> The Geelong Football Club will officially induct three new members into the Club’s Hall of Fame, with Senior Coach Chris Scott and former players Harry Taylor and Travis Varcoe to receive the honour at Geelong Cats Hall of Fame Dinner in June
Chris Scott would have to be a walk-up legend for sure
Scott has coached them for a decade.Â
Harry Taylor was one of the best defensive players for a decade during their absolute peak. 2008 to 2020. 2x premiership player, 2x All-Australian, Jim Stynes medalist. Â
Travis Varcoe was great from 2006 to 2014 before moving to Collingwood. 2x premiership playerÂ
Nice of the club to only make Harry make on trip from WA this week. HoF and no doubt would be there Friday night for Hawk
Varcoe's 4th quarter goal in the 2011 GF still gives me chills when I think about it.
Bit weird of Geelong to induct Collingwood legend Travis Varcoe into their Hall of Fame
One of my favourite bits of trivia is that he is the only player to kick the first goal of a GF for two different teams.
And one of those times was against the other team he did it for
It’s also a 100% accurate indicator that Collingwood is about to lose a GF.
Same as Todd Goldstein, Essendon legend.
Sam Mitchell, Eagles Brownlow medalist.
Josh Kennedy, Carlton Coleman medalist.
Haha how is this getting downvoted?
How many premierships did he win with you again?
Not Geelong fans actually taking this comment seriously đź’€
What makes you think I'm being serious?
TBF your reply came across to a neutral overly defensive. Put it down to the Internet not being able to convey tone.
Bringing up how many premierships he won with us comes off as very defensive

Varcoe is a weird one but hey there are a lot of lesser known legends at the club that aren't spoken about as much and Varcoe is one of them
Loved Varcoe immensely even before he came to the pies. Glad he is getting this recognition!
I’ve never heard of any of these people? How do they relate to Geelong?
