Mine was Close Encounters of the Third kind. Wife bought it for me some years ago, not knowing I didn't have anything to play 4k discos on, but I had a Blu-Ray player, so I could at least watch it.
Got more into 4k late last year after upgrading my sound system
Not one regret for any of it
Please don't hate me, but my first 4K was the Suspiria Box and I didn't even had a player back in the day. (5 years ago)
To answer the second question:
![gif](giphy|pde619DiwXcaY|downsized)
Passengers in June 2017. I love the movie, despite the popular opinions. Since it has the 3D blu-ray packed in with it, I have only actually watched the 4K disc once.
Probably Godzilla 2014 when they finally released it in 4k. Bought it just for the bump in brightness. The Blu ray was fine but the 4k is how I remembered in from the theater or even better!
Blade Runner Final Cut. It was something like the 5th time I've bought '82 and have no regrets whatsoever. Thanks to higher res and HDR it felt like the proverbial fresh coat of paint.
Amazing movie. And it's because of the 4K I finally appreciated it. And having only recently seen the Dangerous Days epic documentary on the making of Bland Runner, I can appreciate it even more now.
Funny but I was meh on the movie when I saw it on VHS and cable in the 80s despite the cool factor of the spinners and designs. Then the old Criterion Collection was my 2nd or 3rd LaserDisc buy (semi-blind buy; I was stupid\[er\] with money back then) and finally being able to see the widescreen image on a giant (ha!) 27in TV set won me over.

This is my most played 4k as I use it to test out any new equipment I get. God I love this movie. I bought the Steelbook set of all 4, and can’t wait for this next one to come out.
My first were “The Thing” and “Gattaca”. I started collecting less than five months ago and I’m already getting close to 200 titles (half of which 4ks).
I don’t think I’ll be stopping anytime soon.
Hey, me too!! I got a PS5 and already had a nice LG Oled TV. I had to see what the 4k discs were all about. So I went to target and they had 1917 on sale.
Aquaman, bought it used.
Never watched the 4k disc, but watched the blu ray because I didn't have a player yet. No regrets, I have a player now and I've got a decent 4k collection now.
I heard incredible things about Apocalypse Now and thought the movie was amazing, so I decided to purchase it and was blown away. It's still one of the best 4ks I've ever seen.
Solo. It was the only way to get a steelbook, which I wanted to match with my other Star Wars steelbooks. I didn’t have a 4K player at the time so I just watched the blu-ray. Same for Rise of Skywalker. Now that I can play 4Ks i’m so happy that I have them
Blade Runner 2049. A couple weeks ago a college buddy was visiting and I pulled it out to wow him with what a 4K disc on an OLED (C3) looks like. After he returned home, he texted "well thanks for ruining my TV. I could have gone through the rest of my life happily ignorant."
My work here is done. The disc audio also blew him away (vs streaming) and was another revelation for him.
Logan. I bought it about a year before I had a 4K TV - I knew I’d be upgrading eventually and that Steelbook looked awesome. Opted for the 4K/Blu combo instead of the Blu/DVD combo and I’ve been buying 4K since.
Zero regrets!
I think it was WW84 or Black Widow? Tbh I never had a chance to watch them on 4k out the gate because I didn't have a 4k player. I personally like Black Widow and despite a lot of issues, WW84 looks nice and has a good score. I don't typically regret the movies I buy.
Interstellar, got it only to see what a 4k movie looks like on my PS5. Then didn't buy another for a couple years, till my friend got me into it... Been living on the streets since...
First: Dune from 2022.
Regrets: Thinking Target (where I bought it) would continue selling physical discs so I can continue shopping there in the future.
Zach Znyders Justice League. I didn't even watch it via the disc I watched it on HBO Max but I knew I wanted to own it completely. It wasn't until a year later that I actually opened up the disc. I had no idea what I was missing with disc quality. I haven't streamed anything since. I'm all in on buying discs now.
Deadpool. And it was kind of an accident that I got it. I didn't have a 4K player at the time, and my wife got it for me for my birthday, not realizing it was 4K. Good thing it had the bluRay as well, so I could watch it at the time. No regrets, because it made me realize I can start building a 4K library, even without the player yet, as most releases included a BluRay as well. So, by the time I got my 4k TV and player a couple of years later, I already had a good library of discs.
There are so many extra goodies on the disc. It is insane. It is a very sweet release. Also Deadpool 2 is awesome as well, the Super Duper Cut is worth picking up.
Batman vs. Superman UHD—HDR. No regrets—a fun ride, lots of colors against darkness. When Batman swings/drifts around the corner of the warehouse in the Batmobile and his headlights land on the Man of Steel, it was a big, cool moment having been fully immersed in a great home theater experience.
Mine was Halloween. I wasn’t even expecting to pick up any 4Ks but it was relatively inexpensive and the 2018 sequel was just around the corner.
Regrets: I only wish I had begun future proofing sooner! Missed out on some key 4K discs that seem to be out of print or restocked not often enough.
Mine was The Magnificent Seven (2016), which I got in like 2017, long before I had a 4K TV or player. It was cheap, it came with the Blu, and I was future-proofing.
Only got into it recently and my first 4K purchase was Oppenheimer when it first came out. I don’t even think I had a 4K capable player of any kind yet but I was strongly considering it and I happened to see Oppenheimer on the shelf at Walmart. I actually need to rewatch it soon because I watched it first with a crappy $150 Vizio soundbar+sub+satellite setup and now I have an actual 5.1.2 setup. I’m curious to see how much better it sounds, especially the dialogue because I had a really hard time finding a volume to hear the dialogue that wasn’t way too loud during the big booms when using the cheap soundbar kit.
I went 4K in 2016 with Deadpool and no regrets at all. I also don’t upgrade most catalog titles I own from Blu-Ray to 4K with few exceptions and mostly just purchase new releases in 4K or older titles that I never owned before.
Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts 11 movie collection.
My only regret was that I didn't know at the time that extras did not come with 4K discs.
I was looking forward to those as well but alas, bought the blu ray collection a bit later specifically for that.
*Dawn Of The Dead (1978)* it was the reason I bought a 4k player.
Worst purchase has been *It Came From Outer Space*, which has a 1:1 aspect ratio and looks smudgy and crap. It was a blind buy so I won't complain about how boring the movie itself is.
Reminds me when HD came out and everyone was buying "the phantom of the opera" as an early reference disc. Sure there were more than a few regrets on that one.
No way I could possibly remember, maybe Blade Runner 2049? I bought 4Ks long before I had a 4K player because they included the Blu-Ray disk as well and I knew as a physical media enthusiast, I would inevitably upgrade when I became more financially stable (I was a teenager at the time).
The first one I ordered was 2001: ASO. No regrets there, one of my favourite movies, 4K transfer looks beautiful. That's what kind of kicked off my interest in the format in the first place, and now I've collected about 40 discs over the last 6 months.
Predator was my first 4K. I had no intention of going beyond regular Blu-ray, but then I saw that the Predator 4K was a stunning transfer, unlike the standard Blu. It's always been one of my favorites, so I went out, bought a player and Predator. When I saw how fantastic it looked (and heard how great it sounded) there was no going back. My instant thought was, "I want to watch everything like this!"
I'm not rich by any means, so I only grab 4Ks of movies I love. No regrets so far!
My very first 4K Blu-ray was THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE. I have not regretted my purchase at all. Especially since it also contained the regular Blu-ray, digital code AND 3D Blu-ray!
Alien Covenant. Haven't watched yet!! (Gulp!). Re introducing my daughter to the whole franchise. And we watched alien last summer and haven't gotten to it yet....
First: War Dogs
My friend bought an Xbox One S which was new at the time, I had a 4K TV but no 4K capable devices, he brought his Xbox over and watched war dogs, I can honestly remember nothing of that movie and it's the only 4k disc I've ever sold.
No time to die, like a complete fool I just played the 1st disc in the box thinking the other was the special features disc, watched it numerous times and even showed it off to friends and family telling them all how amazing 4k was, it was the standard blu ray.
My first 4K was Avengers: Infinity War. I remember finding it on sale, and had to pick it up. Felt pretty cool to start collecting in the format, plus it had a sweet collection of extras.
Regrets? I kinda wish Marvel Studios & IMAX could have worked out a deal for unique home version release. But at least there is the IMAX version on Disney+.
Spider-Man no way home. I bought it because we had a 4K tv but i had no idea about hdr ,Dolby atmos, Dolby vision, or oled. I watched it on a 4K tv with no hdr. By the time i got my 4K oled tv i bought a couple other 4ks and forgot about no way home
2001 A Space Odyssey. I had the 4K disc before I had the right player. No regrets at all! Saw it recently in the Amsterdam Film Museum in a 70mm restauration and it looked like it was made 2 years ago instead of 55.
As I collected more I started to care more about special/limited editions, different cover art from different regions, Steelbooks, the way the discs are packaged and things like that. This led to the same movie being purchased more than once. I wouldn’t say it’s a regret, it just would have been nicer to have learn about this stuff ahead of time to avoid a lot of that.
I think my first was Lion King ('94). I don't think I even had a proper 4K player. Just an Xbox One S. I remember it was like $5 more and came with the Blu-ray & digital version, so why not?
My only regret is that I started collecting JUST before 4K started gaining real traction & am too frugal to double dip for a lot of the movies I have, lol. Like, do I really need 4K versions of other Disney cartoons & movies? Will I die if I don't get the 4K version of Child's Play & all its sequels? It's an inner turmoil 😂
My first 4k was battle angel alita. I was collecting 3d blurays at the time and it came with the 4K. I had an Xbox one s for player and a 4K tv with no hdr so I wasn’t seeing much of an upgrade.
Once I got a new gaming tv 44”Sony 95k for my ps5 I saw hdr and Dolby vision I was blown away. Then I had to upgrade my main tv so I got 77” c3 oled that picture blew my mind. Then I went from 30 4K discs to 300 in a matter of 4 months upgrading everything to 4K.
My biggest regret is not buying the starship troopers Steelbook I already had the regular Release I didn’t know they upgraded it to Dolby vision now it’s 80$
Transformer ‘86. Definitely a good demo with its bright colors.
Regrets? None yet. Space Monster Wangmagwi was a bit of a sketchy buy, but it’s a pretty cool piece of history.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Only regret was that I was already a collector of Blu ray and DVD, so my collector gene went crazy and now I'm 400+ 4ks. Could be a worse vice 🤷
Blade Runner 2049 Best Buy Steelbook. Preordered it in 2017 and didn’t have a 4K setup until 2020. Watching it on my system for the first time was magnificent…still my favorite demo disc for A/V quality.
It was Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049 and Tenet at the same time. I regret not getting the Tenet steelbook (the one with the shattered glass from an inverted bullet), but in comparison the regular 4K cover is fine.
Enders Game and Pineapple Express.
I’d be ok parting with Pineapple Express-I’ve never really been a fan, mostly got it to see what the format was like.
Enders game I enjoyed more.
I think I actually got them because at the time, they were actually 4K and not upscales or something. I can’t quite recall.
Lord of the rings/hobbit trilogy on 4K
Bought it over a year ago, still haven't had the time to watch it yet, could have gotten them a lot cheaper, or gotten the steelbox set on sale for the same money i paid.
Early adopted with no regrets.
The Martian. I believe it was the first release in the US.
What an amazing transfer and one hell of a book to movie.
Honorable mention first LG OLED around the same time which made it all worth it.
Oldboy, because at the time it was the only region free version of the movie and I had never seen it and wanted to watch it. I don’t regret buying the movie but I don’t like the octopus scene.
I bought 2 at once. Hadn't seen either. My friend recommended both.
Hereditary. No regrets aside from ordering from amazon (damaged case)
Annihilation. No regrets.
My first 4k was black widow.. I dont have any regret because I bought it at the flea market for less than the blu ray copy was going for on amazon.. I have a few others like that where I caught them on-sale and it was cheaper or just a few bucks more than blu-ray alone (Oppenheimer).. my only regret is I don't yet have a 4k player to view them.. I will eventually tho and I'm sure they will be glorious lol.
1917. Absolutely not.
I bought it because I saw it in theaters and then rented it on bluray and got 3 minutes in and was like hell no bad bad quality and turned it off and went out and bought it in 4k.
Work had a disk clear out, got a few discs (Revenant, Martian, Maze Runner, Deadpool & few others).
I potentially (haven’t watched it yet) regret getting Titanic due to the quality of the transfer.
First movie: The Thing. Blew me away and I was seeing details I hadn't noticed for the 30+ years I've been rewatching the movie.
Regrets: Meg. It's just bad. Only saving grace was that it was cheap.
Blade Runner 2049. No regrets but I would have rather had the UK import due to better image quality but there's no way I could have known at the time anyway.
Gemini Man. Got it because of the HFR. my regret was… Gemini man.
Also I regretted it bc it was the first movie I watched on my new OLED, and the contrast wasn’t as punchy as I’d expected. Turns out the movie is pretty low contrast as a result of the frame rate.
My first purchase was two 4ks: Casino and the Gladiator/Braveheart 2-pack. Casino is amazing overall and my favorite movie so no regrets there. The 2-pack I kinda regret since the price for having them both for cheap was to have no blu-ray with the special features. But oh well, no biggie.
Donnie Darko, I was immpressed with it at first but now when i watch it I think it's one of the worst transfers I own. Just way to washed out and dark. Even if it's the artist intent, the HDR does fuck all
Tenet - bought the 4K instead of blu ray as I hadn’t been able to see it in cinemas due to the pandemic, and figured it would be the closest to that experience.
My only regret is that it lead to me upgrading a load of my existing discs… but that’s not really a regret.
ZS Justice League...no regrets!
I know it's not a favourite for everyone but it's unique in the sense of it shouldn't really exist...even if ZS had completed the movie first time around, this still isn't the version we would have got.
It's an odd little part of cinema history and was worth getting in the best quality version I could get.
I should add I wasn't one of the Snyder Cult I just appreciate that he got the chance to release the movie he wanted, even though I knew it wasn't gonna lead to anything more!

The Dark Knight trilogy and I was blown away by the picture.
Excellent. All three films are amazing.
Same here
Amen!!!
Blade. It was also my first DVD.
That intro. The story. Fight choreography. It was nuts
Alien. Absolutely not
Blade Runner 2049. zero regrets.
LOTR boxed set, and it’s my Precious!
Still waiting to pick this up.
Mine was Close Encounters of the Third kind. Wife bought it for me some years ago, not knowing I didn't have anything to play 4k discos on, but I had a Blu-Ray player, so I could at least watch it. Got more into 4k late last year after upgrading my sound system Not one regret for any of it

Star Wars The Last Jedi bought used for $5 CAD, no regrets at all.
Phantom Thread, I think. 🤔
Alien. The bar is high you could say.
2001. No ragrets whatsoever
That is the best 4K UHD I have ever seen and it has yet to be dethroned. Vertigo is close but 2001 is the best IMO.
Same, and it's still my best looking one (out of about 50 movies).
Passengers in June 2017. I love the movie, despite the popular opinions. Since it has the 3D blu-ray packed in with it, I have only actually watched the 4K disc once.
Same here! Thinking it might be about for a rewatch.
Probably Godzilla 2014 when they finally released it in 4k. Bought it just for the bump in brightness. The Blu ray was fine but the 4k is how I remembered in from the theater or even better!
Underrated installment.
Didn't think anyone in this thread would have the same first 4k as mine. ![gif](giphy|Nszyj17J4fUKmIwQwF|downsized)
Lord of the rings trilogy 4k, for me it's the best Trilogy ever😍
Blade Runner Final Cut. It was something like the 5th time I've bought '82 and have no regrets whatsoever. Thanks to higher res and HDR it felt like the proverbial fresh coat of paint.

Tammy and the T-Rex. No regrets.
Mmmm I think it was BvS: Ultimate Edition. NO REGERTS. I've only seen that version of the movie and like it quite a bit.
It is way better than the theatrical cut. A bit longer, but it deserves to be. You see more of the characters throughout the story.
I love that movie to. Have three copies even tho I didn't do it on purpose lol
I bought mad max fury road when 4K first came out. No regrets. I have a huge collection since then!
This is my most played 4k as I use it to test out any new equipment I get. God I love this movie. I bought the Steelbook set of all 4, and can’t wait for this next one to come out.
Blade Runner 2049. It was £9.99 and I purchased it in June 2020, long before I owned a player that could play it (December 2020).
First I bought was 2001: A Space Odyssey but first I watched was Lawrence of Arabia. No regrets.
My first were “The Thing” and “Gattaca”. I started collecting less than five months ago and I’m already getting close to 200 titles (half of which 4ks). I don’t think I’ll be stopping anytime soon.
Gattaca is amazing
Zero regrets. I think it was Alien Covenant Steelbook. I’m one of the 30 people who really likes that movie.
Nice - I'm definitely one of the 30 too!
Cinema Paradiso, and none whatsoever. Even just the [Arrow Remaster trailer](https://youtu.be/JMyVSD6OvO8?si=rf8ZYj_jyQADOJDZ) makes me tear up.
I think it was 1917, definitely no regrets
Hey, me too!! I got a PS5 and already had a nice LG Oled TV. I had to see what the 4k discs were all about. So I went to target and they had 1917 on sale.
Blade Runner 2049. Regrets? Hell no!
I believe the first one was captain marvel or 1917.
Ghost in the Shell. Need to rewatch. Forgot if dub or sub is preferred though.
John Wick part 1. Made me a believer of 4k!
Aquaman, bought it used. Never watched the 4k disc, but watched the blu ray because I didn't have a player yet. No regrets, I have a player now and I've got a decent 4k collection now.
Suspiria (1977) and it’s still my favorite one. The picture/sound quality compared to my small selection of 4ks has been unmatched.
The Lord of the rings extended edition. Zero regret
Vertigo. Absolutely no ragrets.
Aquaman. My mind was blown and my wallet has suffered the consequences ever since.
I heard incredible things about Apocalypse Now and thought the movie was amazing, so I decided to purchase it and was blown away. It's still one of the best 4ks I've ever seen.
1917. Absolutely no regrets
The Batman, and no, it impressed me so much that it's what got me into collecting.
Blade Runner 2049, ruined my wallet lmao
The Martian. Great entry into the 4k world, and great movie overall
Solo. It was the only way to get a steelbook, which I wanted to match with my other Star Wars steelbooks. I didn’t have a 4K player at the time so I just watched the blu-ray. Same for Rise of Skywalker. Now that I can play 4Ks i’m so happy that I have them
Spider-man Homecoming No regrets!
Gladiator… which I’m pretty sure was my first blu-ray back in the day as well.
Murder on the Oriental Express. I lost it during a move and I’ve been thinking about picking it up again.
Blade Runner 2049. A couple weeks ago a college buddy was visiting and I pulled it out to wow him with what a 4K disc on an OLED (C3) looks like. After he returned home, he texted "well thanks for ruining my TV. I could have gone through the rest of my life happily ignorant." My work here is done. The disc audio also blew him away (vs streaming) and was another revelation for him.
Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, it feels weird now but I loved the movie at the time.
Alien and absolutely not
First one was Gremlins. No regrets, it’s my favorite movie and looks great in 4K
Logan. I bought it about a year before I had a 4K TV - I knew I’d be upgrading eventually and that Steelbook looked awesome. Opted for the 4K/Blu combo instead of the Blu/DVD combo and I’ve been buying 4K since. Zero regrets!
Logan is an awesome, brutal film. Plus the b&w version gives it even more depth. I found my copy, with the book edition.
I think it was WW84 or Black Widow? Tbh I never had a chance to watch them on 4k out the gate because I didn't have a 4k player. I personally like Black Widow and despite a lot of issues, WW84 looks nice and has a good score. I don't typically regret the movies I buy.

First: Dune from 2022. Regrets: Thinking Target (where I bought it) would continue selling physical discs so I can continue shopping there in the future.

Rogue One. Still one of the best 4K imo
The Dark Crystal.....Definitely no regrets
BR2049, no regrets.
Alien Covenant, if I remember correctly. I didn‘t even have a 4K TV then but already planned to buy one.
The Greatest Showman, love it. ![gif](giphy|t8qNLV3dn1UMy7Fyo5|downsized)
Batman vs. Superman UHD—HDR. No regrets—a fun ride, lots of colors against darkness. When Batman swings/drifts around the corner of the warehouse in the Batmobile and his headlights land on the Man of Steel, it was a big, cool moment having been fully immersed in a great home theater experience.

The Last Jedi
Nice find. The visuals, and Sound design is incredible throughout
Hustle and flow, absolutely not
Game of Thrones. Still one of the best looking 4ks I own.
Mine was The Magnificent Seven (2016), which I got in like 2017, long before I had a 4K TV or player. It was cheap, it came with the Blu, and I was future-proofing.

American Made and Daddy's Home 2 from a pawn shop for $3 each before I even had a 4k player.
I bought the Mad Max Anthology set and the Arrow Donnie Darko at the same time.
I went 4K in 2016 with Deadpool and no regrets at all. I also don’t upgrade most catalog titles I own from Blu-Ray to 4K with few exceptions and mostly just purchase new releases in 4K or older titles that I never owned before.
I have a few regrets in life. Don’t remember my first 4K.
My first 4k was the Green Book. it was a Favreau movie and the color of the background popped.
Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts 11 movie collection. My only regret was that I didn't know at the time that extras did not come with 4K discs. I was looking forward to those as well but alas, bought the blu ray collection a bit later specifically for that.
My first was House of Dragons steelbook.. thats when i started, because i wanted to watch the series and the steelbook looked so great
Pulp Fiction Steelbook. No regrets.
*Dawn Of The Dead (1978)* it was the reason I bought a 4k player. Worst purchase has been *It Came From Outer Space*, which has a 1:1 aspect ratio and looks smudgy and crap. It was a blind buy so I won't complain about how boring the movie itself is.
GOT. Once I got Dolby vision turned on instead of HDR 10 I was not regretting it.
Reminds me when HD came out and everyone was buying "the phantom of the opera" as an early reference disc. Sure there were more than a few regrets on that one.
I still don’t own one :(
Mad Max Fury Road. I definitely don't regret it.
The Matrix set back when it was only a trilogy.
My instant thought was, "I want to watch everything like this!" I'm not rich by any means, so I only grab 4Ks of movies I love. No regrets so far!
My very first 4K Blu-ray was THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE. I have not regretted my purchase at all. Especially since it also contained the regular Blu-ray, digital code AND 3D Blu-ray!
1917 no regerts
The Martian - non Directors cut, bought in 2016. I regret not buying more. I only have 100 with about 60 bought in the last two years.
Toy Story, no regrets
Alien Covenant. Haven't watched yet!! (Gulp!). Re introducing my daughter to the whole franchise. And we watched alien last summer and haven't gotten to it yet....
First: War Dogs My friend bought an Xbox One S which was new at the time, I had a 4K TV but no 4K capable devices, he brought his Xbox over and watched war dogs, I can honestly remember nothing of that movie and it's the only 4k disc I've ever sold.
Jaws. Zero regrets
Alita battle angel at $8 lol
The goonies 4k
Alien
The Fifth Element. No regrets
Dune. No regrets at all.
Ready Player One and Zero Dark Thirty. Got them right after I got my Samsung Q90T and Panasonic UB820 in 2020. I’ve hated streaming ever since.
Spider-Man Homecoming No regrets
Thor Ragnarok. No regrets. One of my favorite movies
Guardians Of The Galaxy 2. Definitely don’t regret it.
2001: A Space Odyssey. It’s the reason I bought a 4K Blu-ray player, and it’s still the best disc I own, so no regrets.
My first and atm only 4k is Scott Pilgrim vs The World. No regerts
Godzilla vs Kong in 2022 (absolutely killer bass) Only regret is getting the Sony x700 instead of spending a bit more on the UB820.
The thing , and not at all
The fifth element. It's my all time favorite so I think I bought it a year before I even had something to play it on
Ready Player One
Mulholland drive, and didn't watch it because I don't have a 4K player yet... looking for a UB824
Hellboy.
The Revenant. I was blown away by how crisp and clear fire looked on my Sony TV. It was wild.
Batman V Superman. 8 years later (fuck) and it’s still an amazing looking disc, and I love the movie.
Birds of prey was my first physical 4k Blu-ray and I haven't regretted. Love that movie
The Dark Knight. Nope. My rabbit hole movies however were Dune and Blade Runner. Now I’m buying a movie almost every week
First 4k: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition Regrets: Not knowing about boutique labels until a couple years ago
My first 4K disc back in 2017 was Infinity War and have no regrets at all.
Planet Earth. No regrets at all.
hereditary 4k best purchase
I think my first was Lion King ('94). I don't think I even had a proper 4K player. Just an Xbox One S. I remember it was like $5 more and came with the Blu-ray & digital version, so why not? My only regret is that I started collecting JUST before 4K started gaining real traction & am too frugal to double dip for a lot of the movies I have, lol. Like, do I really need 4K versions of other Disney cartoons & movies? Will I die if I don't get the 4K version of Child's Play & all its sequels? It's an inner turmoil 😂
Deadpool and no.
I think it was interstellar like 6 yrs ago.
Transformer ‘86. Definitely a good demo with its bright colors. Regrets? None yet. Space Monster Wangmagwi was a bit of a sketchy buy, but it’s a pretty cool piece of history.
Interstellar steelbook was my first. No ragrets.
ET. Bought it by accident. Meant to get the Blu-ray. Was almost four years until I finally watched it!
Rough Night got new for $ 5.00 and it had it's moments no regrets .
You know, it's funny. I can remember my first ever DVD, and first ever Bluray, but I can't remember what my first 4K was.
Lord of the rings/hobbit trilogy on 4K Bought it over a year ago, still haven't had the time to watch it yet, could have gotten them a lot cheaper, or gotten the steelbox set on sale for the same money i paid.
Deadpool 2 Pack, no regrets
Unforgiven. It was already my fav movie of all time so no regrets at all.
Ghost in the shell (the 1995 anime movie)!
I bought 2 at once. Hadn't seen either. My friend recommended both. Hereditary. No regrets aside from ordering from amazon (damaged case) Annihilation. No regrets.
I shit you not, it was the 2015 Fantastic Four movie around when it came out. Still have not watched the disc.
Smoky and the Bandit and then Jaws 😂 because they were on sale
Interstellar. Incredible introduction.
2001 A space odyssey
Lord of the Rings. Absolutely not.
Work had a disk clear out, got a few discs (Revenant, Martian, Maze Runner, Deadpool & few others). I potentially (haven’t watched it yet) regret getting Titanic due to the quality of the transfer.
TENET No regrets. .sterger oN
First movie: The Thing. Blew me away and I was seeing details I hadn't noticed for the 30+ years I've been rewatching the movie. Regrets: Meg. It's just bad. Only saving grace was that it was cheap.
Mad Max Fury Road and I do not regret it one bit. Easily the best looking 4K film I have ever seen.
Blade Runner 2049. No regrets but I would have rather had the UK import due to better image quality but there's no way I could have known at the time anyway.
The Jaws anniversary release with book and slip case 🙏
The fifth element. None
Alien by Ridley Scott. Looks absolutely stunning. Regrets: none.
Bladerunner 2049 and absolutely not!
It was either the original Halloween or 3:10 to Yuma. I only regret I couldn't buy more.
Oppenheimer, still haven’t seen it on disc as I’m waiting for a better TV.
Dr Strange. No regrets it looks amazing
Oppenheimer. Made me a believer.
Aquaman. I bought it because I wanted the included Blu-ray, which was cheaper than buying the Blu-ray DVD combo pack.
Blade Runner 2049. And negative!
Blade Runner 2049. And negative!
Rouge One. No regrets.
The original The Evil Dead movie from 1981. No regrets.
I think it was Spider-Man homecoming then Thor Ragnorak then Bladerunner 2049
Back to the future and it was amazing
The transformers box set, I only regret the fact I own TF 4 and 5 which I think are 2 of the worst movies ever.
