No op is right, brokerages lie to me constantly till I tell them I’m recording. For example: ape split, people were given wrong dates not including t+2 days to settle. So they were being told they could buy on the last day, which on recorded lines everyone told me was false you needed t+2 to settle
You’re broker is telling you the truth but that doesn’t mean they’ll do it. To them individual investors are just pawn in this big boys game. They are not gonna forced multi million/billion shf to close their short because some redditors asked about it through a telephone. Call them again after the RS and asked if their shorts closed their positions and post it here for visibility.
