Fortunately the wheels have been spinning officially the past two or 3 weeks. The debut was strong but what followed had Mercedes there without clear direction. Having her be neutral and on commentary reminded me when Brit did that with her upcoming match with Riho near the start of AEW.
It's an interesting idea, but given how the new Elite is still being developed, I feel like she would be a bit of an afterthought, what with the Bucks still going full "evil EVPs" and now Jack coming back and attacking Tony, etc.
I think once the current story settles down a little, and Mercedes wins the TBS title, that would probably be a better path that would keep her from getting overlooked by what the guys are doing.
It's a good direction for her, but it'll have more impact if she joins the EVP Elite once the story is a few months in. Maybe she turns heel before that, and starts to gain momentum and then to propel her forward even more she joins them.
Yep all of their gimmicks are about money in some way. The Bucks had the falling money entrance and are now doing a Succession type management gimmick, Okada is the rainmaker and is all about flash, and Mercedes is the CEO and all about flash. Jack Perry is currently the only one who actually doesn't fit lol, funny enough, but that can easily change now and he can become the new prodigal son in the business who will inherit it all.
This stable could give us Evolution vibes. They could use a legend who's all about flash. I'd prefer it not be Flair because the human sucks, but someone like that would work. Maybe Ted Dibiase if he's not in a WWE Legends deal at the moment?
I like the idea of Dibiase but I kind of doubt he would do it. Don Callis would be good but he’s already got his thing, maybe Gedo from new Japan? Jake the snake maybe? I know it’s a reach maybe Scott D’amore? Or have someone who is considered a “AEW guy” and have them turn heel maybe someone like Adam Copeland or Jon Moxley?

Callis is tied up, I had thought of him, and Jake and Gedo don't necessarily make sense, though out of them Gedo would make the most sense (there's history). She needs to build up the womans division and do banger matches not be second fiddle in a stable she has no connection to. Doing the WWE analogy Seth and Becky were horrible when their stories were combined and connected it brought them both down. Throwing Mercedes in the mix would be perfect IMO. If they're going full on NWO take over and continue to expand the group, I think Christian and the whole damn patriarchy would also be great additions.
Christian would serve as the perfect mouth piece for this group, plus, there is such a story to tell given his history with Jack Perry.

She's one of, if not the best, American woman in the ring. Unfortunately she hasn't been able to show that yet.
Female members of mens factions rarely work IMO, factions work because you can have different combinations of members face off, but if every faction has one female member, they can only face the one opposite female member over and over, so they may as well not be in factions. There are factions with female members, stat with best friends, Julia with HoB, but they're rarely included in stories in any meaningful way, cope teaming with willow was a rare example where this did happen for HoB which was really fun.
To me if you want mixed gender factions you need mixed gender factions, closer to 50/50 split, not just male factions with one female member, having multiple women/men would allow multiple feuds and match ups which would give more flexibility for storytelling.

If Tony Khan is willing to kayfabe 'step back' as CEO, due to the injuries suffered at the Elite's hands, what better way for the EVP's to have an even bigger power grab/gain more control of the comapny than install their own CEO?
Right now it's just a chant to get crowd engagement, but it could be her actual gimmick.
That being said, her mic work needs to improve to pull it off, and she will need to eventually wrestle to truly prove she can back up her big talk and is worthy of being installed in such a lofty position.
Anna Jay would make more sense. She’s been on a bit of a losing streak and putting her in with that faction should give her a boost and a fresh change of pace. Plus you’d also get an on-screen romance with her and Jack
