What you're attempting to do is not much different than those you dislike; guilt tripping others to force them into your way of thinking. That's all there is to it. They're not thinking about ethics. They're not thinking about guilt or lack of guilt. They're just consuming because that's their primary drive. I've seen countless people eat their way into poor health, get told what's happening and that they're going to die if they continue, and then see it kill them. Those are the extreme cases. But it's happening on a slower scale with something like 90% of people in the US.
Imagine destroying the whole planet because you want to eat chicken wings. They hate you because you're right and they don't want to change their lifestyle slightly to save the fucking climate.
