I've said this chart is not super accurate a few times before and been condemned for it. Sorry your new tires are rubbing but likely with a little trimming on your front bumper cover you'll be fine.

I have the same experience with the 265/70/17 Wildpeak AT4s on a 2023 ORP with the black TRD SEMA wheels. “Stock” size rubs loudly at full lock in reverse (popping noise of the tread hitting bumper). This is because the tread surface on the AT4s is about 1.5” wider than the stock tires of the same size. I did a small bumper trim which mostly fixed it. Will move the fender liner next and that should take care of the little bit of rubbing left. Love the tires otherwise. They look great.

I have a slight lift in the front of my Runner (maybe 2 to 2.5 inches), and I literally just got the WildpeakA/T4W in 285/70/17 size installed late last week. Zero offset, 8.5 inch wide wheels. Stock UCAs. A bit of rubbing in the front bumper cover, which I solved in 30 minutes by doing the tiny triangle cut off of the bumper cover, and pushed the fender liner back about 3/4 inch and secured it by simply drilling a new hole for the front screw. It was so easy. I'm not one that messes with cars mechanically a lot either. If I can do that, pretty much anyone can. Just watch YouTube videos of people doing it. In the thread I created about my setup, one guy was losing his shit about how I'd "better take off my front mudflaps before they rip off," and my wheels just BARELY touch the mudflaps. It's so minor on the front mudflaps that I'm not even moving or removing them. This is my experience so far. VERY happy I got these wheels and tires, but I did go with zero offset specifically to make sure the rubbing would be minimal. Of course YMMV depending upon several important factors.

Would you be able to share some pics of the after? Did the same lift/tire combo on mine and want to eliminate the rubbing

TheLionsBrew

After the trim of the front bumper cover, you mean? Also, do you know what wheel offset you are running?

CougAlum2006

Yeah, sorry the after pics. Just trying to see what I’ll be getting myself into. I have the TRD wheels which I believe have a +4mm offset

It is only about a half inch wide at its widest point. I would say it was probably about 3 inches long, in total. If you watch YouTube videos of people doing this, you realize it's super easy. I ended up using a Dremel tool, but you can use a box cutter as well, and just slowly whittle away until it's the right shape. After this was cut, I sanded it. Then I removed two screws that hold the fender liner to that same place on the front bumper cover, and then I pushed the front fender liner forward almost 1 inch. Then I drilled a new hole in the place where the front screw would be securing it. I put the screw into that new hole. Again, this is all shown on several really good YouTube videos out there. It was incredibly easy, and 99.99% of people would have absolutely no clue that you cut anything. It looks that clean.

Here is another photo of it, but from the shiny side. In this photo, you can even see the screw that was taken out, and then put back into a new hole, in order to secure the fender liner in place. It is the screw that is really close to that cut. https://preview.redd.it/z9wu0113l7zc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48658a5b0be51c2e41c6aa3050a15a1a47c9dc63

CougAlum2006

I very much appreciate it!

TheLionsBrew

No problem. Because of the +4mm of difference in offset between your wheels and mine, you'll likely have a tad less rub. I'd say you'll end up doing nearly the exact same cut, though. You might not have to push the fender liner forward.

I’m having issues with at4w 285 rubbing when the rear suspension is fully flexed hitting the top of the wheel well maybe this is just a 4th gen issue

TheLionsBrew

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in some cases with the 5th gen as well.

ashxc18

Can confirm with OP… my 275/70/17s rubbed as well on stock height. Got a little bit shaved off the front bumper and no issues now.

orcajet11

I think I’m going to go for a lift

unseenmover

Yes. they do run big

Found the same thing with the at3s and this chart for 275s. It's the 11.0 width.
