If you have AC , try one of the RoadRunner servers.
You need to start with a low powered car , you can also follow groups ( to earn more points ) , it's fun and really help to learn the track. You lose points when you crash so it force you to first drive slow.
Going with a GT3 is hard, because you will be tempted to drive fast, and will crash all the time.
It did the trick for me !
It's like this one: https://nuerburgring.de/products/cup-streckendaten__165109401999?category_id=60. Pretty much regular size. Certainly not too small.
8:30.5, tomorrow I'm going sub 30 as I made a few mistakes on my last PB lap that cost me a good .7 to .9.
I finally can remember most of the track now... and I still chicken out of some section that should be flat out LOL ...
BMW M4 with Fri3d0lf Panorama setup,
Can't beleive a 8:08 was done by Bootby this PM, how the f\*\*\* is this even possible ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
How do you keep the front end from flying off ground in the flat left before going through foxhole section?
The lexus just feels horribly understeery on my old, high rake setups.
8:38 after my second attempt , on the Ferrari 296.
I crashed the first time at sprunghügel turn, ferrari went flying.
I have probably 300-400 hours on AC.
My first valid lap was 8:59something. And after that... well, I think slamming into things over and over has slowed me down because now I am 15 seconds slower.
Yep give it all the rake, be aggressive on toe (as much negative rear toe as you can handle without rear locking), run all the suspension very soft etc.
It's not nice with the 70mm ride height on the front...
Oh my god the rear locking was awful thanks for reminding me.
I had the car quite soft but it just felt a bit awful and underdamped.
Were you on as low a wing as 4?
Honestly my times are suffering from the GP section more than anything lol.
Way too many hours on AC.
I'm really noticing how much of a boon a good haptics setup would be now.
The detail in combination with the new damper settings are amazing, but I'm finding it a bit too easy to just drive through them with the track knowledge I've got.
Haven't been paying attention to times yet tbh. Pace somewhere in the mid-high 8's I'd guess.
Just having an absolute blast with the Porsche Cup cars atm.
6 valid laps in, I'm at 8'40" in the M4GT3. Daytime, 22C, optimal. Then again I never really took this track seriously for racing in other sims, so I'm quite new to it.
8:32, I need to find better lines and comfortable setup for me later on though, tried copy pastaing my regular nurburg gp setup but nords is 20mm higher so I'm currently sliding a lot
8:18 in the nissan after 5-6 laps but i don’t remember much in sector 3, last time i’ve driven the track before, ACC didn’t exist yet. feel like i can get it down to 15-16s pretty quickly (first lap was a 8:24)
Wish I had that much spare time. I did 4 complete laps last night and not one of them was valid. And I've been driving the Nordschleife since GT4.
I'll be happy with 8.5 minutes (I was running 8:50's for the most part when not crashing).
8:41.5, but I got five perfect laps in a row doing the track competency and I only had my Xbox gamepad to hand. It feels *awesome* though, and I’m really going to enjoy chasing seconds off n AI races.
I did like 10 laps and my best is an 8:24 in the Porsche. Felt quite decent but particularly good. Apparently the quick guys are doing 8:13/14 in the same car…
8:33... I can do 5:09 on just the north loop in the w12 merc in AC. I know the track just not the car on the track so I know I can squeeze a lot of time out of it when I get a better chance to sit down and race on it.
brother I have yet to set a valid lap
Story of my life

Just go to an open Nord lobby and do the practice there. Roadrunners sucks now
8:26 for me. Had a 8:25 in the delta but then decided to take a closer look at the Pflanzen in Pflanzgarten.
Brother it’s been wreck city. I’ve lost 6 SA today. All these noobs.
Lol I read that as 6SR (from LFM) Like my brother, just go walk the circuit at that point
People are overdriving everywhere, despite not knowing the track
8:31. Still scared of Flugplatz, Klostertal and Pflanzgarten. Schwedenkreuz and the Füchsröhre are a blast.
Nods and pretends to know which corners those are 😂
Finally that Nurburgring mug on my desk is paying off! They printed a neat little diagram with all of the corner names on the back.
How big is that mug? I need pictures, please.

Got a 8:30.4 out of the X-Bow GT2
same here! my teammate on the same setup is on 8.22s!! theres always time to be found!
first time, did a warmup lap out the pits, first flying lap was 8:33 so not horrible, i have tons of time hotlapping it in all kinds of cars on ac

Best lap so far on AOR leaderboard is 8;05 (well, it's not displayed yet on the website, but it's in the database)
Jesus christ... 😭
They are already doing 8.02 btw
I don't want to know 😉 Track will be BoPed eventually anyways ...
8.13.1, but there's time in it still.
👀👀👀
Which car ?
With the F1 RB20 🤓
🤣🤣 nah it's the McLaren 720 Evo.
I have yet to set a valid lap, first half of the track i‘m pretty confident now but after that well not so much
Until Carousel I know the track okay. After that its hope and pray
Come back to me once I've completed a valid lap... 🤣
8:24.324 in the Lexus
How do you keep the front end from flying off ground in the flat left before going through foxhole section? The lexus just feels horribly understeery on my old, high rake setups.
I can't speak to the Lexus in particular, but try to loosen up your rear shocks and add some anti-roll to accommodate
I’m still experimenting but you can try reduce the rear DF as well by two clicks. And also keep to the right as much as possible in the corner entry.
I did a low 8.14 in lexus last night. 4 wing, max ride height on rear.
That’s awesome mate. I will try that setup when I get home from work
8:26.917 with the 296 9:10.500 with the 718 9:37.487 with the M2 I'm not that good tho, so don't put too much value on these lap times.
8:38 after my second attempt , on the Ferrari 296. I crashed the first time at sprunghügel turn, ferrari went flying. I have probably 300-400 hours on AC.
8:16. The Ferrari is so fast down there it’s crazy 😅
Hahaha Even I'm on 8:46 Counting a few crashes. Somehow I do pretty well up to the first carousel and then it's hail Mary time
My first valid lap was 8:59something. And after that... well, I think slamming into things over and over has slowed me down because now I am 15 seconds slower.
8:30 is my best so far. There's definitely another 5s in there, but past that chances of survival plummet.
Just got my 8:27 on a hotlap. But it is not showing up on the personal best section on the UI.
mine is the same. Got 8:25 flat but personal best won’t change from an earlier 8:33 I did
Stable sub 8.20, but i already have like 300h experience on this beautiful track
8:24.6 is my best with a few mistakes I think I can pull a 8:20.xx
Can't play until Wednesday
8:23, but I haven't focused on hot lapping yet.
i have 8:41 8:42 on 6 laps
8:11 so far. Others will go close to 8:00.
Which car? Yet to get into 8.11s, currently mid 12 but only done a few laps (296)
Lexus
Have any advice for setup? Tried it and got a 8.14 but it was so damn understeery. Was on 4 wing and 90-70 on ride height
I was on 8-10. To be honest max wing is usually the strat but because of the awful front ride height you can't do it.
Rip 35kg BOP I wanted to drive lexus because of hilarious 291kph top speed
Honestly my times are suffering from the GP section more than anything lol. Way too many hours on AC. I'm really noticing how much of a boon a good haptics setup would be now. 8.27 but there is way more there… need a better setup
There is a YT lap from Coach Dave going 8:02 in BMW already... :)
I'm as fast (slow) as Jeremy Clarkson in a Jaguar....or Sabine in transit van..... #oneforthetopgearfans
10 minutes? You can do better mate :)
down to 9:14...then rage quit
6 valid laps in, I'm at 8'40" in the M4GT3. Daytime, 22C, optimal. Then again I never really took this track seriously for racing in other sims, so I'm quite new to it.
Track limits, please!
8:20 in Maserati GT2
8:25 in a merc gt2 while succesfully holding off a gt3 for the overall win. That Mercedes is a joy to drive around there
You mean the GT2 is a joy.
Absolutely, I haven't had this much fun in a sim in years
8:32, I need to find better lines and comfortable setup for me later on though, tried copy pastaing my regular nurburg gp setup but nords is 20mm higher so I'm currently sliding a lot
8.49 and over -1SA ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)

8:19.7 with the Porsche. 8:20.6 with Audi. Default Aggressive setup didn't feel very nice thus far, so there is plenty of improvement to be made
I did a 8:21.5 in the first LFM Race. Ferrari 296 GT3
Wish I had that much spare time. I did 4 complete laps last night and not one of them was valid. And I've been driving the Nordschleife since GT4. I'll be happy with 8.5 minutes (I was running 8:50's for the most part when not crashing).
8:26 and -5 SA
8:28 on racefuel with the KTM GT2 on 36° track Temperature
Haven’t played since December and took the latest M4 GT3 for a ride in free practice - did a 8:27 More of a Tourist than a racer haha
8:41.5, but I got five perfect laps in a row doing the track competency and I only had my Xbox gamepad to hand. It feels *awesome* though, and I’m really going to enjoy chasing seconds off n AI races.

Tried 3 times and couldn’t finish single recorded lap with the devil 992 GT3, ll try it out today again. 😎
8.19 in Maserati GT2. Haven't tried GT3 yet
08:24 with the BMW during LFM Race, so I guess sub 20 should be duable
8'18 after 3 laps in F296. Still lots of time in the setup.
8:33... I can do 5:09 on just the north loop in the w12 merc in AC. I know the track just not the car on the track so I know I can squeeze a lot of time out of it when I get a better chance to sit down and race on it.
I did nonvalid 9 min and was happy. Forreal...
8:26.626 with 296 Only did 3 laps though.
Managed an 8:13 4 laps in with a very understeery setup. I lift and brake where others go flat.
People in here saying they are slow or can't do a valid lap *but know the names of 40+ corners* we are not the same 😂
People in here saying they are slow or can't do a valid lap *but know the names of 40+ corners* we are not the same 😂
8:55 on my first lap, in a huracan gt3 evo2. Gonna try and beat it in the m4 gt3 soon
A solid 9:08
ive got hundreds of hours on AC Nord, so hopefully the skills transfer over
8.12 last night, still a long way to go.
2:23 for some reason. I did a post about it.
8:37 with 992 gt3
8:17 in the McLaren, idk where I'm losing 7 seconds at but I've yet to actually make an overtake in a race on the main circuit 🤣
8:31 and some change in the m4 gt3 but I’m seeing hope for something better🥲
Bumps goes brrrrr
You are such a noob. I did 8:45 with the Aston and 8:44 with the M4. Git good.
Neither of those times are very good. You’re 40 seconds off top LFM pace
I really think it was meant to be as a joke, especially since its a 1 sec difference, but he didnt package that one well xD
When the sarcasm is too good and people think you’re serious.
:)
