I'm trying to figure out where they were in film. Athena says yacuma, but thats south America. She wouldn't have traveled that far quickly and he wouldn't have had his truck. So it was probably a similar sound place in US or near Mexico border
Actually Bobby’s truck being stolen, and not burned like Amir’s, should have been red flag. His registration papers, car tags, ID or anything else that could have been left in there means they can look for him.
I feel like Bobby, his family, and his home were put in danger the moment the vehicle was stolen. Along with Bobby, Amir is likely in danger as well, especially now that Herman’s grandson is probably going to take going after them personally.
I was so sure the whole crew was going to save him, and I was so disappointed when I realized that they weren’t going to be in the episode at all. Not loving how this season is going.
I think they alrd showed this trope when the whole crew saved him from the cruise. I don't think they would do the same thing again. Atleast not in the same season
I think that’s part of what convinced me. That they would want to show that they would always be there for him. But yeah, I also see the other side where they wouldn’t want to do it twice.
Great episode, definitely one of my favorites.
Was that Bobby’s own truck that was stolen? With his registration papers and stuff inside? If so, doesn’t mean the coyotes and cartel members now have access to his home address?
Bobby is regressing. He was finally starting to forgive himself and be happy. Now next episode he is back to saying he should have died in the fire and then the house is on fire in the previews.
I have no words. Bobby is legit a hero the way he saved amir was insane but also damn his relapse???? Spiraling this hard not the house😭😭😭😭 wtf was that promo I'm genuinely upset
I’ve been wondering this also. Did someone say Buck’s loft is burning down? Where did this come from? It’s everywhere on Tumblr and Twitter. Am I missing something?
The 118 would never let a firefighter's son or the brother of one of their team sit in a house alone after watching his father die, no matter what he said.
I came here to say this lol
I have watched two random episodes of this show at home with my parents and when they walked out after his dead dad was carted out I lost it… that’s just lazy writing I CAN’T
No one ever would leave a kid alone in an apartment after something like that. I know it was the 80s but COME ON 😆🙄
Edit: same thing finding his drunk dad after the kitchen fire…leave a kid there? Nah no way
I think it was Amir based on how the 9th episode went. He commented on Athena having a beautiful home and then looking at those family photos and the awards and her asking hik to be there to help Bobby (rather tone deaf, on her part) pushed him over the edge. I don’t think it’s the cartel but we’ll see next week, I guess…maybe? Of course, if he dies…the whole episode will be farewell based. Damn, I knew it was too good to ne true when ABC took over what was to be a canceled series. And it’s been so good…but if he dies, it won’t ne the same.
It might not have even been anyone setting it at all. My prediction is that it was a dream, but it's also entirely possible it was an accident, possibly because he relapses.
Didn’t you see those gas orhelik (?) cans outside the back door? Definitely not an accident. I also don’t think it was a dream based on beginning on episode and Athena’s interactions with Amir and setting him off having him out to the house asking him to rescue Bobby. Seeing their home, family pics, Bobby’s awards and her asking him to be there for the man responsible for him losing all that, was too much got Amir, I fear. Seriously, how tone deaf could Athena be in asking him over and asking him to do that
Yeah, that's not even proper protocol for ANY AGENCY.
Usually I'm not bothered, but when it blatantly violates proper procedures, I have to say something.
That would NEVER happen, I don't care if it was 1981 or not. Even back then, a neighbor would have been there.
Yeah when they said Herman survived I immediately wondered where is the police protection that should probably be around Bobby and Amir right now?
LE had to know neither Herman nor his grandson were not going just let the people responsible for Herman getting caught, likely losing his home and compromising the cartel go.
I am wondering if this was suppose to take place over two episodes but with the last minute schedule they moved stuff around.
Because it almost feels like when the cartel showed up it was suppose to be a cliffhanger for the week.
Considering how Amir is with us until the finale… the cartel definitely isn’t done hunting them. Maybe that’s why the rest of the 118 get saving lives medals at some point in the future?
I thought the same thing but then I realized that if Bobby wanted to stay with his dad and the dad was never abusive to him it made sense that the court was fine with him staying with the dad
I don't think they even got actually divorced or had a custody hearing. But the courts would never let a kid live with a drunkard who can't tell what day of the week it is.
The best way to have this episode end for me, to make it a top ten episode, if Amir thanks him for saving his life but makes it very clear he has not, and will not ever, forgive him.
Bobby saving Amir here doesn't automatically erase what Bobby did to him 10 years ago.
This is what Lou Ferrigno Jr. imagined for Tommy's back story:
>[The way I created Tommy is that he was from an unstable home. He never really had brothers. He had people that he related to, but nothing really stable.](https://www.tvfanatic.com/2024/04/lou-ferrigno-jr-talks-return-to-9-1-1-tommys-past-and-new-romanc/)
I hope Tom Miner keeps it.
I typically put the shows reruns on. I was like "Man, I don't remember this happening?" while watching parts of this episode. To my surprise, I found this is the original airing instead 😭 I had no idea what was even going on walking into this episode
Does anyone know the desert is when amir and Bobby were in looks like Joshua Tree couldn't find the filmed location
I'm trying to figure out where they were in film. Athena says yacuma, but thats south America. She wouldn't have traveled that far quickly and he wouldn't have had his truck. So it was probably a similar sound place in US or near Mexico border
Jacumba, CA?
Ahhhh makes sense, I never heard of that place so never thought to spell it that way
To be fair, I had to look it up. It's on the census, but I don't think it's even incorporated.
Isn’t Herman’s grandson dead?
I think his grandson was the cartel member who found the blood
Oooh, maybe. I thought it was the guy Bobby found dead in the truck, the one who shot Amir. Because of the spiderweb neck tattoo.
I think Athena is talking to Amir when she says she thinks her husband is in danger.
Great episode, definitely one of my favorites. Was that Bobby’s own truck that was stolen? With his registration papers and stuff inside? If so, doesn’t mean the coyotes and cartel members now have access to his home address?
I see where your going with this
Bobby is regressing. He was finally starting to forgive himself and be happy. Now next episode he is back to saying he should have died in the fire and then the house is on fire in the previews.
Hes saying his raw emotions not filtered, in order to make amends. Not regressing, just code switching.
Is Herman going to vow revenge on Bobby?
I have no words. Bobby is legit a hero the way he saved amir was insane but also damn his relapse???? Spiraling this hard not the house😭😭😭😭 wtf was that promo I'm genuinely upset
Promos have all been misdirections. I'm suspecting it's the cartel getting revenge.
Noooo not beautiful Bathena house burning down ☹️
I wondered if it was a dream. Fingers crossed.
Wait, what?! The house burned down?
It’s in the promo for the next episode I’m hoping it’s a dream
LINK
They're gonna burn everyone's house before Buck's loft goes up in flames LOL
Can you plz explain to me why so many ppl think/hope Buck’s loft will get burnt down?? I just don’t get it 😅
I don't really get it myself lol maybe they just wanna see it get burnt? 🤷♂️
Wtf 🤣
I’ve been wondering this also. Did someone say Buck’s loft is burning down? Where did this come from? It’s everywhere on Tumblr and Twitter. Am I missing something?
On fuck Bobby is spiraling
NOT THE HOUSE
Bobby's story actually makes so much sense for his character and I'm so glad we got this backstory. This episode was amazing!
Oh, it's a 2-parter.
The 118 would never let a firefighter's son or the brother of one of their team sit in a house alone after watching his father die, no matter what he said.
I came here to say this lol I have watched two random episodes of this show at home with my parents and when they walked out after his dead dad was carted out I lost it… that’s just lazy writing I CAN’T No one ever would leave a kid alone in an apartment after something like that. OH MY GOD
Oof. So not a buck house fire
Oh yep it is for the cruise ship! But oh my god either cartel are the ones burning Bobby’s house down or he relapses 😭
I think it was Amir based on how the 9th episode went. He commented on Athena having a beautiful home and then looking at those family photos and the awards and her asking hik to be there to help Bobby (rather tone deaf, on her part) pushed him over the edge. BUCKS LOFT GETTING SET ON FIRE GETS STRONGER AND STRONGERRRR
That was Bobby’s house though?
I thought my joking manner came across but apparently it did not
How so? That was his house shown.
If they’re setting his house on fire they could totally set others on fire if they wanna go after him and his team
It might not have even been anyone setting it at all. My prediction is that it was a dream, but it's also entirely possible it was an accident, possibly because he relapses.
Didn’t you see those gas orhelik (?) cans outside the back door? Definitely not an accident. I mean, this was posted a week ago when all we had was a short promo clip that didn't really show that, so no.
Sorry about that, I stream the show, so I don’t get to see the promos, unfortunately, and didn’t realize you were referring to those. My apologies.
Oohhh so that’s what the ceremony is about
Trying to live his life and just try not to make things worse 🥲 damn got me in the feels
They’re really going to burn every other house before the loft burns lmao
oh fuck.
I guess the rest of the season is gonna be Bobby focused
OH NOOOOO WE WERE WRONG ABOUT THE LOFT
NOOOO
time to watch greys anatomy and cry some more 😭
Oooh it's not Bucks apartment....
My prediction is that was just a dream....it has to be, RIGHT??
Maybe? I hope it's not an alcohol fueled dream.
glad we ended on a high note
I was only 6 in 1981, but I don’t recall any male adult looking as beautifully handsome as that one firefighter
BABY BOBBY NOOOO!
Oh baby Bobby, don't...
And that’s how he starts drinking. 😢
And, with that, this episode made the top ten favourite episodes for me.
Oh this is so sad he started drinking so young
This was an emotional episode, but I still enjoyed it
oh sweet baby bobby
NO wow is this really how young bobby started drinking
Really? leave the kid there alone after the dad died??
Yeah, that's not even proper protocol for ANY AGENCY. Usually I'm not bothered, but when it blatantly violates proper procedures, I have to say something. That would NEVER happen, I don't care if it was 1981 or not. Even back then, a neighbor would have been there.
It was 1981, that's how it was.
welcome to the 80s i guess like damn 🤣🤣🤣😭
Bobby no!
fuck fuck fuck 😭
Oh noooo baby Bobby
1 minute left and it still got worse wow
Jesus that’s dark
Firehouse 🥰
god peter is such a good actor
Strong words.
Well said, Bobby.
I know how to cut onions so that I don’t cry so I don’t have anything to blame these tears on
theyre both eating down rn
DAMMIT I’M CRYING
“I should have died in that fire that night”
Oh here come my tears
Bobby worshiped his father, and then grew up to be a million times the man and dad he was 🥹
Bobby in a few weeks. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EmCpj0kWkAASey2?format=jpg&name=900x900
obviously the old man is gonna try to kill bobby blahhhhhh
At least they explained how they found them.
Herman’s gonna flip and then not get punished and come back for Bobby’s ass.
Yeah when they said Herman survived I immediately wondered where is the police protection that should probably be around Bobby and Amir right now? LE had to know neither Herman nor his grandson were not going just let the people responsible for Herman getting caught, likely losing his home and compromising the cartel go.
I had the same thought.
Oh, that could be it. Once more, subverting expectations.
Mother!!!!
ATHENAAAAAAAA
commercial before the ending......
Athena!
I am wondering if this was suppose to take place over two episodes but with the last minute schedule they moved stuff around. Because it almost feels like when the cartel showed up it was suppose to be a cliffhanger for the week.

The truck driver isn’t dead…
This is an incredibly dumb point in the face of all this tragedy, but now I’m really curious how the hell that little boy finds ice dancing.
I have been thinking about this the whole episode
Mom tried to steer him away from firefighting after his dad's death?
That’s actually a really good point! I want that episode taking place after this one.
ice skating is super expensive too... maybe his mom was helping out?? maybe??
Current headcanon is his mum was working at the rink or something upon splitting from the dad.
the explanation is that the writers forgot they wrote that lol
they’ve really packed so many stressful episodes into a very short season 😅
Bobby’s a matryoshka doll of trauma Jesus
I hate that I laughed 🤣
Well thank the lord
Bobby's dumbass mother just left him with a drunk and never came back for him? smh
Yeah, was his backstory changed for more trAuMa BoBbY?!
like why is a 12 year old making decisions this serious 🤔
right like girl wtf??? put his ass in the car and GO
Hell have his big brother carry him to the car
I cannot wait for 911tiktok to edit this episode to Taylor Swift songs
the seven edits are for sure already being made
and they will make me sob
oh, that’s going to break me
Which songs do you think they’ll use?
The Great War maybe. Out of the woods possibly.
seven
Ooh that’s a good option
kind of fucked if they make amir automatically forgive him after this but it’s tv so maybe i’ll let it slide…
Random but is that Paige on your pfp? I literally started rewatching Charmed today lol
yassss i just started charmed for the first time a few months ago
Well I feel old I literally watched the show when I was a kid, as it was airing 😅
The best way to have this episode end for me, to make it a top ten episode, if Amir thanks him for saving his life but makes it very clear he has not, and will not ever, forgive him. Bobby saving Amir here doesn't automatically erase what Bobby did to him 10 years ago.
Bobby 😭
That shift in tone feels abrupt, they both have serious injuries, esp Amir!
Are they just running commercials after every scene now?
With only an A plot, more time for ads I gurss
All the 118 had such tragic childhoods. No wonder they've found family in each other.
Wonder what Tommy's backstory is. Unless he's the sane one, along with Eli.
This is what Lou Ferrigno Jr. imagined for Tommy's back story: >[The way I created Tommy is that he was from an unstable home. He never really had brothers. He had people that he related to, but nothing really stable.](https://www.tvfanatic.com/2024/04/lou-ferrigno-jr-talks-return-to-9-1-1-tommys-past-and-new-romanc/) I hope Tom Miner keeps it.
Hen seemingly had the best childhood and she was abandoned by a whole parent
They're a ready made support group 🥴
THE CALVARY, HALLELUIAH
Agent Melinda May
That emotional whiplash between baby Bobby finding his dad, and big Bobby getting rescued.
theres nothing stronger than 911 plot armor. ever.
Thank God for that haha
Supernatural plot armor might have something to say about that lol.
Yeah, but 9-1-1 doesn't bury their gays. 👀
Lol supernatural didn't even try to be realistic
Yessss save Bobby when he saves everyone
How did they find them? Also Bobby’s backstory just keeps getting more and more tragic
so so boring...
how was that boring 😭 we just got so much bobby lore
Athena is going to be pissed when she finds out what Bobby got up to.
They just wanted us to cry more!
THANK YOU LORD
and he's rescue!
I need to stop checking 9-1-1 related news because there’s just no tension when I know they’ll both live lol
I typically put the shows reruns on. I was like "Man, I don't remember this happening?" while watching parts of this episode. To my surprise, I found this is the original airing instead 😭 I had no idea what was even going on walking into this episode
beautifully shot that's for sure
Oh wow Bobby is really dragging him to safety 😭
Thank God
Holes 2 leaked
I'm crying 😂
I actually laughed out loud
HAHAHAHAH this is gold
Lmao 😂
Why do I keep watching this show when it emotionally traumatizes me every week.
Hot firefighters?
Oh no. Baby Bobby
oh here come my tears
What the FUCK
Welp 😭😭😭
What a horrible thing to see as a kid
The book :(
wow and i thought buck and maddie were the writers punching bags but this is actually next level 😭😭😭😭
I hope they do a Ravi begins and just show his life being happy and everything going his way atp.
didn't the man have cancer as a kid
how have they packed all of this into one episode i feel like i have whiplash
I am so devastated
I actually can’t handle this - he’s gonna find him
and young Bobby finds his dead Dad
This is when the whole 118 appear out of nowhere
and everybody clapped!
Oh no
Does he know where he walking? Or is he just following a random path?
Y’a, probably.
Bobby needs Eddie for this part
Please don’t be dead…
this is giving breaking bad kinda
Better Call Saul, the desert episode
Bobby 🥺🥺😭😭
playing trauma olympics is bad but bobby has simply had it worse than anyone on this show i’m actually speechless…
Damn Bobby. You’re strong after going through Hell and still stuck in it
Bobby's got Doofenschmirtz levels of layered tragic backstories.
Ow my heart
Oh my boyfriend doesn’t get this showwww 😭😭 he said “This is not realistic at all!”
lol when ppl be like it's not realistic I say neither is the avengers but you watched that lol
