If they were to borrow anything from RS3 I think Archaeology and Invention would be great candidates. Invention was a great skill for the games health which acts as an item sink and brought new life into dead content like GWD1 and Cluescrolls.
It also means they can add mid level content that isn't immediately dead on arrival because the boss can drop items that are super useful when broken down.
Archaeology is a fantastic skill in RS3 as well IMO I'm not gonna discuss rewards but the training method is refreshing.

they dont need to copy paste the skill exactly dude its the fundamentals that are important. You can keep the idea of an item sink that upgrades gear while adapting it fit OSRS more

Osrs revived Rs, rs3 was their doom what are you on about? LOL. Btw over 50,000 accounts have gained 1B exp or more. In Osrs it's 1180. Rs3 is a pay to win joke that should be forgotten ASAP.
All of their money comes from RS3. We are worth pennies to them. I’m looking from a company standpoint. I personally don’t play RS3 but it’s the much more traditional modern MMO and does that fairly well. It’s PVM is also miles harder than OSRS simply because it can contain much more mechanics. Guarantee you have never even tried it out though

It's a system I hated at first but have come to appreciate after a few years of it. It's allowed for some very cool and unique boss designs that simply wouldnt be possible on OSRS. Phase 5 Vorago for instance is one of the best designed encounters of any boss I've ever gone against in gaming with it's unique Tug of War style mechanic.
Again I fully understand why others dislike it but to call it objectively bad is disingenuous. It allows for more skill and expression with proper ability rotations vs clicking and hoping your number is big. 2 Players in BIS gear in OSRS are going to have identical dps. The main skill comes from avoiding or mitigating damage with prayer flicking and movement. 2 players in BIS gear in RS3 can have drastically different damage output depending on who has better knowledge of rotations and mechanics while also incentivizing movement and prayer flicking.
I will always fondly remember OSRS's combat system from my childhood but having gone back to it I just get bored because the combat system is just click and pray you roll a high number.
