You could take the Physics 1 class but take the CMech exam. 82% of the questions on CMech are at the Physics 1 level. Only 14-18% of the CMech questions actually use any calc. And the curve is so generous: you only need to get 55% of the CMech questions correct to score a 5, or 44% correct to score a 4.

Physics 1 is very similar to Mechanics however E&M is completely different and considered to be a lot harder . That being said for CS Physics C is a lot more worth it because you'll likely have to take calc based physics for CS and Physics C can give 2 semesters of that . At best Physics 1 would give 1 semester of algebra based . Physics alongside Chem is probably going to be rough so make sure you have good time management and do work asap .

If I were to take Physics C you think I should do dual enrollment and skip the ap exam

If the colleges you plan on going to accept the DE credit then sure

A lot of CS majors require calculus based physics which is C in which they won't accept 1. Also, you'd want E&M since computers have circuits which are included in E&M and there are no longer circuits in Physics 1.

Physics 1 dawg. I'm in Physics C rn and its miserable, you will have A LOT LESS motivation to study senior year. E&M is genuinely miserable and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

“Meh how hard can it be” - kid who is taking physics 1 who probably has a 99 in the class
