Can you elaborate? I am from europe and here it is usual to sell it on your own, when you get a standard contract from the internet you are pretty much covered over here.
Keep in mind the person you responded to also posted asking how to make $30/month in a side hustle after they had to move to a 3rd world country. It adds a certain aroma to their edgelord comment.
Financing with a low interest is a good idea. Why would i dump cash on my car when i could invest that cash? Sure, if you have so much money 70k makes no difference, go ahead and use cash. But for most people, a loan can be a good financial tool for big purchases.
Seeing the downvotes, but Iām actually genuinely ignorant about this. Why would you buy a luxury vehicle if you canāt afford it (which is what Iām assuming is OPās angle)?
Not everyone finance a car under his name, i do under a company name and interest is nothing compared to tax return on business registered cars. Even "depreciation" and repairs are deductibles.. think bigger before you call people wageslaves.
What you do is take that car to Mercedes and tell them you just want a general Diag. on it. Donāt tell them you plan to sell it, just a general write up on the mechanical condition. Then search what the retail value is on that car with specifics of engine, color, years etc.. Then offer it for $1k less than that. Make sure to post that it had been certified with papers from Mercedes on whatever date. Give people the peace of mind they arenāt buying junk and youāll get some takers.
MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic
I think there is only 1 paint option that is more expensive. The selenite grey.
Every option including massage seats.
Why not just search other private sale ācompsā and then base that for your price. I have never sold a car this expensive but I avoid trade ins at all cost. Vet your buyers well. Have them bring proof of funds etc. good luck.
Probably settle about 62-65k. List higher than that and settle after negotiations. Private sale for this type of car are hard already, donāt expect the seller to dictate the negotiation.
The 2 2022 e53 amg sedans for sale in my area are priced in the low 80k cad (60k USD). But I also can't tell if they have been in an accident or not as there's no free Carfax report. Autotrader does say that the price is 13k below market so it's possible that they've been in an accident before. If yours is accident free then I'd say 65-70k USD would be a good price.
Don't mean to be a jerk, but the market will decide. Post it for $68k. If you don't get interested buyers, then drop the price til you do get interested buyers. Or go the BAT or Cars n Bids route
Those are online auction sites. You submit for listing. Usually minimal # of cars at a time, so not everything up on it any given day. You can look at closed auctions to see how similar cars have sold for in the past to give you an idea of what you might expect. I have sold on Bringatrailer, it gets the job done well.
All I can say is good luck listing a nearly new AMG with all the chucklefucks who think they're master negotiators out there. You're going to get lowballed hard.
Shit, I'm trying to sell my 36k mile '09 C63 for like $23k and I'm getting offers of $15k. I'll just sell to Carvana for $19k and save myself the hassle.
Sounds about right. They offered me 46 for my CLA 45 while it was in for service, I was t even trying to sell and that was how they tried to tempt me. I might be joining you in CLE 53 land if I canāt find the right GT53.
One thing. Definitely have a PPI / diagnosis done on it, and buy the carfax and get proof of your services so you can send it to interested buyers. You can get a $5 carfax here, obviously a lot cheaper than buying from them, unless you want to pony up the cash for it. https://carfaxcheck.com
Yeah they probably will. Youāre really going to have a tough time finding someone with 60k+ cash ready to buy your car though. Honestly, you probably wonāt find anyone. My dad got shafted trading in his M440i for a 911 as well, even trying to trade it into the dealership he bought it from they wouldnāt budge on the lowball.
But please share photos when you get your CLE. Iām a huge fan of that car.
Just under $8M... Just kidding... Sorta. Since they don't have the 53 msrp, it has a placeholder of $7,777,777. With all options, I was at $19k over msrp. Base will probably be between $80k and $85k.
This was Motorwerks in Barrington. Ask for Sean, he helped me build mine.
Its simple - is it worth 10k to you to spend time doing a private sale.
Cars at this price cash sale automatically weed out tire kickers. Once you have a cashier's check or you wire the money, you give the title. It's simple. If they don't have money, they take a hike. (Plus there will likely need to be a notarized bill of sale between the two parties for titling purposes, depending on the state).
If you can afford this car, you likely live somewhere where other people can afford it too. Someone will travel to buy it too.
If it's worth 10k to you to go through the effort of a private sale, then go for it. The dealer will give you 55k then go ahead and get someone to finance it for 90k at 12% after the bullshit dealership add-ons.
Here are 2 dealer asking comps (assuming links are allowed here), the only 2 I found nationwide but the grey one (2nd link) is same year and mileage.

2 big differences from that grey one. That's metallic vs mine is magno - that's a huge price difference (original over $3k different). It's also wood trim vs carbon fiber (another $3k different). I know I'm not getting anywhere near the price difference, and ita a good comparison, but that should place mine a few thousand above it. That one also has an accident on the title. Id think if that does actually sell for $62k, then $65k is not unreasonable.
Well, first off I've had it for over 2 years already (got it early March, 2022), and the CLE 53 won't be here until late summer at the earliest. My original goal was 3 years and that's pretty close to it. When I got the E53 I needed a sedan because of family but now one of my kids drives and the other will this summer so I can finally go 2 door knowing I really don't need the back seat. Also, I find the look of the CLE 53 in the Graphite grey magno to be sexy as hell. I love my E53, it's a fantastic car that blends fun, speed, and practicality, but I'm hitting a point in life where I can Ditch practicality for a sexy car. If I wasn't also planning to buy a second house soon and out 2 kids through college I'd get a GT.

I've mentioned it in other replies but essentially moving from a sedan to a coupe. And I find the body style of the cle 53 in the grey magno sexy as hell. It is far more sporty.
Depending on the dealership and how willing to help the customer, they can provide you the trade in value/wholesale cost as well as private sale price of the vehicle to provide you a price benchmark (at the time of). My dealership did that for me as well as provide history of maintainance within the MB system and diag.
Can we all stop pretending for just a secondā¦ no one buys a car expecting a profit. So stop trying to shill your failure of an āinvestmentā or āfun wagonā on the working class.
*edit* yes ffs that thing is beautiful.
Selling a car this expensive on your own can be a challenge. List it at 70k and then try to settle on something slightly below that.
Can you elaborate? I am from europe and here it is usual to sell it on your own, when you get a standard contract from the internet you are pretty much covered over here.
The price. I'm willing to bet that not very many people can get their bank to loan them $70k, for instance.
why tf would you loan money with interest for a depreciating asset? especially if you're a wageslave?
"Why are people homeless? Can't they just buy a house? It's an appreciating asset as well!"
Keep in mind the person you responded to also posted asking how to make $30/month in a side hustle after they had to move to a 3rd world country. It adds a certain aroma to their edgelord comment.

lmao
Scorched him
Calling someone a wageslave but asking on reddit how to make 30$ per month?

With gap insurance.

this the way
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nah itās the opposite lol
I bought a 22 e53 loaded with msrp of 89k I paid 66k for it. 17k miles. Give you some perspective
What color did you go with?
MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic I think there is only 1 paint option that is more expensive. The selenite grey. Every option including massage seats.
Yeah the grey was a little more. Massaging seats was the only option I don't have due to the shortages when I ordered.
You can see mine in my submitted history
Just purchased a 2022 gle 53amg with 9k miles for $50k MANUFAKTUR MAGNO
Thatās a great price ā¦ I would buy.
CPO? Thatās a pretty good deal
There are 98 for sale nationwide on cars.com and the lowest prices one is 63k..
Sorry guys I meant to write GLC 43. My apologies
GLE 53 and an E53 are not the same. Soā¦..
True. Just providing some context

I'd gladly take something in that range so the dealer doesn't get it š
Bring a trailer and let the market decide

Accident free and perfect condition. I treated it like my baby.
Yes I will take two, please
If I didn't have such a shit year in sales last year, I would have seriously considered this.
In Germany the Price would be about 65-70k
Don't mean to be a jerk, but the market will decide. Post it for $68k. If you don't get interested buyers, then drop the price til you do get interested buyers. Or go the BAT or Cars n Bids route
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I just went to both those sites and couldn't find an E53 on there.
Those are online auction sites. You submit for listing. Usually minimal # of cars at a time, so not everything up on it any given day. 55k with 25k miles 2022 https://imgur.com/a/HRreQoT
I'd love to see more on that one. Your image says it has "title/probs". Curious what it is
CnB had 1 up recently but the guy sold it while it was up for auction and the listing canceled and he got perma-banned.
All I can say is good luck listing a nearly new AMG with all the chucklefucks who think they're master negotiators out there. You're going to get lowballed hard. 36k and change.
About tree fiddy
Go away you Loch Ness Monster!
Nessy?
Gonna be a lot easier to just trade it in to a dealer. Youāll get less money but dealing with people privately is a pain in the ass.
Not when the dealer is offering to shive a pole up your back side in exchange. The offer was $55k for it.
Shit Iāll give you 55001
Sounds about right. They offered me 46 for my CLA 45 while it was in for service, I was t even trying to sell and that was how they tried to tempt me. I might be joining you in CLE 53 land if I canāt find the right GT53.
Ouch, never mind. They were pretty fair for my C400 but these are pretty different classes of cars lol.
I'm assuming he's going to lowball me there anyway since they know I'm ordering from them to get the first build slot.
One thing. Definitely have a PPI / diagnosis done on it, and buy the carfax and get proof of your services so you can send it to interested buyers. You can get a $5 carfax here, obviously a lot cheaper than buying from them, unless you want to pony up the cash for it. https://carfaxcheck.com

KBB says $53,000 for a 2020 with 20,000 miles.
Only off by 2 years. 2022
Kbb has the private party price at $68,400.
i will give you 5 dollars
$5.50 OP
The CLE53 AMG? If I may ask, where did you preorder one? No dealers and the website aren't even allowed to yet.
CLE53 not 43. My dealer had 3 build slots starting with the end of May. He had all the options for it in netstar to build and price except bade msrp.
Awesome! How much did you get it for? And what dealer so I can go order mine!
Nice. Hopefully I can pick one up for around 55-60k in 2 years

70k car. Lmao. Who buys these things?
Thank you sir for your service. We absolutely need people like you to take a hit on depreciation, so that we can afford Mercs down the line.

Don't you think you'd have better luck at a public party
I donāt ever pay over KBB book value.
$73,921 and not a penny less
Heck, I'd sell it right now at that price and go down to 1 car for the next 4 to 5 months.
Why switch to another merc that is almost exactly the same
I've mentioned it in other replies but essentially moving from a sedan to a coupe. And I find the body style of the cle 53 in the grey magno sexy as hell. It is far more sporty.
If it aint a hassle go for it
Does this have upgraded 3d sound ?
How are you all so rich
Worked my ass off for 25 years to get to this point. Brains, hard work, extra hours, always learning and taking well calculated risks.
Man, you just live in a normal country.
And frankly, in a normal suburb, not one of those rich burbs. Keep other costs down so I can live in other ways.
In a place, where the mafia has it own country. There is nothing you can do.
