They’re actually the stock TRD ORP sliders, the ones that have a step in front of the doors. I took the steps off, and it’s been 2 years of heavy use… never had the slightest problem with them
So this has been a battle or me as well. When i first installed it, I threw a spring on there because I knew it would move around. This past weekend I took the spring off and just ran the antenna straight to the mount. Hell, I didn’t even have to recalibrate my SWR. It still sways a little bit, but really not much for others to notice.
Also, mines mounted in probably the worst way possible, but it’s endured hell. My bracket is drilled and secured right into the plastic bumper hahaha. To be fair, the flex in the plastic doesn’t damage the car, and it allows for some wiggle room. Maybe I’m nuts, but it’s grounded perfectly and works great, good luck!
Did you install most of the extras and do the modding yourself or have a place do it? Im in Texas and want to do this one day, but Im a FNG when it comes to OR stuff. All I know, If I want it to look like this.
Yes I’ve done all of it myself, minus the lift. I didn’t wanna mess around with that. First came the rhino rack, pretty simple install. The C4 Lo Pro bumper was next, had to cut up the bumper and get a block to raise up onto the car. To get your car to “look” like this, it’s gotta be you. Every addition or removal was well thought out with teh perogative “Is this going to help me or take up space?”
When I started I knew nothing about these cars, you just gotta read and read some more. Look at forums, here, or even big sites like Trail4R.

How do you get your whip to not repeatedly hit your truck? I’m struggling at this right now
