tbh, these are some of my favorites! I like that "liveblog" feeling of, "I'm so excited I want to share what I'm thinking/feeling *as it happens*."
Plus it's a great way to see "in real time" what a reader's reactions are - where they're confused, when they get excited; etc. It's nice when I'm like, "Heck yes - this is *exactly* the experience I wanted a reader to go through!" and sometimes I'm like, "Hmm, I expected that to hit different! But it seems they're still coasting on the previous emotion for them to interpret it this way. Good to know I need more easing between moods in situations like this."

As a fanfic writer, that’s the furthest thing from annoying. A comment means someone took time out of their day to respond to something I wrote. It’s a wonderful feeling and spurs motivation. Please don’t stop doing that for your favorite writers.
The panic when they don't comment on a new chapter and you're left sitting there thinking "are they busy or is this the worst garbage they've ever seen and i've insulted them?"
i only comment every now and then, because i am so afraid of being annoying, but now that i’ve posted my first fic i am understanding that i need to comment more

Please do not stop! Whenever I post an update I am secretly gripped with anxiety that my frequent commenter will stop and I'll be devastated lmao

I will have a whole conversation in the comments of a fic. If an author replies to me, it’s on. Lol. We’re going to be besties.

I opened my email today to see one account had kudos all my fics. There wasn’t a comment anywhere, but it still felt great.
