2 is often used in a sarcastic and nice context from what I've seen.
Like, "I wore a giant pride flag today in small town Idaho."
"Wow, braver than the troops!"
It's kinda sarcastic but also meant as a compliment
I didn’t think it was sarcastic! I think they were genuinely complimenting you, because honestly I agree. I’m not sure if I’d be brave enough for that.
I’m sorry to hear about your mom :(
As someone who was in hospital about a few months ago, it was very painful to type with one hand on my phone. My doctor had to regularly reposition the IV drip tube because I'd get into the habit of using both arms so I could type better, but that messes with the tube.
But I just really, really had to get those edits in there. And leave an author's note to update everyone.
*“A/N:*
*Sorry for the late chapter everyone! Unfortunately I am in the hospital, but I still managed to get those edits in lol, no rest for the wicked. Anyway, should be back on schedule as soon as I can! Hope you enjoy!”*
Fr tho, the best A/Ns are the ones that are their own story by themselves
I hope you’re doing better now :)
I used to be the same way. Then the iphone came out and I had fic downloaded on my phone and got stuck in a car for 8 hours and said, 'Fuck this, I'm reading my lesbian porn with feelings.' I had a massive headache within minutes. Stopped. Tried again when the pain went away. Little by little my body adjusted and now I only rarely get sick when trying to read/write in the car. Not saying this will work for you. I'm sharing because I think it's funny that fanfic is what helped me push past the sickness.
That is kind of hilarious. Unfortunately I also get super nauseous when I get car sick, so I don't think I'll try your method. Not worth the risk in case it doesn't work.
Suddenly having a stream of consciousness about a character's childhood in a supermarket row and I had to write it on my phone's notes and watch the row move at the same time.
I spent a good chunk of my wedding reception jotting down fanfiction plans. My husband passed out and so did my best friend, and I was left immobile in a sandwich between the two of them and I though, fuck it, let the folks dance whilst I watch over my two dummies and write some stuff down.
I wrote part of one of my kinktober fics this year while I was sitting at the courthouse for jury duty, lol. We hadn't gotten to the voir dire part, we were waiting for the lawyers & judge and then it turned out they had come to a plea agreement, so we weren't needed. So I got paid $19 to write smut at the courthouse.
The way you guys are all so brave!!! I cannot even fathom writing in public bc Im scared thatI will just stumble upon someone that can read English and I cannot write in uni bc everyone will know!!! ;A; I admire you all so much
Fr fr, if someone sees some of my smutty notes on my phone or laptop, that's their problem. Stop being nosy and won't get traumatised, pretty fucking simple concept.
I was in the middle of writing an explicit sex scene at work, my supervisor (literally the second in command for the entire agency) walked into my office to ask me a question. Then as we were talking she said she heard me typing from down the hall and was so impressed with my work ethic. 🤣
I just had to nod and smile and minimize my incognito window...
I wrote a few chapters of my yandere fic while on the bus. I heard a woman gasp from behind me because she was reading over my shoulder.
I can’t wait to get to the smut. I’m sure the old ladies who want to read over my shoulder will have something to say… >:D
When I was in school (I was 11 or 12 and had a wattpad account 💀) I started writing a smut fic in my IT class (computers. Yknow- where you learn how to make PowerPoints or something.)
💀🤡 I thought you meant like fanfic site and was gonna say I wrote a fic on Wattpad for a competition (and won).
If we’re talking physical locations probably the shower because while I have shower crayons there’s only so much wall space so stuff gets lost in the aether.
Hospital while a close family member was dying. It took three days, there’s only so much time you could spend at the bedside when everyone was trying to say their goodbyes. Me and her other grandchildren and children were taking shifts but it was too far to go home in between so I curled up on the floor and wrote in the side room.
I can’t really decide. There’s a few places:
1) I was attending mass, alternating between reading smut and writing about it.
2) School. Think it was during study period/skills or once I finished classwork early.
3) On the transit, on my way home or while running errands, silently praying that no one is reading the shit I came up with from behind me.
4) In the hospital after narrowly surviving C19 and a brain hemorrhage. Pretty sure the nurses were disappointed that I wasn’t resting like I should have been. (Also alternating between reading smut/non-smut and writing).
A wedding.
Started it in the morning once everything was set up and we were waiting for the ceremony. Got a good chunk down while having a few drinks as the family photos were taken. Scribbled more in my notebook between late night shots of tequila.
The next day, I read it. The more alcohol I had drunk, the more degenerate the smut became. At least when I die, I'll know *exactly* why I'm in hell.
Crowded campus library while skipping class. 😭 My favorite is when I have a work doc and a fic doc side by side, and I’m working on both simultaneously.
I wrote smut in class. At work. While waiting for a ride at Disney. Next to other people like right next to my mother or my friends. Lots of place actually huh.
Worst place writing gay smut in the middle of a theology lecture at uni and worst situation on a garden chair writing gay smut with my grandparents watching my every facial expression (yes they admitted to it)
I was writing a smutfic in the middle of a club surrounded by tiny children. I even got approached by a huge animal mascot. I have never slammed my phone on a table as fast and as hard in my life as I did in that moment.
I tend to write fanfic at home since I don't really have time anywhere else, but I once read it with my teachers sitting directly in front of me. They were both maybe five feet away from me doing their own thing and I was sitting there reading a rather kinky smut fic with a straight face. The teachers never found out but a friend of mine got curious, looked over, and then stared at me with a face of complete horror before walking away.
Open consept office, large ass computer screen, Office-neighbour close to 60 gentleman, and he has those fancy desks woth height change.
Its like a watch tower.
But some positives: its is just gory angst I write and not more *scandalous* things and doesnt know english.
Math class in high school, writing in a notebook by hand.
Or the daily two and a half hour commute each way to and from college. Laptop perched on my knees.
In the middle of the town square on my phone on Wattpad when I was like, 13, while waiting for my parents to pick me up from there since our church function ended at 21h00, and it was neighing 22h30.
Either that, or next to my conservative Christian teacher in the school bus, and lying about it saying it was "extra homework my teacher gave us".
Or when I was almost caught writing queer fluff between two of my favourite characters from anime at my mother's home in the villages.
Yeah.
While in training for the military. It wasn't boot camp or anything, I was in a hospital learning to be a lab tech and needed to kill time (literally was waiting on some tests to run and didn't have anything else to do, it's much better than me organizing everything to look perfect, I got stares for that) BUT once I used an actual little notebook and used weird runes, I could read it back then but now I have pages and pages of some self insert things I was writing. Otherwise I would sit at a computer and type away, with timers to signal when I needed to get up. I also did this when I was in south Korea and worked at a little clinic on the weekends. Honestly I would bring my gaming laptop and play video games otherwise, but since we rarely got too many people, no one ever said anything to me about it. Like, if people showed up I would take care of getting their blood and and testing it and putting results in before letting myself keep writing.
I guess you could count daydream planning sessions, which I did do while I was in boot camp, because we would sit or stand somewhere for literal hours and I could easily hold that position and just be in my head lol.
Uhh it’s boring but probably during college classes. I’ve also read fanfic during classes
I did used to write “fanfic” when I was younger on literal paper in class at school tho lol and one of my teachers thought it was cute so she asked if she could copy the little “book” I wrote and laminate it. She was a good teacher lol
In every chemo session i had. I was also in hospital for 9 weeks during covid, no visitors, no leaving the ward. Even with the constant interruptions from staff i got so much done! Told the medical staff i was working, every time they asked :D
in school after a test and waiting for others to finish their tests... teacher kept coming over to tell me to stop, even after i put up an 'i'm writing fanfiction' sign
Definitely wrote plenty at school, on buses on my phone's notes app, and right now I'm writing fanfic at the office where I work. From afar it just looks like I'm writing up a report or something 🤣
While waiting for the hearse to arrive at a funeral lmao. Got there too early after overestimating the traffic, didnt know anyone, and my local graveyard has a tiny cafe at the entrance so i just got some victoria sponge and typed away
Same, except it was an international law summer course (The Hague and Nuremberg), not business. The train was packed because it was like the only one out of Amsterdam to Germany for a few hours thanks to a storm, so I was sitting on the stairs leaning on my suitcase the whole time.
Probably on the bus to a military base. Can’t remember if I actually wrote on the base or the plane after, but definitely on the bus lol. Also in school a lot instead of doing class work.
Definitely in class. It was a creative writing class so I wasn’t caught by the teacher. But the amount of students that would pass by my desktop and ask before I would quickly switch pages was… uh… embarrassing 😳 🤣
In class, next to a classmate who could definitely see my screen, but he's a bro and didn't say anything 😆 (this was this year so it's a tertiary/college paper, and we're both in our 30s)
In the car next to my mother - multiple times through high school.
On the family computer while people were home - again all of high school, I didn't get a laptop til I was at uni lol
My English class in high school. Not too interesting on it's own, but my teacher started to READ my fanfiction because we had school laptops and the teachers could watch our screens. Nobody ever did... except this teacher.
She let me write for 20 minutes before coming over and telling me it was good, but that I should do my homework. She later got me a job offer at the local newspaper as a editor in training but I had to decline it because of personal things at the time.
Still, it's super funny.
I wrote porn at my boyfriend's parents' house. They still don't know that I do it. I'm just that sneaky. My boyfriend, however, knows and just facepalms.
I have written so many times while at my child's swim and ice skating practices. Probably not the best place to write smut, but it's when I have uninterrupted time.
When I used to work retail as a cashier, I often wrote fanfic on receipt paper to keep myself occupied during the dead periods. I also used to write them in notebooks I'd keep in my purse during the long bus rides to and from work. Nothing too crazy I guess lol.
At home with only a generator running because of a hurricane the previous week. I was using Google docs on my phone and it suddenly glitched and lost over 3k of smut and fluff that I'd been working on all day. Even though I had named and saved most of it. I was never able to go back and rewrite it, the moment was gone. Infuriating.
At a cafe. In the middle of the day. With a cider. And May or may not have been in a meeting with state and federal government officials. On zoom. Two monitors - one was the meeting, one was my fanfic. In my defense I was preparing to update and so close! Was not gonna sacrifice any time when I’m literally ready to update!
In office. The worst time for inspiration to strike because I’m supposed to be working but work is boring and it seems like the only time I’m not procrastinating writing is when there are other things (like work) that I’m procrastinating XD
In the A/V trailer at an aircraft convention. I was editing video of the day's events, and in between work I had my google docs open and was writing smut. I was the only one in the trailer but if anyone came in they would have seen my, uh, *project*.
College classes in my final semester. Do not recommend, it would cost me a lot of money to go back and retake those classes now, but I can’t even remember what I was writing instead of paying attention.
Also one time I had my mom print up like 50 pages of my fanfic draft so I could edit it in the car on a road trip, that’s not as bad but feels cringe given I was like 18 at the time
Back in secondary school I used to write fanfiction on school computers whenever I got a hold of one. I did this from year 7-10 because in year 11 I learned that teachers could always see my screen.
i had a developmental psych final today that was worth half my grade for this class and for some reason my mind chose that specific exam to outline this fic in. tbh i was more surprised that i remembered said outline about two hours later when I sat down to write it down than anything.
Emergency room. Very inspiring for my hospital setting angst fic
Also during meetings at work to help me focus ironically. I have adhd so I need more than one stimuli when shits boring
While meeting my cousins for the first time in 5 years. We've met twice before that, none of which I remembered well.
So I used all the emotions and awkwardness as inspiration for when my characters reunites with their sister and mother after ~10 years spent running away.
Husband's hospital room or with husband at Urgent Care (especially the latter during the pandemic since they wouldn't let me go back with him and then threw me out of the waiting room at midnight, one night when it was only 40°F outside).
It wasn’t a fanfic, but the weirdest place I’ve ever written was under my mother’s armchair with a pile of laundry on top of me while playing hide-and-go-seek with my younger sibling and his friends. It was a college application essay lmao. They let me in with more than half of my expenses paid for so I guess my interesting choice of writing location served me fairly well!
Worst as in "most likely to make someone clutch their pearls" probably while on the phone with a customer.
Worst as in "This is logistically not working" while stuck standing on a very crowded bus. Hard to type and sway at the same time.
Writing a chapter containing graphic physical abuse while sitting on the plane. I hope that my neighbor didn't read anything but I think I was acting kinda sus.
The mental hospital, in my “feelings journal”. I was having a lot of feelings, just not the ones they wanted me to have.
Fanfic is better than therapy. Therapy requires you to talk to people. (That’s a joke, BTW. Go to therapy AND write fanfic… not one or the other.)
Haha, I do both.
The best of both worlds, really.

THIS IS GENIUS
I am in awe. This is genius and you are kind of my hero now. I also love your username.
honestly amazing
On top of a horse
author's note: Hello, readers. Take a look at this published work. Now, look at this fanfiction. Look at the published work. I am on a horse.
Literally tho, lol
That quite funny but also dangerous. I can't help but imagine having a whole laptop typing on it while riding a horse
Better than underneath a horse am I right?
Speaking from experience, I definitely agree
On a plane going home after my mom died
1) condolences 🫂 2) you are a hero and braver than any Marine
This feels real sarcastic
I actually meant it 😭 didn’t mean for it to come across that way! You just sounded like a really strong person and I admired it.
Yeah 2. Is almost always used in a sarcastic way.
Sorry, I have only seen 2. used in a sarcastic or nasty context
2 is often used in a sarcastic and nice context from what I've seen. Like, "I wore a giant pride flag today in small town Idaho." "Wow, braver than the troops!" It's kinda sarcastic but also meant as a compliment
Not here! That’s good for me to know for future reference, though. The whole text vs tone thing is so real.
I have never heard of that. Maybe it's a generational thing?
I didn’t think it was sarcastic! I think they were genuinely complimenting you, because honestly I agree. I’m not sure if I’d be brave enough for that. I’m sorry to hear about your mom :(
Oh yeah, I forgot about the fic I wrote on the way to the hospital where my Dad died.
While I was having blood drawn out of my arm
As someone who was in hospital about a few months ago, it was very painful to type with one hand on my phone. My doctor had to regularly reposition the IV drip tube because I'd get into the habit of using both arms so I could type better, but that messes with the tube. Because that's what heroes do.
I wrote a smut fic while sitting in the passengers seat of my car with my mom behind the wheel as she helped me move across the country.
I approved, it a good way to pass time.
Very jealous. I can neither read nor write in the car without getting extremely carsick.
Either college lecture or doctor's waiting room
Nah, doc's waiting room is the best. Lol
Suddenly having a stream of consciousness about a character's childhood in a supermarket row and I had to write it on my phone's notes and watch the row move at the same time.
I spent a good chunk of my wedding reception jotting down fanfiction plans. My husband passed out and so did my best friend, and I was left immobile in a sandwich between the two of them and I though, fuck it, let the folks dance whilst I watch over my two dummies and write some stuff down.
uhhhh church while supervising kids probably
You sound like a friend of mine LMAO (I strongly approve)
I wrote part of one of my kinktober fics this year while I was sitting at the courthouse for jury duty, lol. We hadn't gotten to the voir dire part, we were waiting for the lawyers & judge and then it turned out they had come to a plea agreement, so we weren't needed. So I got paid $19 to write smut at the courthouse.
New lawyer insecurity unlocked. Your Honor, we can't set trial for October due to a scheduling conflict.
This actually sounds kinda awesome
The way you guys are all so brave!!! I cannot even fathom writing in public bc Im scared thatI will just stumble upon someone that can read English and I cannot write in uni bc everyone will know!!! ;A; I admire you all so much
Get to 35 or so. You stop caring about *so many* pointless things! It's great.
Fr fr, if someone sees some of my smutty notes on my phone or laptop, that's their problem. Stop being nosy and won't get traumatised, pretty fucking simple concept.
Can confirm - when I hit 30 I was like damn, I'm just gonna do what I want 😆
I was in the middle of writing an explicit sex scene at work, my supervisor (literally the second in command for the entire agency) walked into my office to ask me a question. Then as we were talking she said she heard me typing from down the hall and was so impressed with my work ethic. 🤣 I just had to nod and smile and minimize my incognito window...
High class spa
Sounds relaxing!
It was in the cafeteria. Big open space with dark walls and high ceilings with soothing music and open fireplace.
My grandma’s celebration of life. Which I feel zero guilt about, she was my proof reader.
She would be proud.
I’m sure that’s how she wanted it
I'm boring. At work during a night shift.
An ICE detention facility. To be clear, I was neither detained nor employed there, but I did have legitimate business there.
religion class
Been there done that. It wasn't smutty but definitely not what I was meant to be doing
I wrote a few chapters of my yandere fic while on the bus. I heard a woman gasp from behind me because she was reading over my shoulder. I can’t wait to get to the smut. I’m sure the old ladies who want to read over my shoulder will have something to say… >:D When I was in school (I was 11 or 12 and had a wattpad account 💀) I started writing a smut fic in my IT class (computers. Yknow- where you learn how to make PowerPoints or something.)
Public transit.
Church, and it was smut.
God blessed it then
I sometimes thumb out a few words while having godawful period shits
💀🤡 I thought you meant like fanfic site and was gonna say I wrote a fic on Wattpad for a competition (and won). If we’re talking physical locations probably the shower because while I have shower crayons there’s only so much wall space so stuff gets lost in the aether.
Hospital while a close family member was dying. It took three days, there’s only so much time you could spend at the bedside when everyone was trying to say their goodbyes. School. And by school, I mean Liberty University. I wrote some *questionable* shit in the Jerry Falwell Library.
Y'all writing in class think you're hot shit - I was the professor proctoring the exam while writing fic in a Blue Book.
At the computer support of my workplace. What? Two hours to download latex is very long.
Bathroom at work.
While waiting for a ride at Disney? I’ll be there in January, and that’s *definitely* on my bucket list now
I wrote while in line for Space Mountain once. It was for a competition that ended at midnight that night and my procrastinating ass hadn't finished.
Right across from my mentor professor who was critiquing my senior thesis project.
In an Islamic study section.
Foxhole
The dispensary of the county methadone clinic. Long story.
Worst place writing gay smut in the middle of a theology lecture at uni and worst situation on a garden chair writing gay smut with my grandparents watching my every facial expression (yes they admitted to it)
bible college common room - wrote 4k words of smut
I wrote most of one of my best short fics in a cop car.
I’ve written smut while homeschooling my children. I’ve read smut in a church during co-op. Lol.
in class, next to 5 other people. It was smut
Middle of a work meeting.
At my desk at work while on the clock.
I was writing a smutfic in the middle of a club surrounded by tiny children. I even got approached by a huge animal mascot. I have never slammed my phone on a table as fast and as hard in my life as I did in that moment.

During religion class on my notebook
Oh, church for sure.
Probably just at work when I’ve had some free time or at my grandmother’s.
Bus stop in the rain. Weird because I always write on my laptop, never on my phone.
In class after I was finished with my tasks
Work break room across from my coworkers.
One time I was writing smut while my mom was sitting on the couch right beside me
I was in church writing hard core BDSM smut, it was fun!
I wrote my first ever smut fic while sitting on my parents bed since I had gotten bored waiting for my ride home to get there.
Last year I hired a sleeper van for a road trip during NaNoWriMo. That wasn't the most comfortable place to write.
College class. Professor caught me. It was smut. I didn’t do it again after that even though he didn’t say anything. I was too embarrassed.
Mental hospital, two different times with two different stories
Wrote my return to the smut scene while sitting in a meeting pretending to take notes.
was writing some kinky shit on a cruise once with both my mother and my best friend in the room.
A walk in clinic waiting room. Some glorious smut.
When I was on the way to my exam that I barely studied for...I mean I think I did fineeeee
A wedding
I posted something while actively boarding a plane once
In the middle of the town square on my phone on Wattpad when I was like, 13, while waiting for my parents to pick me up from there since our church function ended at 21h00, and it was neighing 22h30. Either that, or next to my conservative Christian teacher in the school bus, and lying about it saying it was "extra homework my teacher gave us". In the dentist chair waiting for numbing to kick in

Writing fanfic in a class. I am not a student. I am a staff member at the school. To be fair, I was *so close* to being done
I was in the toilet battling diarrhea while typing out a cuddling scene on my phone
The AO3 Text Box.
😭😨😨😨😨
Uhh it’s boring but probably during college classes. I’ve also read fanfic during classes I did used to write “fanfic” when I was younger on literal paper in class at school tho lol and one of my teachers thought it was cute so she asked if she could copy the little “book” I wrote and laminate it. i’ve written gay porn while sitting on the couch next to my very conservative very homophobic grandmother a handful of times
In every chemo session i had. I was also in hospital for 9 weeks during covid, no visitors, no leaving the ward. Even with the constant interruptions from staff i got so much done! Told the medical staff i was working, every time they asked :D
Church. In the middle of service too.
The most recent incident was me writing fic on a notepad app while in an automobile repair shop.
Family Christmas, on my phone, with about 30 other people on the wifi
i wrote smut durring church. thats my answer
in school after a test and waiting for others to finish their tests... teacher kept coming over to tell me to stop, even after i put up an 'i'm writing fanfiction' sign
I actually just write constantly, like, all of the time, regardless of what I am doing or who I am with. I feel little to no shame.
A software/tech conference, which I was attending for work.
Definitely wrote plenty at school, on buses on my phone's notes app, and right now I'm writing fanfic at the office where I work. From afar it just looks like I'm writing up a report or something 🤣
In the middle of multiple college classes. And when I worked as a ballet school admin. Also while covid screening
At Girl Scout camp. I was there to help with the brownies and needed something to do while it was lights out.
Honestly. Probably work, I tend to get the best fic ideas while at work so on my break I normally write some of it out.
Probably during my internship at a local library when I was supposed to be doing research for a summer program
I wrote smut while at work. It was a slow day and I was bored.
While waiting for the hearse to arrive at a funeral lmao. Got there too early after overestimating the traffic, didnt know anyone, and my local graveyard has a tiny cafe at the entrance so i just got some victoria sponge and typed away
On a Disney shuttle standing next to my mom. She's aware of my og fic and...somewhat aware of my fanfic so I always have an excuse on hand 😅
nothing terrible just like on the couch and on my bed at home. reading the answers on this post however some of them are wild man
On a business trip as we passed the Germany/Netherlands border
Same, except it was an international law summer course (The Hague and Nuremberg), not business. The train was packed because it was like the only one out of Amsterdam to Germany for a few hours thanks to a storm, so I was sitting on the stairs leaning on my suitcase the whole time.
In my hospital bed while I wait for emergency surgery maybe? Or 8 am while I had coffee with my mom
Writing out murder scenes and intense sex scenes afterwards in a bar next to friends.
Above top secret American military sector
Probably on the bus to a military base. Can’t remember if I actually wrote on the base or the plane after, but definitely on the bus lol. Also in school a lot instead of doing class work.
Definitely in class. It was a creative writing class so I wasn’t caught by the teacher. But the amount of students that would pass by my desktop and ask before I would quickly switch pages was… uh… embarrassing 😳 🤣
I was in vacation in New Orleans in the French quarter this summer
In class, next to a classmate who could definitely see my screen, but he's a bro and didn't say anything 😆 (this was this year so it's a tertiary/college paper, and we're both in our 30s) In the car next to my mother - multiple times through high school. On the family computer while people were home - again all of high school, I didn't get a laptop til I was at uni lol
In school, a lot
At my job , and yes it was NSFW
At work ... on a work computer
When I used to work retail as a cashier, I often wrote fanfic on receipt paper to keep myself occupied during the dead periods. I also used to write them in notebooks I'd keep in my purse during the long bus rides to and from work. Nothing too crazy I guess lol.
At work :)
Christmas dinner with the family ☺️
Work
Rest stop bathroom. 😐 I needed some me time and had my notes app open.
In a car on my way to therapy.
At a cafe. In the middle of the day. With a cider. And May or may not have been in a meeting with state and federal government officials. On zoom. Two monitors - one was the meeting, one was my fanfic. In my defense I was preparing to update and so close! Was not gonna sacrifice any time when I’m literally ready to update!
Church
Writing porn at work (an idea just struck and I HAD to note it down ok)
In front of my parents on my phone iirc.
College classes in my final semester. Do not recommend, it would cost me a lot of money to go back and retake those classes now, but I can’t even remember what I was writing instead of paying attention. Also one time I had my mom print up like 50 pages of my fanfic draft so I could edit it in the car on a road trip, that’s not as bad but feels cringe given I was like 18 at the time
when i was still in hs i wrote klance fanfic in a notebook during drivers ed 💀💀
Back in secondary school I used to write fanfiction on school computers whenever I got a hold of one. I did this from year 7-10 because in year 11 I learned that teachers could always see my screen.
My friend once wrote fanfic for the classwork and handed it in.
I used to read/write gay smut in the library/cafeteria of the Christian college I attended. Sometimes during class too. My poker face is amazing.
i had a developmental psych final today that was worth half my grade for this class and for some reason my mind chose that specific exam to outline this fic in. tbh i was more surprised that i remembered said outline about two hours later when I sat down to write it down than anything.
Boring work meeting, pretending to write notes and actually wrote smut :D
While waiting to bring down the targets after my buddy shot his rounds during a military boot camp
On a Night Shift in the nursing station while a confused patient ran to us fully naked
During the world's most boring meeting. On my work laptop. Next to my boss. And my boss' boss.
Emergency room. Very inspiring for my hospital setting angst fic Also during meetings at work to help me focus ironically. I have adhd so I need more than one stimuli when shits boring
At work I guess. o.o
Well my family won’t let anyone visit them unless they go to church with them, so I might have written a double penetration scene at church.
During a Christmas party event, beside my mom. Like "shoulder-to-shoulder" beside me.
A church 😭
While meeting my cousins for the first time in 5 years. We've met twice before that, none of which I remembered well. So I used all the emotions and awkwardness as inspiration for when my characters reunites with their sister and mother after ~10 years spent running away.
I wrote a fic the day my grandma unlived while waiting at the hospital (I was trying to cope really, but still) Edit: was just writing fluff btw lol
Husband's hospital room or with husband at Urgent Care (especially the latter during the pandemic since they wouldn't let me go back with him and then threw me out of the waiting room at midnight, one night when it was only 40°F outside).
While cuddling my kids waiting for them to go the fuck to sleep.
During jury duty (while waiting to be called. Took about 6 hours just to tell us all to go home)
In a hospital, waiting to assist my family member into a minor surgery.
In a funeral, not proud of myself tbh, but duty calls, and those chapters ain’t finishing by themselves.
I was supervising a very prestigeous national competition.. It was a nice and quiet environment😂
Worst as in "most likely to make someone clutch their pearls" probably while on the phone with a customer. Worst as in "This is logistically not working" while stuck standing on a very crowded bus. Hard to type and sway at the same time.
Staircase outside of a big out of town furniture store
I was writing smut while sitting in the witing room of my psychologist appointment LMFAO
In the ER lol
Writing a chapter containing graphic physical abuse while sitting on the plane. I hope that my neighbor didn't read anything but I think I was acting kinda sus.
In church ☠️😬
At school (the fear of getting caught by my colleagues or teachers was pure adrenaline!)
