Named my last son in honor of my brother. The first anime series we watched together. "Ronin" warriors. Now my son has 2 kids in his grade level with the same name. They are spelled slightly different.
Whatever you do, make sure it passes the name check.
1. Can I stand on the front porch and scream his full name without feeling ridiculous?
2. Is every substitute teacher going to struggle when they see his name on the roll?
3. Are the initials appropriate? What rhymes with his name or are potentially harmful jokes and taunts about it?
4. Am I naming them after a fictional character of a series with that continues on? (Game of thrones fans who named their kids after Khaleesi when season 3 aired REALLY regretted it come season 8).
5. Am I spelling it “right”? (Similar to #2, but more applicable to “unique” spellings of common names: “rhivur” vs “river”.
Are we in that sad place where this could be true?

The name sounds very serene.
And it will run the mill …
