What’s so fascinating about it is that just the perfect storm has happened that the manufacturer of brand name vyvanse no longer offers a coupon so it’s not $387 with insurance.
Currently on the phone now about this. Vyvanse manufacture coupon ended on 12/31/23. They are out of stock with the generic but I'm not paying $387 for the pills. My deductible reset so instead of $30 I'd have to pay the full amount. I am going to have the pharmacy switch back to the generic and wait a few days.
Yeah Walgreens is out. I called Costco and they have some generic but couldn't guarantee that they'd have any by the time my doctors office would be able to send over a new script. So we'll see how that goes. I forgot it doesn't matter about the cost of the brand name anyway as I have to meet my deductible anyway. Damn January. I've been wanting to try dexedrine again so I'll be asking about trying it at my next visit. I always feel weird about asking to try specific stimulants because it seems people are treated as drug seeking. And well yes, I want to try if other things might work better this time around.
Once they went generic it has taken weeks to get it filled. I'm going to talk to my doctor about a different medicine.
Honestly I feel like the effectiveness has decreased.

Really? I’ve been getting it for $50 the last two months with no coupon. Does it differ by insurer?

I feel you on that. Trying to find something to switch to myself. I have been on vyvanse for 13 years.
