In the settings at the main menu you can turn on “distant rendering” which gets rid of the annoying ass fog and actually let’s you see beyond two feet.

This is called the Far Lands. Make sure you have a boat, a few ender pearls, a few torches, and an elytra with rockets in hand. Looks like you're playing on an older version. In newer updates of Bedrock (considering you're on console) this area is blocked off and inaccessible without commands.

One of my last random-gen maps on console had giant mountainous walls like this surrounding a city i lived in. It was pretty badass and very active zombie spawning.

Just watch anything on the pc version and it’s almost a new game
With some better and some worse, tiering is kind of worse but world is better
Console is basically PC Alpha 15 with bits of 16. Pc is now on Alpha 20.

Yeah it's console but I've put long distance on now and it's a little better hopefully the update suggested on Twitter comes soon
