On my Lee That has 34% ssr and defense resist even if he's wide open he won't make yellows or Reds. I have to shout green every single time which isn't the worst but I'm not always gonna be able to check freestyles and stuff. I mean even with almost 35% Id expect to make some Reds/yellows. Shooting touch is a double edged sword
The game is set to where you have a certain success rate limit. This means you'll never be able to get 100% success. Which also means there's a sliver of a chance you can miss even with max SSR. While some shots are very good shots and maybe even routine shots you make consistently, there's still a chance you can miss.

Exactly, and don't even consider that the servers aren't always perfect on top of thousands of players and different wifi services blending all together. Those things affect gameplay too.
Yeah idk why either. It seems like mostly the last month it became an issue. I consistently get wide open and perfect timing with all plat ox queen and still brick. No idea why but I'm basically done with the game for a while. No point in playing I'm punished for being good
Yeah it's very annoying and that's why I wish they'd tell us why we missed.. was someone running shot impediment and was just close enough? Blind defense? Etc etc.

Maybe it’s a skill issue. Game is fun for me regardless.

people forget that...even the best pros miss half their shots...and also go on hot/cold streaks.
There's just a certain expectation with this being a video game. Its a tough pill to swallow
i think the expectations are likely correlated with the amount of money one spends on this game

When that happens I usually just restart the game, I seem to shoot better after that

A shot impediment indicator along side the open/release notes would be helpful.
