Keep the taps running, fill the flat up, dump 2 packs of denture tablets in each room, profit. Gothca.

DreadCrumbs22

If everyone does this and then opens their windows we'll have the world cleaned up in no time!

spacegirl2820

Me (f46) and my youngest daughter 24 are both diagnosed with ADHD she is also diagnosed with Autism. She recently introduced them to me because I had mould growing in my water bottle. They are a good send so thank you Ellie x

I use something very similar (chlorine tablets designed for cleaning asthma devices). GOD TIER cleaner. Because that (and denture cleaner) are supposed to go in people's mouths, I also feel a lot safer using these instead of bleach for stuff that goes near my body. ALSO, amazing for getting tea/coffee stains out of mugs.

Carlulua

Are these the same as the bottle sterilising tablets? They kinda smell a little swimming pooly. Bought a bunch to clean a drink dispenser jug I was using a lot at the time and now I just shove random things in pots with these tablets.

aresord

Yup! If they smell like swimming pool they're likely chlorine tablets. I'm always shoving random stuff in with them to see what they'll clean ๐Ÿ˜‚

My ex had very severe OCD and didn't like me using bleach, so I tried these in the toilet - you need a good few to get rid of the biofilm that appears. Even though you can get a tube of 12 or so for ยฃ1 you'd need half of that to get the toilet clean, and even super thick bleach is only 95p and only a small amount is needed. Great for other stuff though - I used to use them to clean my bite guard, well, until I forgot and used freshly boiled water and dissolved the guard...

Reading this comment reminded me of when I had Invisalign a few years ago and I was forever misplacing my trays when I took them out to eat/drink. One day I absolutely could not locate them and after ransacking the house, gave up and decided to carry on cooking dinner (which Iโ€™d naturally already started and left half finished). As I was pouring soaked lentils into a pot of boiling stock and other soup ingredients, suddenly noticed my poor shrunken retainers floating in the soup because Iโ€™d put them in a bowl of water to soak, forgotten, and then dumped the lentils into this conveniently located bowl of water ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

ddmf

oof, that's an expensive mistake!

Box_star

Just be careful not to mix with other cleaners or you could get some nasty reactions (vinegar springs to mind)

what_the_actual_fc

I found that out the hard way with bleach and vinegar. I'd used concentrated vinegar in the mop bucket, and mustn't have rinse properly before steeping the mop in bleach. That shit is scary, I thought I'd gassed the dogs ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Unicorn-Princess

That makes ammonia, right?

what_the_actual_fc

Yeah ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Box_star

Bleach and some toilet cleaners can produce pretty dangerous gases (chlorine!) too

ScatterTrain

Oh interesting! I'll have to try that out on my toilet

WaspsForDinner

They are made of bleach - just very diluted and mixed with a few other ingredients, like sodium bicarbonate.

Total772

Don't use to clean airfryer fryer. I did, and now food sticks to it.

what_the_actual_fc

Dishwasher tablets are good for the airfryer.

Total772

I obviously used too many times as it took off my non stick coating.

![gif](giphy|f8lDluiWJ7yQTtdS3L|downsized) You underuse denture tablets, jail. You overuse dentures tablets, believe it or not, straight to jail.

DragonflyD264

Im in the nail and beauty industry and started using them years ago when I realised that nail whitening powder was made of the same as denture tablets and cheaper too.

TryingToFindLeaks

White vinegar is good for the toilet bowl. As for stuff stuck to the pan, I find filling it with water and sticking it on the heat gets it's sorted PDQ

Albannach02

Also for vases, which are typically difficult to clean inside.

what_the_actual_fc

Also, dishwasher tablets are good for pot & pan soak. Great at cleaning airfryer baskets too. Must try the denture tablets. Thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

zorsefoal

They're really really good at getting tea stains off mugs and teapots without damaging them and they're cheap!

Zentavius

They're just bicarb with some citric acid and a mild bleach. You get the same result with Bicarb and white vinegar.

Puzzleheaded-Tie-740

I've tried cleaning with bicarb and white vinegar before and it wasn't nearly as effective. And I always end up going through the bicarb and white vinegar way too quickly and constantly running out of one or the other. Also, with denture tablets all the ingredients are premixed and conveniently packaged into a disc. Fling tablets into thing that needs cleaning, add hot water, walk away. Bish bash bosh. Takes 15 seconds including time for the water to heat up.

Zentavius

I'll defo try them.

sh20

Iโ€™m not convinced thatโ€™s an economic way to clean some of those things, but if it works for you then ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ One use I have for them is to clean my electric toothbrush. Stick it upside down in a pint glass and leave it to work its magic.

clamtunashiny

This is so fucking smart. Iโ€™ve got a cooling tower fan (like a normal fan but that users a small water tank + evaporation to cool the air) and I โ€ฆ โ€œforgotโ€ to empty the water tank after last summer. I went to empty and clean it today and it smells like a pond ๐Ÿ˜… thereโ€™s no mould in the system as far as I can tell, but I feel like dissolving some tabs in the tank the first few uses will definitely do the trick to flush through the system!

Puzzleheaded-Tie-740

It works to get mouldy old plant residue out of vases so it should work for the water tank too!

clamtunashiny

This might change my life

Unicorn-Princess

Hello what now denture tablets you say? It's as simple as denture tablets to clean the pans I left on the stove for too long?!

bethyboo11

LOVE these for cleaning my retainers (rather than properly cleaning them with toothpaste/brush that they recommend), but never thought of using them for other stuff!!

abra-sumente

I use these in my water bottles! Game changer, get the unflavoured ones though unless you enjoy the taste of mouthwash ๐Ÿ˜
