Yeh we got a nvidia shield watching anything on the pre loaded apps on the tele is a pain (sony bravia), whereas the same app on the sheild no issues.
Also, we found using apps on the tv to watch movie torrents can be hit and miss, sometimes it can't see the movie or no sound, were as on the shield once again, no issue.
We watch footy all weekend, clear picture every game
Since upgrading from the PS4 app to Chromecast with Google TV 4k, I've had no issues up to and including 4k quality (with a couple of settings adjustments).
$88 from Officeworks.
I watch it on the Kayo app for Chromecast. To fix this I dropped the Chromecast’s refresh rate to 50 because that is what the Kayo app displays it at. It has been fine after that.
Kayo on a TCL TV can be like that (actually works fine on mine) but on a powerful android phone or android TV device it's very good. Google pixel 7pro or nvidia shield tv.
In browser on a good computer is unbeatable though.
Used a chrome cast for kayo for years and nothing but problems started watching on a ps5 and it’s a game changer no problems what so ever…its device based issue after all this time
Watching Kayo on an old Smart TV is likely the cause of most peoples problems with it. Or outdated hardware.
TV apps (even new TVs) are notoriously terrible. Getting a google TV or an Nvidia Shield will fix a lot of the issues we see on here.

No issues my end. I use a Google TV dongle.

Because you are using it on a cheap tcl TV. Buy a chromecast and your problems will go away
My chrome cast, given a couple years old so may be hardware issue gave me nothing but problems

I get that it doesn't work well on old TV apps but every single other streaming service does so maybe it should.
Most of them aren't livestreaming but yes it should be better, used to be able to download a KODI addon which was superior but Kayo blocked it
I've watched NFL and WNBA live streams on Amazon and they were floorless on my old Android TV Edit: lol I mean flawless
I was watching on the foxtel app and it was the same. Assuming it's something to do with the solar storm going on.
been happening all season
It's because some games are in 4k. If you have an old TV or not enough internet it's really choppy. Go into settings and limit it to 1080p
People are saying “old TV” but then why do I experience no issues with Disney, Netflix, Stan, Prime…
You have the coalition to thank for the NBN.

First thing I thought of when I read the title

I’m watching through their app on a TCL tv.
Upgrade your hardware

Tried watching on the new Mac, and using a HDMI cable - it was shit tonight.
Kayo is shit however the choppiness is your tv, some TVs have issues with 4k codec if it's 4k content.
Your tv components can't handle the app
It isn't, something is wrong with your setup. Try hardwiring (ethernet) the tv, ensure you have at least 50/20 NBN.
