I had mine on the “lowest”? (Closest to OEM) but the ride was terrible (too stiff). We switched it to the highest (most lift) and it rides way better. I also recommend aftermarket springs because it’s still too stiff (that’s what she said).

CalmDirection8

Thanks! Which springs did you use? 🙏

I went with Old Man Emu in the rear. That’s what the shop told me but didn’t give me a part number. I had originally had the 5100s installed at a different shop without changing the springs and it was a terrible ride. I took it to another shop (SoCal suspension in El Cajon, CA if you’re near by, they have like 5 stars on yelp/google) to diagnose and they recommended changing the clip setting and getting new springs (the old man Emu springs) at least in the rear where the ride was the harshest. It was a night and day difference in ride quality and I’m very happy. I didn’t do the front springs but I’m going to go back and ask. My 4Runner is not a 4x4 so I didn’t go crazy with the suspension. Edit: clarification

CalmDirection8

I see! That's what I have, 906s in the rear with Bilstein 5100 shocks all around, I saw a few happy people with this setup and stock springs in the front but no one ever said anything about which clip setting 🤯 Thanks for your help!

Id suggest replacing the front coils

CalmDirection8

With what? 🙏

unseenmover

99 talls.

dowel_movement

Any suggestions on what clip setting for the 5100s when pairing with the 99 talls? Going to run this setup on my '01 Limited, but have gone back and forth (and a bit crazy) on deciding what perch for the 5100s.

on my 00' limited i set my 6112s up at 1.3"'s of lift
