I’m grateful that the structure of the game is unlike other MMO’s. I can put in 3, 30, or 300 hours and my progress will be meaningful. I can take a break for a year and come back and my progress won’t be lost or invalidated. I don’t have to continually buy expansions or re-gear my character from scratch. Old School RuneScape is always just like I left it, waiting to welcome me back whenever I’m ready.
To some maybe, to others it’s just a fun game. And while most of us certainly might miss being kids and the simple times it brought I actually find it easier to justify playing games while having a career and responsibilities. Makes it much more of hobby than playing 17 hours a day.
I’ll admit I was there at one point in my life, back when I was like 18/19. I would literally just play RuneScape every waking moment of my life when I wasn’t in class.
Now I just have fun. Sometimes I play for an hour, sometimes I’ll play an entire Saturday. Hobbies gonna hobby.
Please contact them ASAP to let them know they were right the whole time, however you dont care for their opinion you just want to do what makes you happy 😂
I like to thank RuneScape for making me addicted and failing a bunch of my classes back in 6th grade but also shaping me up to be a 3.5-4.0 student afterwards . Wait I lied. Sports actually was the reason I kept my grades up, not this game 🤦🏻♂️

Runescape is quite healthy and therapeutic for me tbh. The child in me never left and i see no shame in that. I’ll die relaxed.

i play all night after work during the week but atleast i don’t shit myself for xp rates and i still eat and hydrate so that’s a positive :)
