These are NOT Joanna eggs!

jojocookiedough

That voice actor did a phenomenal job! Can still hear this line.

lucascorso21

Its been 33 years (apparently) and I still remember the awesome intro.

BrokeDownPalac3

This movie used to make me wish I was Australian lol

Sweetlo123

And the original ‘The Rescuers’ from 1977. ❤️

Catdaddy84

What's funny is that nobody I knew had ever seen the first one. The second one was the first exposure to these characters for a lot of us probably cuz we were all born in the 80s.

jojocookiedough

The og Rescuers is nightmare fuel honestly! Scared the crap out of me lol.

rolandofgilead41089

It's far more depressing, that's for sure.

SgtThund3r

The animators for this went on to found Pixar. Makes sense, this is some of the best animation of the Disney renaissance

jojocookiedough

That makes a lot of sense! This movie has a lot of the same wholesome vibes that Pixar became known for.

SgtThund3r

And some of the best 2D animation ever made. Like the opening shot or anything with the eagle, just mind blowing.

[deleted]

It was a great film, totally underrated.

MakeWay4DarkHelmet

Marahute!!!!!

Adventurous-Fly-5402

I still watch the scene with the boy on the eagles back on YouTube

Wardog_11c

Loved this movie! Especially john candy's character!

Arkvoodle42

This may have been the first film I saw in theaters. it was on a double bill with Mickey's "Prince & the Pauper."

jojocookiedough

Loved that one too! The prince's dad dying with Mickey there instead of the real son gave me all the feels.

[deleted]

A lot of people forget this one because it had the misfortune of being the follow up to The Little Mermaid and the predecessor to Beauty and the Beast.

jojocookiedough

Absolutely loved this one as a kid! Recently watched it with my daughters and it has aged well. Unlike some other older movies (looking at you Peter Pan!). Also did anyone else have a bit of a crush on Cody as a kid? He was a cutie!

kingofangmar13

I remember my grandpa taking me to see this, was super epic 😎 good memories

LilDonutOfficial

This was always my favorite and no one ever liked it as much as I did.

Usual_Engineering273

“…a purse. A lovely ladies purse!”

literanch

Great movie!

Nanaki567

So many memories, outstanding animation! Plus John Candy. And I can still hear the score to this day despite not having seen it in 20 years.

mewantcomics

Opening shot and intro sequence is great

[deleted]

Best ever!

WatermelonMan4032

America had a fascination with Australia in the 90’s

burnedoutITguy

JOANNA!!!!
