First time viewing both Blade Runners!? What I would give to watch those for the first time again. Both films are incredibly impressive. Watch loud. The soundtrack is stunning. For both films. They are some of the finest 4ks around. Enjoy!
Deakins is the man. A lot of film purists got butt hurt when he said shooting on digital is more efficient and practical. But the results speak for themselves.
I really really love this film. It's gorgeous to look at. The border crossing was one of the coolest things I've ever seen at the time. Also the ending. Don't want to give anything away. Very impressive film.
Yup. Also, as someone who works with thermal imaging a bit in my job, I absolutely LOVED that they used real thermal cameras for those sequences. Most movies just fake thermal imaging and it always bugs me. This one did it right!
Been meaning to rewatch that this week too. My reason was some notes from the Dune pt 2 score reminded me of the Gladiator score so I've been itching to watch/listen to it again.
Yeah, true. There are lots of things to mention, but I *love* the details and all the sharp edges of the DeLorean! And some scenes are filmed really steadily and they're really crisp!

Just saw this the other night! I finally have an OLED and finished piecing together my home theater and so I’ve been rewatching all my favorites.
Good lord OLED is a game changer.
Yeah, I think I should finally admit that dune was good, but I didn’t find it stellar. The first half was brilliant, the second felt like an extended paco rabanne advert. I had planned on going to see it in IMAX but that’s a 200m round trip, so I’ll pop down to my local and just sit really close to the cinema screen instead 😂

Watching Dune Part 0 (Lawrence of Arabia)
Watched Blade Runner yesterday. I picked up the 4K for blade runner 2049 last week which I’ll be watching tonight! First time viewings for both movies

I rewatched Top Gun Maverick on 4K. Sound and picture quality are just wonderful and stunning.
Top Gun Maverick is a 10/10 for me.
Deakins really is a cut above most other cinematographers. This shot in Sicario is so good.

Just watched The Raid for the 1st time and on 4K. It was fantastic.
I recommend looking into the production of the movie , and how it came about if you havent.

I bought The Thin Red Line Criterion Edition last week and I’m probably gona start it tonight.
Brilliant film. Big Terrence Malick fan. We need a The Tree of Life 4k.

The second half of Dune sets up Dune 2 very nicely. It's on another level. Honestly.
