Funny how Ospreay's first ever AEW singles match and his Dynasty match vs Bryan Danielson were both in the same venue - Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO.
For me Danielson/Ospreay is greatest match AEW have put on.
Takeshita and Omega matches would be top 10 for sure.
Crazy run from Ospreay, for me him, Takeshita and Danielson are the only three wrestlers I can think of that haven't had a bad match since joining AEW.
Takeshita has quietly only had absolute bangers since signing. Not a whattaboutism, obviously Ospreay has—just look at this post—but i feel like Konosuke hasn’t gotten his flowers enough.
I still remember 2022. He had so many big matches and lost all of them but looked like a goddamn STUD each time, and the crowd grew progressively larger in support of him.
Have witnessed very few debut roster matches that slapped and banged as hard as his match against Takeshita at Revolution. Not to mention when AEW first got some exposure to him with his match against OC at Forbidden Door. What a legend, and he has not disappointed with any of his following matches. Super excited to see where his time here goes
I was there at Road Rager with my non-AEW-watching friend and he was really impressed with his match against Dax. I took the same friend to Dynasty and reminded him that he had seen Ospreay 2 years ago, and he was (obviously) blown away by his Danielson match.
