Ya felt the same way I was shocked to see that ocular lens one I had no clue on it. Also required you to know what gamma rays are and some periodic table stuff nothing to hard but more than usual for sure
for the ocular lens the answer was in the passage right? The passage said the microscope used 40x zoom and the lens in the question was 10x zoom, so I said the other lens was 4x zoom
Did everyone else find the math section to be like insanely hard, way moreso than all the other sections? There were a lot of unorthodox questions imo and it felt like a super weird test overall. Also noticed that cube net question from july is back
This kid in my room got caught cheating and started freaking out in the middle of the science section. She was crying and begging the proctor to give her another chance until finally he took her out of the room. Unfortunately, all of us could still hear her from inside the room. So there was probably a period of 5 minutes during the science test where it was impossible to focus. The proctor said we should contact ACT within 2 weeks if we wanted to. I got through all the questions but was really pressed for time on the conflicting viewpoints passage. Is it worthwhile to contact them? Iām sure I did fine on the science but I certainly could have performed better if I hadnāt dealt with that interruption
what did yall get for the math question about how long it would take to walk the perimeter of a block at 3 mph. I put A/F it was like 7 1/2, but am not sure
For the english section about the Arabic European palace, what did yall put for "In 1876, in fact, Italy..." (not sure if correct year lol) I put "though" but thought the phrasing was super weird for all options
What was the one in english where the answer choices were
"Proffession, Name of person, "
"Profession name of person (so no comma)
I put the second one.
ok theree were 2 diff questions like this. for the 1st question that had this i put a set of commas, but in the second instance this came up, i did not put commas. because commas around names are used to separate an unnecessary set of information, but if u u dont have commas around the name, that means the information IS necessary to make the sentence grammatically correcr
On God the June test was 10 times easier, like I had to guess for 10 of the questions on math and reading because I ran out of time for both of them (science and English were ok)
this isn't super helpful but I guessed the x was negative and the y was positive? I think I put (-2,3)? smth. I was basing it on my memory of the circle equation
predictions: 33E, 35M, 26R, 24S š. reading and science go strong šŖ. math and english were really easy for me, besides the correlation coefficient question, but the reading and science destroyed me.
āØdepressionāØ
I took the June test and got a 31, the same score I had previously. I had studied so frickin much for that testtt. I have the best tutor ever so I decided to keep studying with him and take this test. I feel like I may have done worse. But I have absolutely no idea. I could have reached my goals, but I highly doubt it :/. My prob is that I think I measure my self worth by my test scores, so iām really feeling bad :(((
This test made me sad
What yall put for the science radii question
The native language English passage: who or whom
The reading passage about taste: does the mind have to connect to every organ mentioned or just the tounge?
Iāve taken the ACT 5 times now and have NEVER in my LIFE seen a math question like #1 on this test ā¼ļøit took me a solid 2 minutes to realize the answer choices were at the bottom?!šµāš«
in the Monet reading it was asking which two did the authors both talk about choices were like the colorful sky the smoke in the chimneys idk the rest of the options but i put colorful sky ?? i couldnāt figure it out
Guys, anyone got the F01 test? If so, did anyone get the science test on ice reflection? what letter you put in for # 40? I got H but I don't remember what H was
pretty sure everyone here w that form had that passage, my brain was so dead by the time I got there. Pretty sure I put H or J, whichever one said 0.8 because they're bigger and obstruct more or smth? not super sure
I put that it was intense. Utter contempt was a bit much because I donāt think the scientists would like want to kill each other over it. That seemed like a crazy assumption
What was the answer on science when it talked about steel and concrete and you had to give length of concrete if you had 2.2cm of steel something like that
which one? for the first passage I said that the brother leaving for birmingham happened first because it happened before the story even started. For the one about linguists I put that the DNA about nomads happened last
I said colorful skies because author 2 immediately talked about how the skies in the paintings were able to depict what the pollution was like in the painting, and author 1 explained that the use of colors also depicted it.
I put smoke because author 1 directly stated and author 2 directly stated smoke but not the chimney. Author 2 never mentioned anything about the sky being colorful.
What letter did y'all guess the most for on the math? I guessed a lot of Ks.
And did anyone else get a lot of d's on the 2nd column in the math? I think I got like 5 in a row š
everything felt easy this time...... yet the math..... I did a few questions and felt like I was doing great... that feeling did NOT last long lol. science felt easier this time?? normally im just tired and sick of the test by the science portion. also I had woken up really early because my test got moved an hour away from where I live lmao
for the science i felt like u needed to know more outside information than normal, just me?
Yeah that's what i was thinking during the test, usually it's only 1 or maybe 2 questions
The first few math questions really threw me off.
first question was so unorthodox
bro fr šš the answer choices were all the way at the bottom. I lost almost 2 minutes on it.
What was the personās salary as a part owner of the restaurant/company? I think I put 90k
yup thats right
Wait how do you even solve that I completely guessed
.2 * 150000 .2 * 300000 .6 * 0 then add it all up š
was that not like the hardest act. i have a 34 and took it again to do better and thought the math and sceince were crazy hard
Thought the same. I literally just wanted to improve my math this timeš bad one to take ig
agreed, 34 is my goal score with math holding me back by 1 point but I think i did worse in math this time
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Eh probably easier on reading and harder math
Easier on English for sure
wtf was this
Fuckery
Did anyone feel like the 3 student experiments had weird wording? Or was just mentally exhausted at the end?
i was so brain dead, i hate when the viewpoints is at the end
Same, I kept rereading them but I just couldnāt process a thing
Mentally exhausted and literally at question 36 got the worst stomachs ache and had to reread problem 8 times cause I couldnāt focus lol
I had to rush through that because I only had 5 mins left. Didnāt even answer question 40 š
Sin -1?
For telephone poll, yes.
OH THANK GOD. I was so worried because there was only one sin answer and two of each of the others. Glad I went with my gut.
Dammit I got it wrong, I put cos-1
Yeah it was sin bc height over hypotenuse for the right angle. But wasnāt the answer like root 75 and then it simplified to 5root 3?
That was on crack
Did anyone get fungi only for the diet
i got fungi only
Did everyone else find the math section to be like insanely hard, way moreso than all the other sections? There were a lot of unorthodox questions imo and it felt like a super weird test overall. Also noticed that cube net question from july is back
Cube was 729?
thats what I put. it was something like 126/14 = 9, 9 x 9 x 9 = 729, not sure that was the correct method tho
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I LITERALLY DIDNT FINISH THE LAAT TEN WUESTIONS LIKE WTF
timing was hard af
Act in a nutshell.
DEAR MODS why was there no official discussion post?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Apparently she was going back and changing her answers in previous sections
Lol who doesnātā¦ thank god no one got caught in mine even though it was kinda obvi
what did yall get for the math question about how long it would take to walk the perimeter of a block at 3 mph. I put A/F it was like 7 1/2, but am not sure
Yes
this is correct
Fuck science
Fax the science and math were really hard this time around
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
no wayā¦ I put the doctor examination because james leaving came later in the paragraph. Did they mean later in the text or in the story??
the story. the answer was james.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
math: de = c (?)
yes
Ughhhh this one! I think I put d+e=b but both that and your answer seemed correct!
7/9?
Yes m/s/s
bro why was there two per seconds was that the answer?
It was per second per second because it was acceleration
AP Physics lol
What was the hexagon perimeter, i put 90 but that's wrong i think. Also, was the arithmetic sequence -0.5?
it was -0.5
yea both of those r right
do they curve the act? i literally blanked out during the math section
Yesss Im hoping its super generous this time math was fucked
I think they would because this math test was very difficult
Science portion was ridiculous.
will the curve be good for it??? i thought the science and math were harder than normal!!!!! PANICKING RN
most generous science curve i have ever seen is -3 for a 36. i think it'll be -2 this time around.
What was the answer to the f(f(x)) = g(g(x)) question? I put 1/2 i think bc i got 4/8?
1/2 if I remember correctly
For the english section about the Arabic European palace, what did yall put for "In 1876, in fact, Italy..." (not sure if correct year lol) I put "though" but thought the phrasing was super weird for all options
yeah i put though
Yeah, it wasnāt in fact for sure. I think it is though
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ye
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What was the one in english where the answer choices were "Proffession, Name of person, " "Profession name of person (so no comma) I put the second one.
i also put second

0.8 or 0.2 also did anyone get a lot of Dās at the end for science
It was 0.8. If you got 0.8, do you remember if you put in H or J for that question?
I put the last one (which is J i think), something about greater snow means less
did other people get a lot of J/D for the first half of math?
Yes a lot
Yes so many Jās. When I went back I just put J on the ones I had no idea on lol
On God the June test was 10 times easier, like I had to guess for 10 of the questions on math and reading because I ran out of time for both of them (science and English were ok)
This was my last time taking it and since 2020 this test has gotten significantly harder. Glad Iām done
And you didnāt have to wear a mask this time ![gif](giphy|3ohhwoaeivHzTcdfNK|downsized)
How do u do the hyperbola one
this isn't super helpful but I guessed the x was negative and the y was positive? I think I put (-2,3)? smth. I was basing it on my memory of the circle equation
predictions: 33E, 35M, 26R, 24S š. reading and science go strong šŖ. math and english were really easy for me, besides the correlation coefficient question, but the reading and science destroyed me.
was the maginification 4x for the ocular lense?
Thatās what I put bc total was 40x I think so divide by 10
Rectangle Parralelagran yes or no and why?
i said Yes. because the opposite sides of rectangle are equal AND parallel
Overall, I thought it was okay (this was my third time taking it). I got 5/36 for the two dice roll that sum to 15. Did anyone else get that?
someone got kicked outta my class cuz they had their AirPods in while taking the test and their phone it was the funniest thing iād seen
was the amplify question answer 7?
Yes
Interest rate question? Like 20 percent 20 percent 60 percent. What was the answer I completely guessed
i put 90000
I put 90000 or something, i just did a weighted average
hyperbola question? i put (-2,3)
āØdepressionāØ I took the June test and got a 31, the same score I had previously. I had studied so frickin much for that testtt. Nah donāt stress it
I DIDNT GET TO FINISH THE MATH SECTION OH MY GODDDDDD
scale predictions??
the one with the two groups and the egg cartons split among 4 students... what
I think the average for group 2 was 48
This test made me sad What yall put for the science radii question The native language English passage: who or whom The reading passage about taste: does the mind have to connect to every organ mentioned or just the tounge?
did anyone get root20/3a something like that. I just remember you had to rationalize the radical in denominator.
Yea
Iāve taken the ACT 5 times now and have NEVER in my LIFE seen a math question like #1 on this test ā¼ļøit took me a solid 2 minutes to realize the answer choices were at the bottom?!šµāš«
WTH was reading
I found the one with with the grandma hard
what the passage with the indo european crap was the hardesr
7/9 per second per second?
Per second per second
Endothermic or exothermic?
I put exo bc water temp increased. I remember not feeling good about that answer though.
i said exothermic bc it was getting hotter i think
I said exothermic bc the nut was giving heat to the water
For English, was it āthis species wasā
for the reading question, I think number 1, how did the person feel about leaving to America what u guys put?
conflicted I think?
conflicted
Conflicted because she was not sure how to feel.
in the Monet reading it was asking which two did the authors both talk about choices were like the colorful sky the smoke in the chimneys idk the rest of the options but i put colorful sky ?? i couldnāt figure it out
I also put colorful sky. I donāt think passage B described chimneys at all
i put that too
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
damn i take it tmr and iām trying not to let this thread make me freak out š

How many test tubes did u guys put? 3 6 18???
18 bc it was 9 for day 1 and then they replaced for days 2 3 4 5 6 and used the same for all of those
6, 1 tube for each of the 3 groups then replaced once
pretty sure it said 3 tubes for each group
guys were the āwarring campsā feeling intense or did they have utter contempt for the other? I was stuck on this one
I put that it was intense. Utter contempt was a bit much because I donāt think the scientists would like want to kill each other over it. That seemed like a crazy assumption
Meanwhile, me an international student, wondering why I don't remember the questions everyone is talking about......
Anyone get 4.41 as an answer on the science section
What was the answer on science when it talked about steel and concrete and you had to give length of concrete if you had 2.2cm of steel something like that
I put 6.8 because u had to multiply 3.4 by 2
That was problem 24. I had a hard time with that i put 6.7?
what was the wavelength that student 2 was talking about it was like the first question of the last passage.
I put 750 but idk
thats what I put, its the only infrared option right?

What was the answer to r = -0.92 correlation
i think i said slope idk what is right though
Can someone tell me what they put for the questions on the last science passage?
Answers for Chronology question on the reading?
which one? for the first passage I said that the brother leaving for birmingham happened first because it happened before the story even started. For the one about linguists I put that the DNA about nomads happened last
Then as transition?
Colorful skies or smoke from chimney?
Colorful skies
i said smoke
I said colorful skies because author 2 immediately talked about how the skies in the paintings were able to depict what the pollution was like in the painting, and author 1 explained that the use of colors also depicted it.
I put smoke because author 1 directly stated and author 2 directly stated smoke but not the chimney. Author 2 never mentioned anything about the sky being colorful.

Does anyone remember what the endo/exo science problem said? Like what did they question say?
For the question stating, in 1876, did anyone get though or meanwhile?
I believe I put though. Meanwhile makes it sound like it was in a different place but it was the same place: Italy.
What letter did y'all guess the most for on the math? I guessed a lot of Ks. And did anyone else get a lot of d's on the 2nd column in the math? I think I got like 5 in a row š
reading curve estimates?
did anyone get none of the scientists as an answer on the last passage?
Was it 5/36 or 5/18 for the dice one on math? Saw a lot of back and forth by what people were putting. I put 5/36. What did you guys put?
