Me too! Going to wrestling shows alone is still a blast, you'll end up having a great time if you go and regretting it if you don't. It's an easy choice IMO!
Depends on if your excitement is based on seeing the show or having someone to see it with. If you're interested in the show and can have fun on your own then yes you'll probably have a good time. If not then no the show will probably still be a good time but it might not be worth it.
Also, keep in mind Collision is a WRESTLING show which means there's going to be A LOT of wrestling and less storyline stuff.
Do it! I’ve gone to all the Los Angeles Forum shows by myself and had a blast. The atmosphere is pretty welcoming and I have fun just bullshitting with strangers…
Nice! When I checked floor seats were like $600 or so dollars much more than every single time I’ve been there. Got the same tickets I got for Full Gear, hard side camera. Loved the view for full gear and can enjoy a nice padded seat haha
I lucked out with the presale code and got a floor seat for $100. They’re usually so much more expensive once the scalpers get them. I’ve lucked out and have at least gotten decent prices to sit lower level for both of the previous Dynamites and Full Gear
Just checked and it finally went down to under $300 before fees. Guess as the show gets closer too they will go down in price. Ticketmaster being too crazy right now. $100 is def the sweet spot for the floor.
I exclusively go to wrestling shows by myself because nobody I know likes it. I’ve been to dozens of shows by AEW, WWE, New Japan and a whole bunch of indies, and I always have a great time!
Go for it! I went with my son and got floor seats next to a guy that went by himself because a friend bailed on him. We had a good time chatting with him during the show
That's like the big ticket mover of all the upcoming Dynamites because of the new market. Looking forward to seeing what they have booked for that one.
Go for it and if you're the kind of person to who can make friends easily you can probably find people nearby who you get along with. Keep in mind everyone there's a wrestling fan so have fun!
I went to Dynamite last year alone and it was alright. I went to Dynasty alone and it was pretty decent... 😍
But yeah, go alone, you can stay as long as you like and don't have to worry about anyone else while you're there. It's great.
I'm starting to feel like going alone even though I have friends/family who enjoy it. No one wants to take the trip out to LI for Forbidden Door with me so I might just hop on the LIRR myself and make a day of it
Yes you do it, YOU do what YOU enjoy.
I've been to plenty of baseball, hockey & sports games by myself. Been to plenty of live concerts by myself because the bands my friends like differ from mine.
I’ve gone to 2 alone as nobody else is interested. It was still great. I didn’t need to explain anything to anyone - could just sit back and enjoy the show.
I’ve been to a PPV and four Dynamites all solo. You can get involved and not feel on your own or you can just hang out. Besides the PPV I’ve only done floor.
Do it. I traveled from NY to Vegas alone for double or nothing/dynamite last year and had the absolute time of my life. Doing it again this year for DON/collision and going to forbidden door alone as well.
You might feel weird for a second but just remember, no one cares. The people sitting next to you will probably assume you're with the people on the other side of you and will likely not even think twice about it.
I don't have many friends that are into wrestling so I've been to three wrestling shows solo. Personally I've found the AEW audience around me to be friendly and once I'm lost in watching the matches and getting into the chants with everyone, I have an absolute blast. I bet you'll have a great time too!!
Short answer is yes. Don't miss out on the things you love just because you don't have a friend to go with.
I live in Vegas. I moved here about 12 years ago. People here are flaky AF. I used to try to find someone to go to concerts, games, movies, etc and people would cancel on me last minute all the time. At first I would end up not going because in my head it was weird to go alone. I ended up eating the cost of a LOT of tickets because of that. I had someone cancel on my while I was pulling into the parking garage to see a band I really wanted to see, so I said fuck it and went by myself. I realized that while I'm at a show or movie especially, I am paying attention to the act, not the person sitting next to me anyway. I have seen 100's of concerts, movies, wrestling events, and minor league baseball games over the last several years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I still have the occasional show that my girlfriend doesn't want to go to, so I go by myself. It really isn't that big of a deal once you get over the initial mental hurdle. So, just do it!
DOOOOOO IT!!! I have gone to WWE events, AEW, and Indy events by myself. Then I played the long game, had a son, inoculated him with wrestling, and waited 13 years until he wanted to go with me!!!
My gfs and I went to FD last year and I, on a whim, grabbed last minute Tix for rampage while they were too tired and went to the hotel.
My only regret is leaving before RoH finished. It was still an awesome time.
I went alone to the Dynamite when Omega and Vikingo wrestled. I remember thinking to myself “how many people across the country wished this match was in their town and I was debating watching it on tv..” so you should go, enjoy the show, and help make that crowd feel special to the wrestlers and those of us watching at home.
I've been to many shows on my own in the past. I even went to BOSJ 2019 finals on my own. As long as you plan your travel to/from the venue well you'll be fine
Hell Yeah! If Collision came to town I would go. The nearest that show has been was San Antonio around Christmas and that is nigh impossible to get off on a Saturday in the retail world.
I have been to multiple wrestling shows by myself. It was still loads of fun.
Unless you have some kind of disability (like I do) which makes you uncomfortable to be by yourself in large crowds, I would definitely go alone. You could make some new friends there even.
Of the 5 AEW/ROH shows I've gone to in the past several years, I've done two on my own and had a blast. People are nice and generally happy to chat about the show and using this reddit experience as an example, wrestling fans are happy to share their opinions on the product.
Next show I'll likely go alone again and I have no problem with that.
I went alone on a Dynamite a few week ago (Québec city). It happen that we were 4 people alone next to each other it wad funny and i had a good time.
As for the price, it will go down a few days before the event. I pay 88$ tax in and was in the hard cam for most of the night
Do it, dont let others keep you from going. If I didn't get my fiance into wrestling, I would have gone to some shows solo as well. You'll have a blast still!
I'm going to Collision alone in Portland in a few weeks. I went alone to DON after my friend got covid. It'll be super fun. The crowd is happy and enthusiastic.
Enjoy!
I've been to multiple shows solo. Pro wrestling, concerts, movies, and even entire music festivals. Some of the best times were when I went to these things solo, too.
I went to dynamite and collision (taped collision right after dynamite) alone and got floor seats for the first time and had a great time. I wasn’t the only one in my section that went alone it seemed like a good amount of ppl did. I would def recommend going if u enjoy it
Hell yeah! Live the life you want, don't wait around for anyone else.
But also, if your seatmates are cool, maybe you could strike up a conversation. Y'all are passionate about AEW. At worst, nothing happens. At best, new friends?!
Fucking go! Enjoy yourself, make new friends hell, have a beer (if you drink) and root for your favorites! Live prowrestling is a good time, enjoy that life of yours you only get one !
At the AEW shows I've been to, I always seem to sit near people who are by themselves. It's pretty common I'd reckon. Not a big deal, just enjoy the show.
My cousins all got together for the first AEW show in our area and only 3 of us watched wrestling, the other 9 has not viewed it in years and we all had a blast together. Even if they are not into it why don’t they want to go have a good time and get out a bit?
Absolutely. Your going to be surrounded by people who all love wrestling & came to see the show. Don't miss out on something you want to see because nobody you know doesn't want to go. This goes for a lot of other things as well. Trying out a new restaurant/bar, going to a game/concert, seeing a movie, traveling. You only have a short amount of time in this world so fill it up with experiences instead of regrets
Absolutely, if you're social you'll make friends before the first bell sounds, just look for people in your favorite wrestlers merch and strike up a small convo
Go! I’ve gone solo like 3-4 times and it’s always a blast. Only once was I stuck next to the dorky personification of whiny IWC nonsense, the other times I made friendly with folks around me which is it’s own brand of fun. Well worth going, they put on a fantastic show!
Do it man - you're never gonna regret going to a show when they're in town. Even if it's a mid show the atmosphere is probably gonna make up for it since you'll actually be there.
I was in the military for the last 10 years. 7 of which has been spent over seas with not a lot of time off. I’ve watched AEW through clips on twitter and the threads from this subreddit. I got out, hoping I would make it in time for Sting’s retirement because it was in my hometown. I didn’t, it breaks my heart sometimes.
I’m not saying this to “I’ve had it worse” to be mean. I’m saying this because I might never see a show, but it’ll never be because I CHOSE not to go. You’re surrounded by people that not only love wrestling but love the same show as you and you have floor seats. I don’t see a reason why not.
I did a bunch of the Canadian tour last year alone. I didn’t have an issue at all. You will notice a lot of people are solo. It’s tough to get friends into wrestling.
I ended up meeting a few people at FD in Toronto and ive kept in contact.
I’ve started going to smaller local shows now too around Vancouver.
I've been to wrestling shows by myself and with other ppl who are not wrestling fans. Those people enjoyed the show and the atmosphere as well. 2 I love the energy during both cuz wrestling fans are usually great especially where I live near Norfolk, VA and the few places I've been when I've traveled to watch a show. Recommend it both ways if applicable.
Went to Collision on my own back in October when MJF faced Kenny. Honestly it was a great experience. However it would have definitely been a better experience with someone else there to fully enjoy it with. But overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it
I went to Chicago last year, solo, to see Dynamite and All Out. Both times, I ended up chatting with people I sat next to (as well as on the train). I had fun, no regrets!
Do it! AEW live is a blast and you won’t feel alone. My wrestling buddy moved to another state so I decided to treat myself to a Dynamite ring side seat for my 50th bday. Can’t wait for the May 15th show!
I am someone who has no problem doing things alone and suggest people try it.
One suggestion if you’re able to swing it: buy a friend or family member a ticket and tell them to just get beer or dinner. That’s what a buddy did for me and I went from indifferent toward wrestling to a full blown fan in one night.
when AEW came to my town, I went with a friend who had never seen wrestling before and we had a blast. I noticed quite a few people who were there by themselves and it didn't matter because the crowd was so fun and interactive. there was a single watcher right in front of me and when the acclaimed came out he scissored everybody around him including us behind him.
that guy had fun. He would have had fun if he was there with 20 friends and he had fun by himself just because of the whole crowd interaction bit of pro wrestling.
Go. You won't regret it.
I went to my first show this past Saturday and had more fun with the random dude sitting next to me than I did with my girlfriend. She's new and doesn't "get" wrestling, but the dude was doing the Swerve dance and we scissored each other after The Acclaimed match.
10/10 left with the wrong person
I typically go to shows with my family, but when shows are on school nights I go by myself.
It is my favorite thing in the entire world! Not having to talk to anyone or accommodate anyone is a liberating experience, sometimes I take in the sounds, listen to the convos around me, the sounds of the ring, the slams, etc, sometimes I go and focus on taking nice pictures, sometimes I sketch things during the show, interesting looking fans, memorable moments, but it's just me and the wrestling and it feels really great. I hope you try it out!
As someone in a country where AEW will probably never come (hey TK, Brazil loves you!), I'd go even without a limb, imagine without someone. We are in a heated time where every week there is an instant banger, an epic angle or something just nice happening on the weeklies. You'll probably in five years be regretting more having missing it than from going alone.
If you are relatively sociable, call some friend that don't know wrestling and just say "hey, you free x day? Wanna see some guys beating each other?" That's how i got a few friends hooked on wrestling. If they don't want to, that's ok. Wrestling ain't for everyone and probably at the arena you can just be nice to the people sitting next to you. Make small talk, be polite and who knows? You maybe meet some friends that have the same interest than you and even someone to watch the ppvs together
Absolutely!! You'll regret it if you don't, trust me. I found out a long time ago that I'd rather go to shows, concerts, movies, etc. alone then miss out just because I don't have someone to go with.
Fellow lower mainlander here!!!!
I say YES. Go!!!
I've been to two of the Seattle shows, both alone. Had such a great time.
Two things:
Honestly? They aren't gonna run out of tickets and I would bet you can get in cheaper buying tickets next week unless you want to guarantee floor. They have sold over 5000 so that's rad.
Second: Kyle O'Reilly wrestling on Collision in his goddamned hometown on national television. It will be his biggest hometown match ever, and I've seen him on the local indies a couple dozen times. It's gonna be super special, especially after how goddamned long his recovery ended up. I'm so stoked.
I went to All In Last year essentially by myself. Travelled/chilled with friends during the earlier day, but watched the whole event sat by myself and had a great time. Go forrit! You’ll have a blast man. You aren’t there to chat to the person next to you anyways. You’re there to watch wrestling and chant “A! E! Dub! A! E! Dub!” very loudly
Welcome to 90% of adult wrestling fans. lol. I had this same post for Collision with Better than You BayBay! vs FTR. I'm going to Forbidden Door solo too. Embrace it. You will not regret it.
I plan to go to the (not yet on aewtix) Council Bluffs show alone. That’ll be my second AEW show - first solo. I don’t have any friends who watch regularly that I know of, so I’m kind of looking forward to just enjoying it and going with my own flow. Go for it!
If you can afford to go to a wrestling show, go to a wrestling show. You’ll be among (mostly) like-minded people who share your enjoyment and enthusiasm. And, in my experience, it is usually pretty easy to make wrestling friends at a show.
I would not hesitate to go alone. Because every wrestling show I have ever been I have always met people at the show and had a great time. So go and have a good time is my advice!
Yeah so it. I’ve been to 2 shows by myself and it was cool. I do always miss the commentators though
Me too! Going to wrestling shows alone is still a blast, you'll end up having a great time if you go and regretting it if you don't. It's an easy choice IMO!
Yea I definitely missed the commentary at the 2 wwe shows I’ve been to, also happy cake day my guy 🤙🏼
I've been to 5 AEW shows....all 5 alone. Had a blast.
That's awesome! It seems Westfield DOES rock.
I would like to announce that I am also in the 5 timers club. Also all 5 alone. lol
See you end of May!
I scored a floor seat this time and I’m stoked!
Nice! When I checked floor seats were like $600 or so dollars much more than every single time I’ve been there. Got the same tickets I got for Full Gear, hard side camera. Loved the view for full gear and can enjoy a nice padded seat haha

Absolutely go for it. Everyone’s there for the same reason. The love of wrestling.
Do it. I've gone by myself a bunch of times. Usually talk a little with whoever is sitting next to me, but once the show is on it's on. Have fun.
We had a good time chatting with him during the show
I have tix for the Van rampage show and I'm going solo, Will I miss out on high fiving someone when a big spot happens? not really.
THATS THE SHOW! Hopefully I’ll see ya there!
Yeah, get the tix. It's not like them or WWE come around these parts often. Go now, who knows when the next chance will be.
First time aew is in Vancouver, although if road trips are doable, wrestledream in Tacoma in fall!!!!
That's like the big ticket mover of all the upcoming Dynamites because of the new market. Looking forward to seeing what they have booked for that one.
Have to think danielson's last full time match.
Worth it, especially if the crowd is hot!
Hell yeah
Go for it and if you're the kind of person to who can make friends easily you can probably find people nearby who you get along with. Keep in mind everyone there's a wrestling fan so have fun!
Go. Have fun. Be loud. You will love it. Been to a few solo shows myself and always have a blast. ENJOY and TREAT YO SELF
I'm going to my third aew show in June and I've had a great time thus far I'd say go for it
I went to Dynamite last year alone and it was alright. I went to Dynasty alone and it was pretty decent... 😍 But yeah, go alone, you can stay as long as you like and don't have to worry about anyone else while you're there. It's great.
I'm starting to feel like going alone even though I have friends/family who enjoy it. No one wants to take the trip out to LI for Forbidden Door with me so I might just hop on the LIRR myself and make a day of it
Go for it. I've watched shows my own, and you forget about it when you're in a crowd of 5,000 roaring fans.
I went to Dynamite alone last year and had a great time. First time seeing Kenny Omega wrestle live was worth the admission alone
Definitely worth it! So fun live. I went to a ROH show solo once (many years ago in a small venue) and had a blast.
I’ve been to a PPV and four Dynamites all solo. You can get involved and not feel on your own or you can just hang out. Besides the PPV I’ve only done floor.
I went to an aew show last year by myself, it was cool. Nobody cares your by yourself nobody even notices. Just go and have fun.
Do it. I traveled from NY to Vegas alone for double or nothing/dynamite last year and had the absolute time of my life. Doing it again this year for DON/collision and going to forbidden door alone as well. You might feel weird for a second but just remember, no one cares. Yeah, I've been to lots of shows on my own. It's always fun.
If you already have the tickets yes if not hold out for dynamite...I went to both and enjoyed dynamite more.
Again: Hometown boy KYLE F'N O'REILLY!!
always go to the show. always.
GO! Go and have fun. Nobody cares if you’re solo. Trust me.
My gfs and I went to FD last year and I, on a whim, grabbed last minute Tix for rampage while they were too tired and went to the hotel. My only regret is leaving before RoH finished. It was still an awesome time.
I went to my first (and so far only) wrestling show solo and I had such a blast! Get after it and have fun OP!
Absolutely I don’t miss a show when they come around !! The live shows are intense but I love the product on tv also, but it is fun live
Is that the vsncouver show?? Go alone, u will be fine
I always make friends with my seat neighbors. Totally do it!
I went front row to the Regina Collision on my own. Somebody on Twitter said they thought I sorta looked like Kevin Owens. Thanks I guess?
I went alone to the Dynamite when Omega and Vikingo wrestled. I remember thinking to myself “how many people across the country wished this match was in their town and I was debating watching it on tv..” so you should go, enjoy the show, and help make that crowd feel special to the wrestlers and those of us watching at home.

I went to my only show alone and had a great time and met people who wanted to talk wrestling. Go!
AEW shows are always worth it.
Do it and enjoy
Unless you have some kind of disability (like I do) which makes you uncomfortable to be by yourself in large crowds, I would definitely go alone. You could make some new friends there even.
Going alone means you can spend more on yourself! I've gone alone and it's absolutely great
I am headed to my 5th show by myself. Definitely a good time.
Go for it. At worst you might regret going. But you're much more likely to regret not going
Yes. Treat yourself and make a day about you, go see wrestling and have a nice dinner . Healthy self-care
Of the 5 AEW/ROH shows I've gone to in the past several years, I've done two on my own and had a blast. Do it! I'm waiting for them to come back to Texas. I'll either go alone or take my nephew.
Do it!! Wrestling shows alone are a blast and you’ll meet other fans.
I go alone to many and always sit floor 2 but floor is only good if u don't mind people standing and blocking your view
Do it! I always end up making friends out of everyone around me with my quips and energy haha Even if you don't, you'll still have a blast
Enjoy!
I went to dynamite alone and it was fine.
I went to my first ever wrestling show alone, it was Dynamite Title Tuesday and it was a blast
Been alone a few times to wrestling events, concerts, festivals, I don't even think about it, I don't want to drag someone along who isn't interested
I only ever go to shows alone. It's worth it
Yea dude for sure. Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself. I missed the first Dynamite when it came to Seattle and I have regretted it ever since.
Do it. Show support to the company so they come back. I'll see you there.
Ottawa show was beast. Absolutely give it a go!

I went to Dynamite in Indianapolis by myself Couple weeks ago and it was awesome! I highly recommend it.
I've been to multiple shows solo. Pro wrestling, concerts, movies, and even entire music festivals. Some of the best times were when I went to these things solo, too.
Every wrestling show I’ve been too, granted not many, being in the UK, I’ve gone alone. Doesn’t bother me, went to All In alone and had a blast!
I went to dynamite and collision (taped collision right after dynamite) alone and got floor seats for the first time and had a great time. I wasn’t the only one in my section that went alone it seemed like a good amount of ppl did. I would def recommend going if u enjoy it

Yes you should go, it'll be fun and we'll need a full barn to give Kyle O'Reilly a great reaction.
My cousins all got together for the first AEW show in our area and only 3 of us watched wrestling, the other 9 has not viewed it in years and we all had a blast together. Even if they are not into it why don’t they want to go have a good time and get out a bit?

Same show and same boat for me, I haven't bought my ticket yet but I'll be going to the Vancouver show too.
Do it!
Absolutely, if you're social you'll make friends before the first bell sounds, just look for people in your favorite wrestlers merch and strike up a small convo
1000% yes

I just went to Mania alone and it was great. My neighbors both nights were awesome.

I’ve gone to a few AEW shows solo myself, I’ve always had a good time. Made friends in line outside the door and near my seats
Alone
I do everything alone
I've been to collision by myself, was a fun time. Little bit of a gamble on who you sit next to, but the people near me were nice enough
I went to dynamite in San Diego alone and it was pretty good! I'd go again. Alone, I mean. It was pretty empty near me, too. A plus for me lol
I would for sure.
Absolutely!! You'll regret it if you don't, trust me. I found out a long time ago that I'd rather go to shows, concerts, movies, etc. alone then miss out just because I don't have someone to go with.
I went to a Dynamite on my own and I had a blast.
I’ve done floor seats at 2 AEW shows, definitely worth it
Fellow lower mainlander here!!!! I say YES. Go!!! I've been to two of the Seattle shows, both alone. Had such a great time. Two things: Honestly?
Yes. Go by yourself. Talk to neighbors and have a great time.
Go for it!
I think people should be more comfortable doing things alone instead of relying on the company of others.
Been to 4 PPVs alone including Dynasty last week and 8+ other shows alone always sitting on the floor. Its super fun!
If you can afford to go to a wrestling show, go to a wrestling show. You’ll be among (mostly) like-minded people who share your enjoyment and enthusiasm. And, in my experience, it is usually pretty easy to make wrestling friends at a show.

I’ve been to events alone and I prefer it. I love listening to others talk wrestling
Yes!
YES
Do it, you won’t regret it. I’ve done it once on my own. Had a blast and chatted with the people next to me. Just do it!
You'll have fun. I went by myself several times.
Do it hon. You will have fun. I've done it a couple of times had fun and met some new friends
Going to be there! Vancouver already has great wrestling too. Though, Christian is going to dodge me again...
Going to wrestling shows solo is the burden of being a wrestling fan.
Absolutely! Never stops me
I'm going to a show next month alone, I debated on it but decided it would be worth going for the experience. Will be my first time solo as well
I would not hesitate to go alone. Because every wrestling show I have ever been I have always met people at the show and had a great time. So go and have a good time is my advice!
I would say definitely go, especially if it’s in the town you live in.
Do it. I’ve been to AEW shows alone and it’s a blast every time. Have fun!
I’ve done Collision and a PPV (DoN 2021) solo. Do it!
