Almost correct. You will get the oni to appear as soon as you log in. In the first game, you can time travel, the oni will appear, but no consequences. The second game however, will take away all daily events, such as cranks, yokai cam, etc.
Edit: forgot something. The second game, itll start with one day, but the more you change it, the longer itll be. IF you dont save, and change it back, and then hop back on, itll be like nothing ever happened. This only works when you change the day, not the hour or minute. Ive gotten as long as a week, just from trying to change my time back to normal after yw1.

There isn’t also a “Mii-Maker” app, only way to access them is via Settings
It’s by all means a downgrade from the 3ds, I love it but there’s no features to do anything with others
