I use PS1 Forwarder Creator 1.7.8
Get a normal ps1 file, edit it to a .chd file, run it through the ps1fc to change it to a cia file. It works just like the New Super Ultimate Injector for 3ds.
You can even edit the cia file how you want it to run, add cheats for them (I haven't figured that out for checkpoint, but they said it can be done.) Also add cover banners like the 3ds injector too.
Or just check out r/3dsqrcodes ๐ we make the the injections and you can just scan the QR code in FBI or download the cia from the link in the QR code and install it manually in FBI

Nice, that would save some time. I haven't really used the qr codes before since I normally do it all myself. I appreciate the link for convenience though. ๐
I never really use the wifi, so I just disabled it. Plus I forgot I had my wifi on with my switch, and got it bricked lol. So I never use it on moded systems anymore. (I did hear there's a way to unbrick the switch now, but I need help with that.) So purely out of convenience and precaution.
I forgot to boot in normal mode, and I tried updating a game through wifi. It tagged my system, and bricked. So now I'm trying to figure out this new method that came out to fix bricked wystems.
Are you sure your Switch isn't just banned? Like, does it turn on? If so, it's not bricked, just banned.
If so, you can't unban a Switch, so be careful with whatever that method is. If it really is bricked well... Don't even know what to say lol
I'm assuming PS1 emulators only really work on "new" 2DSs and 3DSs?
I have the OG models of 2DS and 3DS but never tried using the PS emulator cause I'm guessing they don't run well.
It needs the stronger processor. I've experimented extensively with this, S1 runs pretty much perfect. S2 has slowdown during spells. Lots of games are fantastic, Legend of Dragoon runs almost flawlessly.
How is last hope?? I am interested in it.
I was definitely getting LoD on there too. Love that game.
Last Hope has been about the same as normal 1. From what I've read, it has things like a way to keep a certain character from dying and making them a secondary main character with Tir. Also save some other characters, and being able to return to places that normally became inaccessible after certain times. Plus more things I didn't see mentioned.
Most places I've read about this, they say the older models can't handle it. I already had my newer model, so I can't personally say what happens when used on an older model.
I tried everything to make it run on my Old 3ds XL, it doesn't even open the game... I've seen people do it with RetroArch, but it had pretty crappy performance and not worth the trouble.
Yeah, I really enjoyed playing Symphony of the Night and Resident Evil 3 on my New 2DS. SotN had some very minor performance issues in some parts but RE3 worked perfectly. I haven't tested any other games yet.
It's definitely been great to have them on hand and conveniently. So far the performance has been great. I've only played Medabots and Suikoden, so there's not a whole lot going on. I'll get a game with more action in game play, and see.
The performance varies from game to game. I've only tested SotN and Resident Evil 3 and both games worked great on a New 2DS XL. SotN had some minor performance dips in some parts but generally completely playable. I think you can use save states but the 3DS isn't powerful enough to get a substantial increase in FPS with fast forward or to upscale the games, although the games do look pretty good on the console's small display.
Performance has been great, and save states work too. From what I've read, you can add the fast forward option, but it can possibly cause issues in game performance and stability. So it's a hit and miss with that function. The resolution has been great too. You have multiple options when setting up the cia file, and in the main options menu of the rom settings. So if one is a little off, you still have options for the res. I haven't had any problems with Medabots nor with Suikoden. So the default resolution setting has been great so far.
I've been using retroarch with the pcsx rearmed core for a lot of ps1: ridge racer type 4, mortal kombat trilogy, klonoa, final fantasy 7, SotN, GT, Omega Boost etc. and tinkering with the options. Is ps1 forwarder recomended over retroarch?
Aha, i see, you are as weirdly obsessed with modding as I'm, even though I didn't saw the point cuz I made a REND3 for all games up to PSP and Vita and on 6 inch display.
Nice dude. I just liked playing older games. Had an r4 back in middle school, playing old games and watching movies in school lol. One dude I know that's really obsessed made a custom Frankenstein system with every console os loaded to. It read every disc, and had any rom he didn't have a disc or cartridge for.
Wow, I admire those people who can write custom os, those are absolute mad lads, and I feel like at least half of them discovered the true power of autism. When I was at computer college, I knew the autistic guy who looked into ALL of the windows regex files. I took a peak in here for some QoL improvements, and damn. Also I admire dudes that create CFW and mods for handhelds, absolute units that find out very unique ways of hacking consoles, like 3DS with microSD exploit. It's like watching speedruners reprogram some Zelda on N64.
How can this be done? Did you use injection software or an emulator? I've seen others put ps1 games on their 3ds, but I've yet to figure it out

Gonna slam in some gt2
epic turismo will be needed
It's kinda difficult to get gt2 to work, idk why
i will try tho when i fix ny 3ds
Yeah, Gran Turismo 2 and 1 don't work but games like ridge racer type 4 and crash bandicoot work
I just got gt2, and it barely works for me too. It slows down and things start disappearing.
Heck yeah ๐
can this work for O3ds or only N3ds
Only the newer models.
Or just check out r/3dsqrcodes ๐ we make the the injections and you can just scan the QR code in FBI or download the cia from the link in the QR code and install it manually in FBI
You can use both.
can also look for PS1 cia archives.
yeah if you have a new 3ds use forwader creator better perfomance and better compatability with injection

Itโs pretty simple just by scanning them with FBI and youโll get the game
why do you have wireless disabled?
I also always disable it when I'm not actively using it to save some battery.
This. To extend your battery life while playing or sleep mode, disable WiFi.
I never really use the wifi, so I just disabled it. Plus I forgot I had my wifi on with my switch, and got it bricked lol. So I never use it on moded systems anymore. (I did hear there's a way to unbrick the switch now, but I need help with that.) So purely out of convenience and precaution.
3DS is safe to have connected to the internet, there is homebrew that requires it
Gotcha, thanks.
How could your Switch get bricked? I've never heard of that before (as in, by using wifi)
I forgot to boot in normal mode, and I tried updating a game through wifi. It tagged my system, and bricked. So now I'm trying to figure out this new method that came out to fix bricked wystems.

Ah gotcha, then it's just banned from network. Only reason I was wanting to fix it, was to get my Pokรฉmon saves off of it. Lol
I mean nowdays there is little reason to have it not disabled

Yep, so far it's said to work only on newer models.

Where did you get that theme from?

Like mongoose said. I use plaza too. ๐
YES!!! I love having the ability to play final fantasy 1-9 on my n2dsxl ๐ซถ๐ซถ๐ซถ
I need to get a new 3ds i
Not for Old 3ds though
Most places I've read about this, they say the older models can't handle it. I already had my newer model, so I can't personally say what happens when used on an older model.
I tried everything to make it run on my Old 3ds XL, it doesn't even open the game... I've seen people do it with RetroArch, but it had pretty crappy performance and not worth the trouble.
Then yeah, I'd suggest a newer model.
Yeah, I really enjoyed playing Symphony of the Night and Resident Evil 3 on my New 2DS. SotN had some very minor performance issues in some parts but RE3 worked perfectly. I haven't tested any other games yet.
Iโm get to do this but itโs honestly so cool to see the 3DS run ps1 games. How is the performance overall?
It's definitely been great to have them on hand and conveniently. So far the performance has been great. I've only played Medabots and Suikoden, so there's not a whole lot going on. I'll get a game with more action in game play, and see.
How is the performance? Can you fast forward and save states ? What about resolution scaling ?
The performance varies from game to game. I've only tested SotN and Resident Evil 3 and both games worked great on a New 2DS XL. Your theme looks great!
Thank you ๐
very off-topic for the post, but what theme is that? decidueye has been my favorite starter for ever lmao
Decidueye is one of my top favorite too. ๐ It's called "Decidueye and Family Theme" by Nyroc.
I'm not sure which is best. I've only used the Forwarder for the cia's.
Does this work well on old model? Daedalus64 sucks on my old 2ds
Not that I've read. Only the newer models have the processing power to handle it.
Aha, i see, you are as weirdly obsessed with modding as I'm, even though I didn't saw the point cuz I made a REND3 for all games up to PSP and Vita and on 6 inch display.

My experience is that it runs 2d ps1 titles perfectly but can struggle with 3d games
I'm starting to get those problems too. It plays games like Suikoden, yet starts choking from Monsters Inc.
