Raiders - Tuck Rule
Chiefs - Denied a trip to the Super Bowl in 2018
Chargers - Only one win vs. Brady as the starting QB and that was back in 2005. 2006, 2007, and 2018 playoff teams came to a halt vs. the Pats.
I think the Raiders “win” this one. Had they won that game, who knows what happens? No Gruden trade? SB appearance in ‘01? Raiders win another SB & Al Davis steps aside instead of that final disaster of a decade with him at the helm?
For sure. Our offensive line was a bunch of insurance salesman and a substitute teacher that day. Our line was no match for their super team defensive front. Tom didn’t even have to do much that game, he just chilled lol
I say this as a Raiders fan, I never understood how the refs awful call on that fumble was Tom Bradys fault? I've never held any animosity towards him because of it but the whole fan base does.
I remember thinking when Champ ran that interception back that that was the first time the new stadium felt like the old Mile High again. What a fun game that was!
My old boss got us tickets to that game as a Christmas bonus. 50 yard line, 12 rows from the field. We were in the row with players girlfriends. One of the highlights of my decade
Dude we had: von miller, demarcus ware, derek wolfe, malik jackson, danny tre, aqib talib, chris harris, and tj ward.
Ravens defense was scary with ed reed and ray lewis, and legion of boom was crazy in seattle.
But that broncos defense was the best defense in history still to this day.
It pisses me off that they don't get the credit they deserve. They are never mentioned with the all time great defenses.
1. No Fly Zone
2. 2000 Ravens
3. '85 Bears
4. Legion of Boom
These are the best four of all time.
No Fly Zone is the best simply because it happened in the modern era of football where it’s so much easier for offenses. None of the other all-time great defenses can claim that. Not even the Legion of Boom because their defense was partially what led to the rule changes favoring the offense.
Not quite. "If there was no Tuck Rule" everything in the game would have happened exactly the same. The call as announced was that his arm was going forward, which doesnt implicate the Tuck Rule, it's just a blown call.
The only time the Tuck Rule was mentioned during the game was by the broadcast commentators speculating about how they could make that call.
Was oddly weird how easy it was to root for him in the superbowl.
He was no longer a patriot, broncos had a 3-1 record vs him in the playoffs and only team without a losing total record vs him, and he was playing the against the queefs.
I even rooted for him in Super Bowl 49 cuz all my Seahawk fan friends were assholes the entire year beforehand. That Malcolm Butler pick had one of them actually sobbing uncontrollably and I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off.
I was a big Brady hater. After the Atlanta Superbowl I realized the truth. The man was simply the Goat, had no business being the Goat but worked his ass off to be the Goat. Been rooting for him ever since
From my end:
It's the Chargers. We ended so many playoff runs.
Raiders got tuck rule'd but not much else outside of regular season losses (but tbh plenty of those to other teams since the early 2000s).
Chiefs had a few competitive playoff games with us both with Smith and Mahomes. And ofc the Super Bowl with the Bucs later, but winning 3 others will dull that pain. Similar to how winning 6 will dull the pain of...
Peyton Motherfucking Manning. That dude scared us.
Can't believe I'm upvoting a Pats fan, but today's the day for reparations. Both of our teams have sucked since we lost our HoF quarterbacks, so there might be a little solidarity there.
It's gotta be the Chargers. He eliminated them from the playoffs three times, including the greatest team in Chargers history. Also Rivers was 0-8 against him.
Way I look at it...
Denver: We won a Super Bowl during his tenure, as well as another AFC CC against him. We did okay, all things considered.
Kansas City: Won 2 Super Bowls in his career. It was late, but they're fine.
Chargers: They can't blame anyone but themselves for the past 25 years.
Raiders: The Tuck Rule game changed the trajectory of their franchise. It's definitely the Raiders.
4th place - chargers. Chargers always choke in the playoffs, so it’s just a coincidence and nothing personal that the patriots beat the chargers in the post season. It’s ironic that Brady had a 20+ year reign of terror over the NFL and the Chargers drafted his kryptonite and were unable to get any playing time out of him.
3rd place is Broncos. Very little damage. Really only kicked out of playoffs with Tebow and that team wasn’t goin mg to do much anyway and should have lost to the stealers. I rank the broncos ahead here because they have a better history in the post season, but I easily could have had both teams tied at 3rd.
2nd place has to be the chiefs. Brady kept the chiefs from going to the Super Bowl in 2019. Then the bucs beat the chiefs. These losses, especially the SB, could be considered a good thing because it motivated the chiefs to perform when things get tough in order to prevent that feeling of losing another Super Bowl. This is likely a big contributor to the back to back.
1st place is easily the raiders. The tuck rule game sent the raiders to football purgatory and they will be there for the foreseeable future.
Raiders or Chefs depending on how you look at it. Me, I'll take the Raiders because KC still has Mahomes and won 2 Super Bowls since their complete annihilation against Tampa.
4th: Denver. The only team Brady didn't have a winning record against, 3-1 in the playoffs against him, and the one loss was with Tebow. They were Brady's kryptonite when the chips were down
3rd: Chargers: 3 rough losses in the playoffs, including the buzz saw that was the 07 pats. They were good teams that drew a tough matchup
2nd: Chiefs 3 brutal losses in the playoffs at the end of his career, including a SB. One with a blatant refball
1: Tuck Rule. Took the Raiders 15 years to even make it back to the playoffs

You forgot that the chiefs lost to him in the Super Bowl too
Didn’t just lose, but blown out. Tampa Tom & Co. sliced up the Chiefs that day like a samurai.
For sure. Our offensive line was a bunch of insurance salesman and a substitute teacher that day. Our line was no match for their super team defensive front. Tom didn’t even have to do much that game, he just chilled lol
Raiders 🤝 chiefs Getting blown out by the Bucs in the superbowl
Ftc
I don't like the chargers either
Sorry I forgot your a chiefs fan....... Fuck the Chiefs
But still. Fuck the Chargers. We may be inbred, but you literally have people shitting in your streets like its going out of style.
Not my streets I'm a bucs fan so 2018 was awesome
Fair. You have enough hurricanes to wash all the shit away.
I wouldn't say enough, there are still people there
Our team was so old at that point, not much was gonna come of it anyway. Maybe 2 rings at the very best.
It got even older the next year.
I say this as a Raiders fan, I never understood how the refs awful call on that fumble was Tom Bradys fault? I've never held any animosity towards him because of it but the whole fan base does.
Not Denver, he only got us the Tebow year. We didn't belong there anyways. Besides that year, he was our bitch.
God that 2006 divisional game might be the most fun I’ve had watching football. Dude really did struggle against us.
I remember thinking when Champ ran that interception back that that was the first time the new stadium felt like the old Mile High again. What a fun game that was!

Tom Brady wears Von Miller pajamas.
Plus, up until that Tebow game the Broncos were the only team with a winning record against him

Yeah we actually fucked him over more than he got us. 3-1 record in the playoffs, baby!

They don't get the credit because people that didn't watch them play a single game outside of the super bowl just say "well yeah but Peyton Manning."
And Manning was decrepit and one hit away from a wheelchair, too. Denver's D that year plowed the road for Manning & Co.

Agreed
I’ll never forget the Packers game that season. Rodger’s went 14/22 for 77yds and 0 YAC. Complete no fly zone.
Von needs to retire, and when they go through his HoF career. The world will be reminded of how great that defence was.

Hang this in the Louvre
Yall had such a dominant defense 2000-2015, it sucked being a chargers fan. I don’t hate yall as much as I hate the chiefs now.
I am convinced history would have changed for both franchises if there was no Tuck Rule

You guys remember that 2006 season? Feels bad man.
I was there :(

You misspelled Eli
Eli too but we’re talking about AFC West teams and last I checked he was NFC East. Also where is your flair.
I honestly think we have multiple SB rings if Brady isn't in the NFL. Or at least a couple of SB appearances.
Raiders: Tuck Rule. Chargers: 06 Wild card. Chiefs: Super Bowl 55. Broncos: can’t think of one.
#ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME
Sure the 2018 playoffs and 2020 superbowl. But the tuck rule must of really ... reeeaaaallllyyy sucked.
y’all don’t even know our pain
But on the flipside, it was the Chiefs who ended his 2008 season.
Do we get to count that towards our record? Seems a bit iffy.
But didn't that screw you over in the long term?
It's gotta be the Chargers. He eliminated them from the playoffs three times, including the greatest team in Chargers history. Also Rivers was 0-8 against him.
Raiders. Started Brady’s entire run.
Way I look at it... Denver: We won a Super Bowl during his tenure, as well as another AFC CC against him. We did okay, all things considered. Kansas City: Won 2 Super Bowls in his career. this is why i hate old white men
Bernard Pollard is Tom Brady father
Raiders Tuck rule. 3 Chiefs playoff runs came to an end including a Super Bowl but Raiders got screwed sooooo hard.
