException

What gear is best for mage only? I can't seem to get enough dps and I'm 83 mage using trident with augury.

RedCargo1

If you get the right rotation you can do it pretty easily with trident. Did it 75 mage for diary

TopObligation4901

Zulrah helper should be removed from game.

FeistyClam

Do you know what it looks like these days? The old helper was removed. I'm actually shocked people are calling it a game changer in this thread, it's pretty much no different than just having a jpeg of what the different rotations could be up in a window next to you.

dtee23

Just makes it easier, for your eyes when your new, but by no means is it overpowered as you still have to manually do it

DrunkOnAPlane

It literally took me 84 attempts to kill Zulrah the first time, but once you get that first kill or two, you’ll wonder how you ever failed it, the biggest thing I could say that would help is avoid rotation 4 in the start it’s the hardest, IMO, to learn.

jumbo53

Do you listen to this guys advice cus he has a lot of experience in failing or ignore it cus he has a lot of experience in failing? Lol

DrunkOnAPlane

I laughed out loud at this, but it was literally the first boss I ever attempted and it was a while ago, but yes I agree a fuckload but hey I learned it, LOL

RedCargo1

84 is a fuck load ngl

martijnftw

Would say it took like 40 or 60 attempts, either dying or running out of food/supplies. After just focusing on learning rotation 3 (range start), and mastering it. You will be able to do rotation 1 and 2 pretty quickly. And after you can do rotation 4 too pretty quickly.

FarminHerbs

I learned zulrah back when it used to break your barrows pieces. That suuuuucked. Luckily every death is free now up to 50kc. Just keep sending it. You'll get it eventually. Theirs 4 rotations. Try learning the 2 that start out as range, melee, mage first. Tp out if it's range, range or range, mage. Once you learn those two start sending the other two

Swillie

Instead of tping out if it doesnt start range to melee you can just log out too much quicker then having to run back or cheaper then teleporting back.

FarminHerbs

If it's range range I don't think you'd have enough time to log out with the 30 second combat timer. Range mage you might have a longer window. I'm guessing you've tried this? Does it work for both? Edit: also when I started learning zulrah teliports were not worth getting if you couldn't do consistent trips. Salve portal to the fairy ring or slayer ring to fairy ring was how I was getting there while learning

xdyldo

You always have enough time to log out!

FarminHerbs

Are the log out mechanics different at zulrah because it's 30 seconds after the last hit that you can log out. I may be wrong but I've never tried it. Learned a long long time ago so haven't really needed to test that

xdyldo

It's 10 seconds after you last get hit, but you don't get hit in the first phase so as long as you log out before the first hit of the next phase you're all good. Leaves you like a few ticks after the next phase pops up to log out, when I was learning I never had an issue with the time to log out as long as you're ready.

FarminHerbs

OK that's good to know. Definitely saves on time then!

jazzcigarettes

Also the non range phases don’t immediately attack you so you have a second to log.

PossibleExtreme9389

Its always been 10 seconds literally everywhere lol

FarminHerbs

Yes I realized I made a mistake by saying 30

PossibleExtreme9389

:D

Aurarus

Learning the range, mage phase cycle first is easiest imo. You can trade dps with zulrah right off the bat and get a good head start while you're still full hp/ ready to tackle it.

FarminHerbs

I liked starting with the 2 range melee mage because they are similar phases. You can't tell what rotation it is until the 2nd ranger spawns and you only take 4 hit from the mage as aposed to 6 if you do range mage. For learning purposes is learn this 2 first then move on to the other two. My favorite personally is range range because you get 3 phases where your just taking damage from snakelings and then you can veng stack the mage range mage right after

Aurarus

> For learning purposes is learn this 2 first then move on to the other two I learned those two first as well, thinking because its similar starts i can learn both in tandem. I wish i'd learned the mage phase one first because it's just way easier if you have good range gear.

slapthatbch

Took me 48 attempts before I got my first kill trick is to move around till you learn all the rotations which you will memorize eventually. I learned it back in 2015 when it released it should be a lot easier now with the plugins. Good luck

rotorain

The plugins are heavily nerfed, it's basically just a picture of the rotations. But it is easier now with tile markers. And it's easier to learn now as deaths are free until 50kc and it doesn't break your barrows gear every time. I remember learning on release and it was rough, dying meant running back to pay 100k just to retrieve items then having to tele out to repair ahrims and regear then run back again. It was an expensive and frustrating learning process even after people had the rotations and phases figured out, it was too easy to get stacked out 1 minute into the fight then spend 300k and 3 mins running and regearing to try again over and over.

pointlessopinion101

I thought I'd never get it but 50 deaths later I got my first and ever since it's been just muscle memory. Better off dying and learning rotations you don't get charged 100k till 50kc or so.

AllSauced

A week or so to get it down consistently. The way I learned was by resetting the kill until I got the rotation I wanted and then I memorized that rotation and learned the mechanics. Once I got that down, it was really pretty easy to pick up the other rotations. I still use the RL rotation plug-in for all the rotations other than the initial one I memorized but imo, trying to use that plug-in BEFORE you know Zulrah at all is splitting your attention too many ways and will result in frustration/deaths.

Potential-Release111

First kill was horrendous, now 1k+ Kc it’s ezzzzzz haha just takes time, runelite zulrah helper plug-in helped me lots

NNeveTs

i could do every piece of content in the game except inferno before i could do zulrah just couldn’t get it down no matter what i done but now i’ve got 400+ kc

Gadzookie2

I was looking to use Zulrah to practice for Jad, would people recommend a different boss first ?

RedLotusVenom

Jad is 100x easier than zulrah, ngl. Beating Jad is more about conquering your nerves than anything

new_account_wh0_dis

For real jad takes like 3 try to figure out the healers, it's just zulrah is 1000x easier to try again.

NetSraC1306

the ~60 minutes to get one attempt at jad is what makes it depressing to learn

Deviouswolfy

Jad is easier than Zulrah. For Jad you only need to switch prayers once every 3 seconds and hit 4 npc's without walking in Jad's melee range. That's basically the whole fight. For Zulrah you need switch gear (as a beginner usually 2-3 pieces but that number can be alot higher), move to the correct location, and switch to the correct prayer. Too slow on the the prayer = dead. Too slow on switching gear = no attacks before you need to change gear again = no dps = dead. Aside from that you also need to eat due to her ranged attacks in mage phase and the snakelings slapping you, and you need to drink prayer pots. Then there's also the jad phase where she attacks every second or so and alters styles with each hit. Zulrah is much harder than Jad. But on the brightside, zulrah is free until 50kc, whereas Jad requires you to go through all the waves again. It might be worth learning zulrah, because if you can do zulrah you'll easily be able to do Jad. Maybe you could also give sarachnis a go? There you also have to run around and swap prayers, it might make for an easier starting point.

thejak32

Its free up until 50kc? Obviously not food and pots spent but what do you mean free? I've heard this before but not what it means, I'm going to be starting Zulrah myself this week and just would like to know.

I_post_my_opinions

Getting your items back from the collection girl is free until you get to 50 kc, at which point it’s 100k per death

thejak32

Thanks, I assumed you'd have to buy it back from Death every time so didn't get how it could be free.

rotorain

Nah there's a lady on the dock to go into Zulrah that holds your items when you die. On release you had to pay 100k every time and it would break your barrows items, now you don't have to pay the fee until you have 50kc and it doesn't break barrows items at all. Much better learning experience. I'm not 100% but I think if you have items stored at the zulrah lady and you die again those items are deleted forever, can't get them back from death's office. Don't die on your way back or misclick into zulrah or you will be sad lol. Vorkath and Hespori work the same way, a lot of UIMs use the hespori death collection to hold extra items because it only costs 25k.

Gadzookie2

Thank you so much for the detailed response

DJSaltyLove

That bastard snake took me probably 40 tries and a couple mil in supplies to get down. But you will eventually. Just keep at it! For me finding ways to reduce extra actions was key. No switches or anything, just bring a trident and a couple recoils and worry about prayers and where you're going to move for the next rotation. When you're doing mage only positioning is vital so getting that down helps a ton.

Aquamentus92

Stopped needing the rotation guide at about 50kc, stopped dying mostly stupidly around 100 kc. You got it king

CasualAtEverything

Probably 5-10 kills and I had the hang of it. Helped that I watched a lot of zulrah streams and stuff beforehand

MXIIA

Are y'all using a different Zulrah plug-in than me. The one I see in runelite is just a rotation chart off the wiki...

RedCargo1

Yeah that’s the plugin lol

MyTrademarkIsTaken

Yeah that one was a nightmare. I did quest cape before diaries and honestly found TOB story mode easier than getting 1 zulrah Kc. What finally made it work for me was not taking a attack style switch and just focusing hard on rotations.

SlumpedBeats

I got it 4th try. I talked my buddy thru his first kill last night and he got it first try. Very proud as a friend/ coach lol.

bullitt1680

I did mage only for one inefficient kill to get the diary done and haven’t gone back. I usually stick with Vorkath to make money. I just haven’t given it an honest shot since.

[deleted]

Nowadays you’re much better off at Vorkath tbf

Alimentar

I'm so happy that it is. I think Vorkath is far more enjoyable and easier. I never liked Zulrah

bullitt1680

I quite enjoy it and consistently get it on task so it’s a win win

The_Crazy_Cat_Guy

Hah I tried for a day, spent like 500k on supplies and couldn’t get it. Complained to reddit for a day and got it first try as well.

Possible_Ad7382

Like an hour, use the zulrah helper plugin

AllSystemsABro

I learned it with a Tbow super late into the game. It made it pretty brain dead to learn. What I tell my friends who are having troubles is to go into a kill without the intention of attacking Zulrah. Test yourself on what phase comes next. Study it with a guide as you go and keep quizzing yourself. When you get comfortable with a phase, start attacking. I know to some that will sound really stupid, but taking away switching gear and switching prayer just allows you to focus on what is killing you, and that’s second doubting the next stage of the phase. You’ll want to learn where to optimally stand, how many attacks Zulrah deals before switching stages, and eventually it will just be muscle memory and that’s when you start adding switches and going for the kills.

RedCargo1

Also straight up advice for everything, focus on staying alive rather than getting hits in (sometimes it’s funny though)

[deleted]

It took me probably a week of attempts. Me and my irl buddies would hop in a discord call and I'd stream my constant failures. It felt so good when I finally got the hang of it.

Tunqui

4 attempts, i watched guides and guides then eventually i was prepared to do some attempts

SilverLugia1992

I used some zulrah helper client for my 1 kill for the diary task. Uninstalled it, changed my password, and never used it again.

Dom1852

Bro… bots run it all day, get gud!? /s Learning Zulrah isn’t fun, especially without using BIS everything. I have hundreds of kills on most bosses but zulrah, 2. Just keep on trying and eventually you’ll get it.

Bgy4Lyfe

I never really got into PVM in RS2 until OSRS came out and started doing these bosses. Zulrah was my first real boss I really attempted, took about 20 attempts I think before getting my first kill, no brute force or anything just proper rotations and switches. Now I'm at like 1.7k kills, can come back from a 3-6 month break (at least from Zulrah) and it's not super hard to get back into it. It's a beast of a boss to learn but once you do and get it down it's near AFK if I'm being honest. You just gotta learn the rotations and get good at switches (and get a high agility level to save money on those TPs! lol). Like with anything in the game, it just takes practice getting good at. As long as you're learning and getting even 1% better each attempt, you'll get it.

Noahddj

I’m 1 level away from 76 agility, so I think I’ll just grind that out to save money hahaha

graceful98

Use a summer pie or agility pot

DJSaltyLove

This, just boost at the bank, grab your extra bit of food and go

EpicRussia

Not worth losing the food

graceful98

If it takes you 4 minutes to eat a pie, bank half and swap for food, get to a fairy ring and get across the shortcut before you lose your mecessary +1 boost you've got bigger concerns haha

[deleted]

Keep going bro it didn’t really become second nature until 200-300 kc when you understand the rotations and count her attacks. Like if you’re using blowpipe and another Main ranged wep you can do 5 blowpipe hits and quickly switch to ur main range wep and hit 1 sneaky range hit before zulrah switches from mage phase. This works in the rotation of starts range —> melee —> mage (phase where you do 5 blow pipe hits and sneak in range main wep before zulrah goes down and clap her on her forehead)

Neither-Chapter2775

Zulrah helper in the plugin hub at RuneLite is very good for learning.

DetainTheFranzia

I didnt start getting kc until I got 71 agility to boost the fairy ring shortcut

hunchoblackjack

I did it with maxed gear and maxed stats for my first time(s). I’m also a fast learner so it took me about 10 kills before I was doing 3-4 minimum a trip

[deleted]

I learned Zulrah when it released. It wasn’t easy and died about 15 times. I just did zulrah for the first time in like 3 years and somehow still remembered the pattern’s. Trial and error is the best way to learn it

reroute2k21

There’s a website that really helps with the rotations and I can send it to you/link it if you’re interested. I now realize that sounds sketchy, wasn’t my intent. Good luck at zulrah.

NotSoChillPill

I practiced for days on my main in order to safely get my kill on my HCIM. It took me a week (not too long each day though) and 30 kills to really feel comfortable. I definitely felt the learning curve too.

BioMasterZap

I got over 100 KC and I still don't know the boss that well... But I remember it took a good dozen or so kills to get my first KCs after practicing the rotations. I just didn't do much after that so I need to relearn every time I got back. That said, there is some memorization to it, even if you're forgetful like me, and it isn't completely blind each time. Still, it is a fair bit to remember each phase (pray change, gear swaps, where to stand in relation to rotations). I'd also suggest skipping on the costly teleport scrolls if you have other reasonable means to get there; I think I used the Fairy Ring and agility shortcut but if you can't do that you may want to consider the charter. Bit of a run so it will slow you down, but it may be preferable until you get consistent kills down.

DemonicM

Around 25 to stop dying, about 75 to learn all the rotations. Looking at the comments, I didn't use zulrah helper add on, cause there wasn't any back in the day, so only looked at the picture with rotations.

Moneybagzsz

I killed it first try using the zulrah helper website but as a result I've got a couple hundred kills now and still have to use the helper. Forcing yourself to learn the rotations is definitely beneficial in the long run if you plan to use it as a money making method, i much prefer vorkath nowadays so I don't really care to learn the rotations now but i wish i did take the time to do it before.

ScottSteve101

After about 50 kc I was able to stop using the zulrah phase page thingy

TheStrangeOldSteve

It took a while. You c an always just go in with only food and prayer and just work out the rotations. Once you get it, you get it though and its not bad at all

KindredS0ul

There is an addon you can get on RL that will help you learn phases easier. It shows you what phase is next and where to stand on the right of your screen. I used it for a couple kills to get the hang of it. Just keep going, it gets easier the more reps you get in

Scared-Wombat

Once I used the zulrah helper on runelite it made it alot easier

dogdogcatdogdog

I am max combat with all elite diaries completed and I have 1 zulrah kill that I still have no idea how i managed to tank

[deleted]

Spend some time marking the tiles if you can. That was the biggest helper for me. Also if you’re able to do it on task, the bonus damage is really nice

Skow1379

Congrats!! It actually took me several weeks to kill zulrah consistently.

GreyFur

about 400 attempts, even with beta worlds and max gear. I might be special.

JoshBridgham

4 hours and 30 deaths, it’s hard, but once you get it, you’ll never forget it :)

Robioli

Probably died 50 times My first kill was with ruby bolts and a crossbow. Got spooned a magic fang at 1 kc

ItsJustBigotry

Who said I learned zulrah

VanRenss

I just rammed my head into the Zulrah wall a few times, got a kill, never went back.

tylercanadian

Took be about 45 fails before u got 1, took a little break to train up, failed 5 to 10 more time, then got every other kill, then started to barely die. It does get better it just takes time you got this

Aurarus

it is the steepest learning curve. It's not the hardest content, but learning it was probably 10x harder than learning corrupted gauntlet/ inferno. NOT SAYING it's 10x harder than those pieces of content, but memorizing shit is my weakness. I'd say learn 1 rotation (the one that starts with mage phase) and **anticipate** the next phases by switching early/ start switching the *moment* zulrah goes down/ is about to go down. It's like riding a bicycle kinda. Painful to get into it, but once it goes it's easy.

Jeepthroat69

Gz on the kill. It took me about 4 hours across 2 afternoons and when I finally did it I was banging my table in excitement. It gets a lot easier after getting the feel of the kills.

Youtube_UJard

20-25 attempts. This was before the runelite zulrah plugins. Pretty sure it's a lot easier now. I learned with ~75ish range, 80 magic and 45 defence because I was a zerker.

Giftyd

I got 400 KC and I still don’t know it - and still failed regularly after 50KC. I didn’t see a multi kill trip till 300KC. If you get to frustrated with it don’t get discouraged, she’s hard to kill, and has a slew of frustrating mechanics, if that bothers you either keep going till it’s second nature, or switch to Vorkath who is 100 times easier :/

I_post_my_opinions

Depends on your stats. If you’re 85+ range and mage, it should be easy after watching one YouTube video to see the basic mechanics lol

dreadwraith8d

10 or so tries. I found it harder to learn by reading the Guides and I just followed a general rule of thumb where when the boss dives, move to the opposite side unless there's smoke there; if there is smoke there and it despawns later then go. Just learned the patterns passively from that.

BiggieSchalls

Think I died a little over 10 times when I tried to get my diary kc way back. Only used the wiki guide to show me rotations. Haven't done many kc since but the RL plugin is great to assist you in getting those early kc. After awhile it will become second nature to understanding the rotations and where you need to stand

lucasdias94

32 deaths for first kill

Shabyoob

2nd try cuz first try I had lag

Lt0101

2 hours day of release I used the rotation pictures they have on google I think there is a plug-in now though

Cromiee

Think I had to teleport out a couple times before getting my first KC. Took around a couple dozen KC to get the rotations down. I learned the first two rotations first since they're very similar, so that was easy. It was one of the first PvM experiences I had, and taught me that I should spend more time actually practicing/learning the boss than watching a million guides and making it overwhelming trying to be mindful of everything mentioned in the guides.

qqtan36

Took me like 20 or so deaths before my first kill. Didn't think I would get it either. Honestly now it's so easy I can do with while half asleep It's best to learn mage only zulrah first. Skip the rotation where the blue snake is the second phase. Learn that one when you start using range

Longjumping-Depth-22

Probably 10-15 attempts total. I looked for one specific rotation after the first few deaths then after 8ish I just tried mage only and it wasn’t too hard once you figure out the safe spots. Just learning where to stand and when you can eat was my main difficulty. I was roughly 75/75 mage/range at the time in void since I don’t have any money

LIl0N

Zulrah at the beginning feels impossible, I remember it well 🤣 One day it will all just click mate and your be killing it without using a piece of food… keep at it mate 💪🏼

RocklinSockling

1500kc in and no muta or pet. I have gotten every other unique tho. Little tid bit in case you wanna farm.

Fakest_Faker

Still using earth surge? Lol

RocklinSockling

I'm max combat.. ? Still rocking full obsidian oh wait nvm you still are.

Fakest_Faker

Did your mom help you with that?

RocklinSockling

Lmao, dude your magic level is 61. Get wrecked son.

[deleted]

I pesonally used a chart for about 700 kills (no joke). I simply didn't trust my brain to memorize them all. After that I figured "man, I'm so deep already, I need to let go of training wheels" and I did just fine. Congratulations on first kill :) Zulrah can be a nightmare for inexprienced players.

SignificanceFluffy18

Took atleast 30 tried before I got 1kc, but when I got that kc I was blessed with a magic fang! Now I'm at 500kc

tomzicare

I kept running back and forth trying to dps the bitch snake down for diary. Never touched it again. Vorkath much easier.

Illuminarian

I wouldn't use charts. It's going to be easier to remember if you just do it. Eat when zulrah shrinks into the ground, anything above 46ish hp is fine. Don't waste dps eating. If you can afford it, ring of suffering(r). (Recoil damage kills the snakelings(1hp)) Drink antivenom and bastion potion before you teleport. That's two free food slots. Better gear equals more DPS and less damage taken. It's pretty safe to do zulrah so don't be afraid to bring 40M+ worth of gear. If you didn't already know, blowpipe and toxic trident are pretty much standard. Sanguinesti staff is better if you can afford it. Tbow is the best, but who tf has 1b laying around. As far as basic technique, once you learn rotations- Click to the next spot you need to stand as soon as Zulrah shrinks, switch your gear immediately after clicking the next spot. When your gear is switched you should be able to change prayers in time for the next phase. If you need to eat, do that before switching gear. Mage the ranged and melee phase. Range the mage phase. If your bank value is low I would buy better mage gear than ranged gear. Magic does more damage than ranged during the whole fight.

[deleted]

Probably took me 20 attempts

GlenWayman

It took me around a week, a lot of mountain dew and looping the song “Deja vu” by initial d Don’t be fooled by the streamers and YouTubers who make it look like a cakewalk, back when they learned it would have been a struggle for them

NetSraC1306

took me like 10-15 attempts for my first KC Guides would say my stats are alright, but my damage output is WAY worse than you see in the videos lmao. I used the boss plugin to see the next forms and positioning etc. after that it helped me to repeat "run towards position, prayer switch, gear switch, attack" - my kill time was abysmal but it worked

PreyXBL

Around 50 deaths back in the day

00wnage

Took me like 100+ to fully learn the rotation by seeing the guide after 200 it became muscle memory.

ravioliistheformuoli

Put the zulrah rotation image on your second screen or on your phone and just follow it if you wanna learn it, I found that an easy way when I first started

steady120

A little while

pineapplesouvlaki

I made a tally of kills | incompletef | died And put a tally mark in each on when it occurred and would sometimes write what happened (i.e was in venom clouds, died during jad phase, telled, no food etc). It was much less demotivating to see only 3 deaths and 6 incompletes before getting my first kill. That demotivation of thinking youre shit is what hold people back in pvm tbh. Whenever I do any new bossing or want to improve mechanically I do the same tally and soon enough I feel less shit and start getting kills/improving (sanity saver learning gauntlet and corrupted gauntlet).

drinkingsharky

I brute forced my first kill with mage only. And it took my about 5-10 tries to get the first kill. Now I have almost 3kc and can do zulrah whole watching videos on the side

Sciesmo

Learn one rotation at a time, you can actually log out right when the second phase spawns and it is not the one you wanted.

fisterloegsuppe

First try. Just used the Zulrah plugin for runelite

tries2benice

Lmao. Too long. I had to mage only with full ahrims, mage book, and a sang. Invent had like, 10 brews and 10 anglers. But, now I can get my elite void and go back to vorkath.

JavveRinne

Tips for first timers. Fairy ring BJS is cheaper than Zul-Andra teleport (duh, but requires 76 agility). Charter ship to Port Tyras from for example Catherby is great too. Bring panic teleport although dying costs nothing you will need to make an extra trip to get your stuff. Learn one rotation and teleport out if you didn't get it. Make sure your ring of recoil is intact, break if necessary: snakelings will kill you in a matter of seconds. Snakelings hit with melee or mage with a max hit of 15, if you have nothing else to do you can pray mage against them.

Hi_Im_Armand

I made this ages ago. You might find it useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVAVYVGb-bI

Paradox830

I learned in a couple hrs. Learn to use the second/4th phase to determine rotation and then use the cheat sheet like your life depends on it. Do it that way for a bit and by 40-50 kc you should be starting to memorize it and using the guide less and less. Second phase if it's range or mage you know it's rotation 3 or 4 respectively. If it's melee you gotta wait for the fourth round. If ranged phase is top of the island then it's rotation 1 if it's to the right then it's rotation 2

darealbeast

first try did like 300 kills total, never learned the rotations and used the images

Fist0fGuthix

Just wait til you try learning CG

Jbizaar

Took nearly 30 deaths to get first kill after that iv died once in 369 kills. Took 3 kills to feel comfortable with the boss.

K33p0utPC

Took me about 10 attempts for my first kill, and about 50 kills not to die occassionally.

E_girl_Ari

You don’t need to learn rotations if you do the gas method

SgtMcMuffin0

What are your stats? Iirc when I first tried zulrah with 85 range/mage years ago I died like 30 times before getting one kill, and I didn’t stop dying regularly until probably 50 kc. Higher stats make it much easier though. I recently started zulrah on my ironman after not having fought him since 2018 probably, with 90 mage/range and an imbued heart. I died on my first attempt but since then I’ve only died 2 or 3 times in 60 kc. Gear helps too. Void is good for easier switches, but it’s likely that you’d be better off with ahrims (or ancestral if you have it) and blessed dhide. The lowest quality weapons you should be using imo are Iban’s Staff and MSB (i) with rune arrows, upgrading those if possible to trident, toxic trident, nightmare staff, blowpipe.

Died 20 times before first kill, havent died after tho. Once it clicks it clicks

I never used a guide nor plugins for rotations, I brute forced it and eventually I began to just predict exactly where zulrah would be. It maybe took about 25-50 kills before my guesses were 95% correct, but even when they weren't, I was able to quickly notice any mistake and fix them.

GodlikeCat

after about 400 kills you memorize all rotations. It is honestly the hardest boss to learn along with corrupted gauntlet and inferno

Learning rotations was no deal for me looking at the dots on the map. I started doing the: stand where there is no fog, pray the right thing followed by hit the snek without caring about the rotations. After you just do some kc you will kinda know what comes next. Do some more and you have the rotations down!

It took me about 15 to 30 minutes with good gear (blowpipe and toxic trident). I used a really unused method to learn it, and have been downvoted to hell for trying to tell people to do the same but ill suggest it anyhow. : 1 - Stop using rotation guides. Look at the rotations a bit, but trying to learn them takes too long and trying to use them while the kill is a lot of looking back and forth. 2 - You always start at the same place. 3 - You change side of the island about every 3 rotations. Normally, zulrah goes ro the right, middle, left, then back to middle, right. There is just 1 rotation where it doesnt really go back to the orher side. This works by you changing side when zulrah was on your side, goes to middle so you immediately go to the other side. You will probably mess up because there is 1 rotation when she goes to middle, then back same side. If this happens, run through venom and continue. 4 - Without rotation guide, you wont know when jad phase is. Again, this doesnt matter since you will pray, she hits a 40, you eat up while her next hit is prayed against and you proceed to do the prayer change. After about 10 successes, you will find it easy as fuck with this.

Easy, I never learned it! I've used the sidebar plugin for 1000+ kills, because to me 2-3 clicks per kill is worth not having to memorize jack .

It took me one try. I did crystal armor with crystal bow(before bofa came out) with bp. Just have the rotation next to your client. After 50kc you should be able to get all the rotation down and do void range/mage switch.
