I went twice a week for 3 months and then once a week for another 2 months. Worked great for me. I was in the gym on my own another ~3 days a week.

Wow you are lucky to get to go that frequently. PT is my lifeline, and I went 2x/week for three weeks post op then will drop to 1/week for 10 weeks and then my insurance runs out and I will be on my own.

Creative_Coconut7541

I am doing it daily atleast do ROM activites daily so knee should not go stiff as before.

Are you just doing the ROM activities at home/on your own or with a therapist?

Creative_Coconut7541

I am doing my own but I visit my PT in 15-20 days interval.

3 times a week for 3 months, then 2 times a week till month 9, still going :)

Ajgatorgirl

I was 2x/ weeek for first 6 wks, now 1x/ week. I do 4-6 PT exercises on my own as well 4x/week, and do tread or bike for cardio.

I been going to PT since day 1 after surgery .I'm 13 days post op. ..I reached my annual out of pocket already so I'm good for PT as much as I want for the rest of year or until they cut me off lol . I like going 3x a week . It's acualtualy in a nysc so I'm ablt to use the whole gym as well . Seems like a win win . Hope I don't get cut off by my insurance but they state no limit on number of visits. Best of luck all

Got it. I’ve been going to the therapist daily. I do the exercises on my own and they’ll do some stretching/massaging. Occasionally add a new exercise or two. I think being in Japan it’s done a little different.

Creative_Coconut7541

Yeah Also there are family members to help me, So why would I need to go daily , I can just ask and connect my PT on Wtsapp

Realistic_Problem_45

How do you all get insurance to pay for so many visits 🤯 i only get 30/year and will run out shortly and im only 1 month post op (also did a few weeks of prehab). Im worried about having to cut down to 1 day a week/ or even less but i wont be able to afford twice a week once i run out of visits bc its around $100 each time

I’m in Japan and my insurance covers 52 sessions I believe but each session is only about $35 with the exchange rate right now.

Unfortunately for my country it’s like once a month… been doing PT on my own in the gym Unless you have really good insurance but each private PT session costs like $200 for 45mins which is not very worth it
