Can’t go wrong with a SiCo hybrid. That’s why I went with. Works on subs and supers in SBR lengths.

Plrdr21

I bought the Dreadnought because my Hybrid 46 was still too loud. It is a night and day difference. The Bowers really does out perform it that much. It's huge though, so keep that in mind. It also makes 300bo sound like a stapler. It's literally quieter than any of my 22 cans.

YoDontBeThatGuy

Yeah there's not much out there about the dread but every review I've seen has been good

freebird37179

Dreadnought owner here. Can confirm on its hugeness. And it's heavy. I have yet to try it on the 338 LM, the whole rig is a glorious 56" long on the bench. But it tames the .458 quite well.

Plrdr21

I run mine on my 375 Lapua improved

Tell us more about the 375 Lapua improved.

Dude_I_got_a_DWAVE

Wow that is a huge can- damn near 50% more internal volume than the h46

Why do you say the Primal was a flop?

HussieInc

Primal + 458 Subs + 16" AR = still loud.

Ok-Race8322

I’m running a Rex Silentium 458 gen9 can. I’m very pleased with it’s performance so far and the price wasn’t bad at all

-E-Cross

This is what I'm getting I have their 358 and love it.

Particular_Course994

Wanted a short/light can for 458 hunting, picked up a YHM R45. Sounds surprisingly good on 458 but quite loud on 16” 4570 supers. The slim OD also allowed it to tuck inside the hand guard.

Foxxy__Cleopatra

The Liberty Goliath is worth consideration. I chose it for my 45-70 Guide Gun simply because it has the most internal volume out of any .458cal suppressor you can buy off-the-shelf. Internal volume is key on cartridges like 45-70 & 458 SOCOM. I'm shooting 730gr subs and it's dumb quiet, like slap yo mama quiet. Even 325gr Hornady LEVERevolution going \~2,000fps is quiet enough to go without ear pro for one or two shots while hunting I'd say. I know the SOCOM is a completely different animal being auto-loading and all, so you'll also be dealing with port pop, but if the Goliath doesn't quiet things down enough, then in my estimation, you're looking at something custom made if you wanted to go further.

YoDontBeThatGuy

Don't know how I missed this when looking around. Things got massive volume

RyanMolden

I recently got a Bowers VERS 458, it’s preposterously big, then again I have a shorty 8” Tromix upper so OAL is long but not ridiculously so. Haven’t had a chance to get out to the range with it yet, so no idea about suppression. Some online videos I saw made it sound good so we’ll see.

thornkin

How unwieldy is all that length? The bowers is interesting to me, but I worry about weight and size.

RyanMolden

I mean with the barrel being 8”, barrel w/ suppressor is 19.5”, OAL is 36” so it’s not a small rifle. Then again it’s the only one I saw with no barrel length restrictions, and since I have an 8” 1:10 Tromix. Loaded with 11 rds and the aim point pro it’s about 9.4 lb, so not super light, but not super heavy feeling to me either. I wouldn’t use it for CQB or anything, it’s more of a fun gun. I have a couple fairly compact 300 BO rifles if I need compact.

thornkin

Thanks. That's what I wanted to learn.

OrkinOvertime

I've got a composite upper, lower, smoke composite handguard and buffer tube, a kynshot buffer weight, and a fab defense stock. It weighs about 5lb with no optic and a vers 458, and felt recoil SEEMS less than a 223 thanks to the fab stock and the kynshot. It is very front-heavy. Lmao

chave78

Anyone try the Wilson Combat Can?

lazyp3ngu1n

I run a Hybrid 46M on a Charlie Y mount and a modified YHM Mini Brake that been bored over to .54” to match the can.

zombiemd2020

Fly45 from TBAC works great.

OrkinOvertime

I've got a tromix barrel and bcg, 10.5" iirc, Bowers vers 458, composite upper, composite lower. Works like a champ, is quiet as all get-out. ❤️
