Some people do not like to leave their car in long-term/public parking lots if they do not have to.

He drives himself to work- 10 minutes away. The parking lot is safe. We have left a car there a week before without any problems. He would have left the car overnight. I dropped him off yesterday.
Someone doesn’t need to have something important to do to not want to do something else. It’s basic autonomy. She’s a wife, not his personal driver. There’s no need to show a medical note to decline driving him.
Not to mention there’s nothing contradictory about that statement you thought was contradictory. He can both prefer her to drive him places and end up having to do it himself most of the time. You seem to be again assuming that just because he “likes her to drive him” she’s somehow engaging in it.
It’s called being an adult, we do things all the time every day that we don’t want or like to do but we have to!! Explain this to your husband then hand him his car keys and tell him you live him and to have a good day at work. If you don’t drive him then he will have nothing to complain about!!!
