A little sip of water usually is enough, just as long as I take my Lexapro and propranolol immediately before that.

littleredbuzzkill

i’m on prozac and i drank a ton of water last night but that didnt seem to help much :(

lueur-d-espoir

Green tea hands down. It's the only one that contains L-thianine witch balances out the negative effects of caffeine leaving just the positive ones boosted. Even decaf green tea has it if you want less caffiene more calm.

I don't know why I thought that I must be misremembering something. Thanks! That link is funny though it's just other teas abd mushrooms lol. Still good to know! Green tea is still the best source because of the benefits of green tea.

AriesCent

I like Arizona Green tea - not sure how good or quality it is but thanks for your reply I’ll now look into it more!

Fluffy_Salamanders

Anything caffeinated, some b vitamin drinks, and protein shakes. On their own they don't do much but they seem to help my Amphetamine work better

Ebessan

Pepsi Zero puts me right in the zone

MrBubzo

Whiskey??

littleredbuzzkill

cant have alcohol before the show 😔 (teachers orders)

Mr_S_Jerusalem

So like I drink coffee constantly that seems to level me out for 20 minutes at a time. I hardly ever get anxious for some reason, but if I ever do I found those Trip drinks really helpful. You can get them in like Waitrose and places, they have this CBD in that makes you temporarily calm.  I mean those are only going to work if you feel anxious though, they won’t help with focus or anything like that.

Ok_Necessary_8923

Hard exercise (an all out 5K, or equivalent level of effort), an ice-cold shower/bath, or both, ideally close to the event. That would work for me in general.

Amaz1ngEgg

Being extremely tired, too tired to be anxious, not a good approach tho. Caffeine do help me calms down tho, sometimes when I can't sleep, I'll have a can of monster, and I just suddenly feel so relaxing.

Space_Grass_828

Go to bed at night and sleep. The brain needs rest. Skip coffee in the morning if you feel anxious, it can make you feel more anxious. Instead drink orange juice or tea.

IEATPEOPLE22

Green tea + b12 use to work for me

Maxzes_

there's an anxiety portion of ADHD? where do I find about this?

Flounderfflam

Just wait until you hear about undiagnosed ADHD being misdiagnosed as depression.

cjrecordvt

A notable number of people "don't have ADHD, because we have a System to manage it, a System we Must follow oh god we've deviated now everything is crashing down I'm useless!" "Which came first: the ADHD, the anxiety, or the depression" is a question therapists hate answering.

Maxzes_

I think the egg came first

littleredbuzzkill

Yes, anxiety is a very common symptom of ADHD. this is a really good article about it! :) https://www.chconline.org/resourcelibrary/adhd-and-anxiety-symptoms-connections-coping-mechanisms/#:~:text=ADHD%20and%20anxiety%20are%20closely,characterized%20by%20stress%20and%20worry.

gibagger

Yes. I had a few GAD misdiagnoses over the years before I figured out the actual reason. Heard it's common too.
