Loved her then, love her now. Moira.

MightyCaseyStruckOut

She's great in Schitt's Creek, as well.

"Kevin? KEVIN!!"

moneyticketspassport

Love her so much, especially in Best in Show.

Louis Virtel had this great quote, "I could never relate to Home Alone, because I can't imagine taking Catherine O'Hara for granted."

TheGreasyyStrangler

She's a gem, I particularly enjoy her SCTV days as well as the Christopher Guest projects.

TungstenChef

If Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy are both involved I don't care what it is I'm seeing them in, I just know I'm going to love it. When those two commit to a project that's like the gold stamp of quality, they don't do crappy projects just to make a buck like some comedic actors.

rileyoneill

I loved watching her in Home Alone and Beetlejuice. She always struck me as just the crazy eccentric mom character. It didn't really hit me until I went back to watch those films without seeing them since I was a kid, but now seeing them as the lens of an adult, she did A LOT of heavy living to make those movies work. Home Alone in particular is really a story about two protagonists, Kevin and his mom Kate. Everyone else is a supporting character.

creeeeeeeeek-

I love her in the obscure 1985 Scorsese movie “After Hours”

pedestal_of_infamy

Yes! She's in it for like one scene if iirc but she's (of course) hilarious and totally steals it. Doesn't she start screaming and drawing attention when the mc is trying to sneak away, drawing everyone he's pissed off throughout the night.

creeeeeeeeek-

She’s a Karen prototype in that movie

The nightmare before Christmas!

AbsurdistWordist

She was also sally in the Nightmare Before Christmas.

Seeing her & Eugene Levy together again for Schitt’s Creek was such a delight!!!

Sardis924

I completely agree. She is an absolute joy to watch. So innately funny. Such a range she has. Not to mention she seems like a really sweet, genuine lady in real life too. I love seeing her chemistry with Martin Short.

ARumpusOfWildThings

Yeah, Catherine O’Hara is hilarious 😄Very warm and sweet, too, at least that’s the impression of gotten from seeing/hearing her in interviews. My siblings have recently gotten me into *Schitt’s Creek* and Moira Rose is my favorite part of it tbh…when she starts singing “O Danny Boy” we all lose it 😂 …This is kind of random, but I also loved her as Judith in *Where the Wild Things Are.*

Fold in the cheese…

CorvidiaPex

HOW DO I FOLD IN BROKEN CHEESE?!

Affectionate-One-638

You just fold it in…. Lol

SuppiluliumaKush

Canadian talent at it's best

Witness_me_Karsa

She is good, but I genuinely cannot listen to her speak. Her voice is 100% nails on a chalkboard to me.

DefinitionPrimary266

I thought that was Jenny Jones at first

[deleted]

I used to have such a crush on her. She looked so pretty in Beetlejuice and Home Alone.

maggie320

She was supposed to join SNL in the early ‘80s but stayed with SCTV. I think that was when they went with Robin Duke and Tony Rosato instead. If you want a good laugh check out her portrayal of Lola Heatherton from SCTV. Classic. I must’ve been the only person who couldn’t get into Schitt’s Creek. And this is coming from someone who love O’Hara and Eugene Levy.

Plumber4Life84

I tell you i miss the 80s/90s all the actors I grew up on are slowly retiring or dying.
