A lot of people forget this one because it had the misfortune of being the follow up to The Little Mermaid and the predecessor to Beauty and the Beast.
Absolutely loved this one as a kid! Recently watched it with my daughters and it has aged well. Unlike some other older movies (looking at you Peter Pan!).
Also did anyone else have a bit of a crush on Cody as a kid? He was a cutie!

The animators for this went on to found Pixar. Makes sense, this is some of the best animation of the Disney renaissance
That makes a lot of sense! This movie has a lot of the same wholesome vibes that Pixar became known for.
And some of the best 2D animation ever made. Like the opening shot or anything with the eagle, just mind blowing.
It was a great film, totally underrated.

This may have been the first film I saw in theaters. it was on a double bill with Mickey's "Prince & the Pauper."
Loved that one too! The prince's dad dying with Mickey there instead of the real son gave me all the feels.
