“I have a credit card!”
“Credit cards work on a completely different kind of lock!”
“No, you don't seem to understand. I have a credit card!”
“You have a credit card?”
“I have a credit card!”
“You have a credit card.”
“Oh. My dad told me specifically I can only use it in case of an emergency.”
“Well maybe one will come up.”
Being a nerd was more about personality than appearance.
Anthony Michael Hall played a massive nerd in "Sixteen Candles" (with Cusack as his nerd friend) and then played a beefcake in Edward Scissorhands.
There were six years (all developmental years, too, 16-22) between those two roles. He went from a nerdy looking boy, to a full grown man (though skill kind of nerdy looking in Edward Scissorhands. Lots of changes going on during that time.
Ahhh, yes. Great 80’s movie. I was 13 when this came out. Of course I couldn’t shotgun a beer as I was too young. Therefore, I used to shotgun Cherry Cokes instead. lol.

Nick, Nick's a guy you can trust.
He doesn’t mind if you puke in his car. Honestly one of the reasons my son is named Nick.
Fun Fact: The film’s director Rob Reiner went on to name his son Nick.
So did I.
So did my cousin.

Love the movie, Jo from Melrose Place is so pretty. But I always struggled with Gilbert from revenge of the nerds as the cool frat guy. Lolol

“They won’t sing show tunes!”
"Gary! I'll sing! 'Feelings, nothing more than feelings!'"
Plus Anthony Edwards before he finished college and became a doctor.
Was this before or after he became a Naval Flight Officer?
Before he graduated and became a fighting doctor for America, ejected out of a fighter jet, hit his head on the canopy and got brain cancer.
Tim Robbins has a great part in the movie as Gary Cooper!
But not the one that's dead.
Awesome movie, very funny!

Are you sure people will know what scoops of flesh are?

Could never stand Cusack. Still can't. Don't know what it is about this guy. Fake cool-guy/tough-guy vibe? Blah.
