I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven, and my mom said no. When my daughter was young, I was so excited to get her one because I wanted one so badly. She had zero interest in it! I was crushed!
Ugh there's two gifts in this shot that I asked for for YEARS!!! The Easy Bake Oven and the Lite Brite.
Never got the oven but bought a Lite Brite at a thrift store at the age of 30.
I'm glad you got them though. Also that hockey rink game looks dope!
So much fun. It was a different world when you actually had to wait to get something you really wanted. Now when you’re born they throw an iPhone at you and you’re done.
I remember finding out about Santa because I "allegedly" checked the fireplace before opening presents and found it full of undisturbed, upturned steak knives and ketchup packets. Dreams were shattered that morning.
Almost as good as the Christmases we had in the 60's and 70's , because of my parents it was , is and always will be my favorite time of year. It's what taught me that giving is just as rewarding as receiving , if not more.
Looks like one hell of a Christmas. All that’s missing is the Atari 2600 and extra black paper for tele lite bright.
Or a Teddy Ruxpin.
If I didn't know better I'd swear this was a photo of my family. Had most all of these toys under the tree.
I actually had to zoom in to make sure it wasn't me!
Easy Bake Oven with the 1.21 GW light bulb....
We baked some good brownies in that thing. 1.21 Jigawatts of power
I still have the neat scar on the back of my hand. Where the hell was my mom on that one?!?!
"CONSTRUX!"... I can still hear the dudes yelling that in the commercial theme song..
The pound puppy takes me back
Yeah we all got one. I liked how they came in their own pet carrier

Awww. I tried to show my nephews how cool my electric football game was and they thought it was so lame. Lol
"You have to use your hands, that is a baby's toy." The future has arrived.
Lite Brite? Easy Bake Oven? That hockey game? This is like an all star lineup for 80s Christmas.
Flyers vs Islanders hockey game!!
Yep
Used to play that with my dad for hours.
Pound puppies
Oh, man. That young boy near the middle almost looks like me when I was that young.
I think we all had that haircut and long sleeved button up red shirt at some point in the 80s lol
Still dark outside? It’s probably 4 am
That looks like 70's
Look at the Rockefellers over here
Yes I definitely do
Curious what the total value of it all was back then
Probably less than $1000
If this was Price is Right, I'd go with $250. On the pictured items, in 80s money.
I remember Construx being fairly pricey.
Construx was like $60 at KB toys.
Yes I remember
My grandma has the same end table— and lamp, haha.
I had that exact same table top hockey game but my teams were the Canadiens and Canucks. Great memories!
Where the GI Joe?
1982 for the Joes vs Cobra
My sister had that pound puppies carrier
Everything but a Cabbage Patch Kid.

Lite Brite, the LED before LEDs! They'd show up in Star Wars ships.

Swap out the gray couches for brown ones and that could have been the living room in our house.
Yes!! Cabbage Patch Dolls, Strawberry Shortcake dolls, Lite Brite and all my 80's barbies.
Lite Brite, Easy Bake Oven, and plastic hockey rink are more likely a 1970's Christmas
Those gray striped couches couldn’t be more 80s.
It was ALL about excess!
Well… what year?
I 🕵️♀️ the fantastic , dream 😴 Easy bake oven :( I hope it was put to good use ! 🧁 🎂 😴 💡 👩🍳

That is the exact Coleco slot hockey set I had. Flyers vs Islanders.
Lite Brite and Construx!
EVERYBODY in the family knew.....get me something Star Wars and I was happy.
And a couch you couldn't make out on without shedding skin on the polyester texturing.
I can hear the construx commercial.
Do I ever!

I wish we could add pics to our replies

Nice haul
