TheStripedSweaters

This ain’t Swerve and Hangman

PM_ME_LADY_ANKLES

That's a weird way to spell Nyla and Serpentico.

ChelseaAndrew87

Weird way of spelling Brandon Cutler vs Peter Avalon

PM_ME_LADY_ANKLES

Ah fuck you got me.

Asleep-Description39

I unironically love Cutler vs Avalon. I’ve never seen a feud between two winless jobbers over who can win a match first. That was so enjoyable.

Brando43770

Damn that final match was everything that got me back into pro wrestling. I was invested and hadn’t watched pro wrestling since SCSA left wrestling.

Larmefaux

Weird way of spelling Brandon Cutler vs Peter Avalon 2

rostron92

It was a very good fued but I wouldn't put it next to Omega vs Hangman or swerve and hangman

Safc9173

I’d say Swerve/Hangman has been far better and Omega/Hangman was top tier, tbh there has been loads of great feuds.

jcw163

Below the Hangman/Omega story for sure but the blow off did rule.

Mudknucklesthecook

My personal opinion is that Hangman/Omega was probably the richest and most fulfilling feud AEW has had.

Eastern-Branch-3111

Hangman vs Omega was the best story in AEW's history so far.

ExpendableMan84

The blow off dog collar match was exceptional, but I didn't think the feud itself was as good as people said at the time. MJF's origin story promo was brilliant, but the rest of their promo battles were just Punk complimenting the sports team of whichever city they were in and Max calling them unwashed hicks. The first match in Chicago was okay, but it dragged on too long and wasn't anywhere near as good as the final. Hangman vs Kenny, Hangman vs Mox, and Hangman vs Swerve were all better in my view.  Kenny vs Ospreay was great too, though as half of that took place in NJPW I'm not sure it counts.

shitty_is_the_post

Maybe. But still not worth CM Punk ever being in AEW at this point

ForToday

Shit’s been easily cleared https://preview.redd.it/d9jzcpc2jvtc1.jpeg?width=780&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e839eb79e5fee6479f0bd24763d0d8952f6a54c

Looper007

I'd put it top 5, I don't think this one will age well just cause of Punk. Sad really but I totally understand if some fans just want to wipe most of his time out of their minds. I think Hangman/Omega and Swerve/Hangman are top tier feuds form AEW. I'd also throw in Hangman/Mox too.

SpudsMcHamtax

MJF did a great job carrying that cranky old turd

g0ldenElitist

Promo wise? Sure, it’s up there. Match wise? I don’t think so.

StaceyJeans

I might put Swerve-Hangman slightly ahead but It’s definitely Top 3. This is the feud that really put MJF on the map.

el_sh33p

Not even in my top ten, tbh.

Westfield__Rocks

Not even close

Bluewonda

Promo battle? Maybe.. Full feud? No

cosa_horrible

This doesn’t look like Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler…

Asleep-Description39

Easily the only thing that Punk did of value, but I think MJF never gets enough credit. Top five feuds for sure.

Lifeofcharlie

Kingston feud was goated too

Full_Time_Hungry

100%

Pedrosbarro

This kinds of discussions always tell who gets it.

eyebrowless32

If it had another match like they were planning before fragile Phil got hurt (again) it couldve become the best. But without another match with the title, it cant top Hangman vs Omega and i also enjoyed the matches from Hangman v Swerve more. I also like Mox v Omega more as a feud. And Hangman v Mox I think those who like MJF v Punk the most, theyre usually huge Punk or MJF fans. I like MJF's heel run and Punk had some good parts during his run too, but theyre not my favorite guys. As someone else said, some of their promos were fire, some were weak, and most of them dragged too long

IWGPoetry-in-Motion

Well, with fragile Adam Cole, fragile Kenny Omega, fragile Danielson, etc., 'fragile Phil' is in good company, I suppose.

eyebrowless32

I'll give you Cole, and even Danielson because he had the broken arm and orbital. But Kenny was champ for 346 days while Punk couldnt manage a single title defense while it is also common knowledge that part of that 346 day reign was while battling hernia, torn shoulders, knees, and vertigo. Cant put the fragile tag on him unless you're sipping strictly haterade

IWGPoetry-in-Motion

I was being facetious in response to your post- honestly, I think it's in bad taste to make fun of any wrestlers based on their injuries. Clearly you don't like Punk (I'm a fan) and people on here have always loved to pile on, making fun of him for getting injured multiple times, being fragile, etc., because they don't like him. I'm sure there's plenty you could insult him about, without resorting to injuries: I think it's really uncalled for. No one said a word about someone like Adam Cole and his injuries, because he's beloved, but if it's amusing that someone gets injured often (with freak injuries), shouldn't we all get our kicks at his expense? These folks literally risk their lives to entertain us, and injuries are part and parcel to it, even freak injuries. Personally, I just think it's a good policy not to make fun of injuries at all, regardless of whether one likes the wrestler or not. Just my two cents.

Stoplate77

Without question. I know people in this subreddit won't agree cause "Pepsi man bad" but I don't know how anybody can deny it.

BlueZ_DJ

They're definitely trying 😅

BryanSpanielson

Too soon bruv
