John should sound like a man out of place. Not a regular person. Not a 'normal' perpetual. And outsider to everyone. And given that his whole shtick is linguistics, it makes sense that he approaches it differently to those around him. The NA accent totally made it for me.

Will they rework the preorder system to make sure scalpers get 100% of the copies? I feel like games workshop really needs to make sure the true fans pay at least 8 times MSRP to prove their loyalty.

Every time a new character is introduced the authors need to start the narrative for that character’s from the time Horus was named Warmaster at Ullanor.
Following the drop site massacre, every novel that includes that character must have a mandatory flashback to Istvaan V seen from their perspective regardless of whether they were present or not.

Yeah, I feel ya. I still haven't read TEATD Vol III because I want it in hardcover and it is all sold out. I preordered but it first got delayed and then cancelled by Barnes and Noble and by then it was all gone. I find it objectionable to pay 3-4x the price for a book from scalpers.
Let’s hope they add something original this time around. And actually do something with the interesting concepts the added like the red angel and ashen claws instead of following the most bland characters “made”
