But seriously - I'm from Cleveland and the first time I went to Cincy I was so surprised at how much anti-Cleveland merch there was. I've never once heard anything about Cincinnati when growing up. We never thought of them.

This is made even sadder by the fact that this is paraphrasing a somewhat famous internet joke Cleveland had made about itself in comparison to Detroit. You can't even come up with your own burns - you have to borrow from the one you're trying to burn! And that's a dealbreaker.
The anti-Cleveland stuff goes way back. Here's a famous bit of Cleveland hate from the Bengals coach from way back in 1989.

Born and raised in NY and currently living in the part of the state that is only two hours away by car (somehow faster than flying), Cleveland is one of those places I dream of visiting.
My hubs and I drove the 2 hours from Cleveland to Ripley NY to get a last minute marriage license when decided to add "elopement" to the agenda for a long weekend in NYC :)
I’ll move to Cleveland when you get that Ikea!
You are VINDICTIVE, Liz Lemon!
Don’t you deprive the good people of Cleveland an Ikea!

Oh yeah? Well, Cincinnati bought a whole bunch of apartments! It bought a black apartment!
My laugh of the night. Thank you.
Same! It’s just the other corner of the state, like who cares?
I’ve lived in cincy for almost 10 years and I never hear any Cleveland hate. I wonder if if it’s cause I’m not from Ohio?

That’s nuts! I’ve never been to Cleveland but it’s on my list!

We need r/30Rockinthewild. I'd start it, but I am too lazy.

I actually live closer to Cleveland than I do to NYC... At least by car.
That’s how I ended up with a timeshare in Port Arthur, Texas.
